Played here Tues 10/11
Course was in decent shape, greens have not been punched yet. Under new management. Same company that owns Los Amigos.

Customer service was good, got us out ahead of time. Tee boxes were decent, playable. Fairways were beginning to go dormant, and had some thin spots. Bunkers were thin no sand on couple I found. Greens rolled nice, some ball marks.

4.5 POP/ Good breakfast sandwich, and cold beer at the 19th w/really crispy Onion rings.

Played Saturday 10/8, Men's club monthly tourney.
Course was in good shape. Tee boxes were OK, not many divots, fairly flat. Fairways were decent, closely mowed and had good run, decent lie, a few had thins spots here and there. Rough was about 3 inches, and playable.Bunkers were good sand in them. Greens were not punched yet, but had a few ball marks on everyone. I give it a 6. 4 hr POP

Customer service was great from the friendly starter to the front desk. Greeted us like they wanted us there. If you play there look for an Elderly gentleman, one of the player assistants. We joked with the starter about another tourney ahead of us as to what to expect on POP. He pointed to the gentleman and said " Don't worry "the Hammer" will be out there moving things along, Don't piss him off?" lol.

Played Tues 9/20 - customer service as always was very good, breakfast special is a good deal. Got off on time.

The course was in OK condition, not lush but not completely brown. Tee boxes were ok some not level, fairways ran OK, bunkers were hard pan with little to no sand, greens are still recovering from being punched two weeks ago. Rough was wicked, got me several times with the grass roots grabbing my club head.

19th hole is always nice - cold pitcher of Dos XX, order of crispy O'rings and crispy fries.
Keep it in the short stuff!

“Senior All Inclusive special” for $50 = green fee, balls, lunch or breakfast w/drink included, great deal. We played on Tuesday 5/24, PoP just over 4 hrs. The course is in very good condition, Greens were great, rolling very quick and hold most iron shots well. Fairways were dry with lots of roll out, some thin spots, but we mostly had decent lies, there were many divots most were filled, some not. Bunkers were hard packed got some bad SW skulls from club bouncing into mid ball.
Overall we always enjoy playing here, Customer Service is always great. Friendly desk service, starter, and great dining room service. Well worth the price. It used to be Brkfst, lunch, and 2 drinks which was a steal. Brkfst sandwich is decent for under $4. Cart girl came around several times during our round.

Played on Sat 4/2 8AM tee time. Agree pretty much with mpisarski01, Costa Mesa on his review.

Our Men's club Weekender outing.
Can't say enough about the Customer Service here. From the bag drop to the 19th hole they treat you great.
The Course - Tee boxes were not beat up and fairly level, the fairways are still semi-dormant, firm and running well. The rough was at times punishing, the bunkers were disappointing - more dirt than sand, hard pan at times, some were soft but most had small pebbles in them.

The greens were still recovering from aeration, they were firm and held only high soft landing shots. No wind today, compared to Friday round at Desert course. Another enjoyable day

The Course - Tee boxes were not beat up and fairly level, the fairways are still semi-dormant, firm and running well. The rough was at times punishing, lost one ball we could not find even with 3 others watching where it landed. the bunkers were disappointing - more dirt than sand, hard pan at times, some were soft but most had small pebbles in them.

The greens were still recovering from aeration, they were firm and held only high soft landing shots. Very windy conditions on this day - blowing in the 7-10 mph range, with gusts. Made for an interesting round, but I managed to score well.

Sorry for the delay in posting this review - life got in the way.
Played on 3/15 - 7:44 tee time, got out as scheduled. We ended up behind a 5some (2 carts, 1 walker). They ended up 1 to 1 1/2 holes behind by the 4th hole. We jumped ahead of them and finished in just over 4hrs. They finished at least 1/2 hr after us.

The course - knew that aeration was happening but we just wanted a quick 18 for fun n beers! all greens were punched and heavily sanded. at least 7 had temp greens, no distance given on how far from the original green we were hitting into. Made for some bad decisions on club selection. All the Red tees are being replaced so there were large dirt patches out there. The fairways were spotty, some ok, most had thin or no grass in some areas.

They are making a large investment in the facility but I would stay away for at least 2 months or more. We were charged the usual senior rate but should have been discounted rate. The beer was Cold - highlight of the day! :)

Keep it in the short stuff!

Played Saturday 12/5, 9AM tee time - Course was in great shape. Tee boxes were fairly level with some divots, some filled some not. Fairways were lush with some thin spots here and there but got nice rolls, again some divots filled some not. Bunkers had good sand, some were deep and hard to play out of for this amateur. Greens were lush, FAST, did I mention FAST!. Some ball marks. POP was 5+ hrs.

We had a 4some ahead of us, who were playing decent from forward tees, groups ahead of them were a bit on slow side. Had to wait on second shots about 50% of the time.

Customer service was great - from bag pickup on parking lot to starter. Decent breakfast, bit expensive but it is a Resort. Service was excellent. Starter was very friendly and informative, gave us a recommendation on which tee to play, marshal came around a couple of times but lot of players out there so I'm sure there was not much he could do to speed up play. Cart girl came around quite a few times. Weather was mild, cool morning that warmed up by the 3rd hole.

Played on Saturday 11/14, Creek and Oaks.
The course is in very good shape, but had a few faults. Tee boxes were OK, lush with some divots especially the par 3s, fairways were green with some brown areas, mostly where they were cut too short, rough was 2-3 in and very playable, the bunkers were thin and mostly dirt, greens were lush, fluffy, receptive, and too many had unfixed ball marks.

The faults - as mentioned, the ball marks on the greens, and bunkers not having enough sand. The Worst - POP was 5 1/2 hrs, we were behind a 4some playing from the blues, hit them fairly long, maybe 65% fairways hit, some they took a long time looking for balls. We had to wait on almost 90% of our shots, me being the short hitter would hit my drive or approach shot within 80 yds to see it they would pick up the pace, did not help. At times they left the cart 50-60 yds from the green and would putt out and run back to get it.

No marshal came around, being that it's a Resort they probably shy away from bothering the out of town clients. POP could easily been 4 1/2 to 4 3/4, had fun playing with my buddies but did not enjoy the round.

Played today - course was in good shape, although I have seen it better. Fairways were being mowed, so there was some clippings on them, but ball ran decent. Greens were mix of receptive/firm. Bunkers were OK but not soft sand. Played with the members as a guest, regular Tuesday outing, so it was enjoyable. Customer service is always great. One exception, 2 of our 4some had a cart problem on 17th tee, called for a replacement cart. we teed off, had the 2 elder gentlemen use our cart, me and my buddy walked to 17th green, teed off on 18, called for cart again. Finished the hole, they assured us someone coming. Took them over 20 min to finally pick them up. Only time we have had this experience. All in all still a good round.

Played our Golf Club's monthly tourney on Tues 10/17.
Course conditions were spotty at best. Tee boxes - uneven, many divots. Fairways - some lush areas, many thin or dirt only areas, ball ran well, many uneven lies, unsanded divots. Rough - also some green with thin/bald areas. Bunkers - had decent sand, but was damp during our round. Greens - seemed mushy, lot of thin/dirt only spots, don't think they have recovered from fungus damage (or whatever happened to them), a lot of ball marks from the groups in front of us. There was a ground crew member going around repairing ball marks (SMH), our 4some repaired as many as we could. Pin placements were set up for the WEB.com players, lol. Behind bunkers I can deal with, cup on crest of a ridge! formula for disaster for me, 4 3 putts, 1 4 putt. Our best putter also had a couple of 3 putts.

Don't know if there was another tourney group ahead of us but they were slow, at a couple of holes there would be 7 guys putting out, then split into two groups for next hole. Group ahead of us was a 3some, one guy was so slow that the other two would be on the green while he was still hitting approach shots (Yes Plural). Result was a 5.5 hr round. No Marshal at all. No cart girl.

Only positive note was that we always have fun,

Late post - Played Tues 10/13 8:08 tee time, got out by 8:10.
Course was in great shape, tee boxes were decent with some unfilled divots but not real bad. Fairways were lush (especially for being drought conditions) rolled real well with some nice lies, a few unfilled divots - Guys those those plastic bottles are to be used, No the grounds crew is not gonna follow you to fill them in, we filled in our share.

Rough was not extra long but it was hard finding the ball if it settled in and hard to hit out. greens were lush, held well hit shots, firm enough that low fliers rolled off, too many ball marks on some hole, I fixed at least 4 every hole - C'mon people!. The bunkers had decent sand.

This is the only course I have encountered so far this year that know how to set pins. Most places leave a mound or raised grass around the hole which causes lip outs, or stop 1-2 rolls short of going in. Here they took the time to tamp it down, great job ground crew. I passed this on to front desk and to GM who came over to visit us (personal friend of one of our 4some).

Customer service was great, marshals came around several timed to keep tabs on POP, we finished in just over 4 hrs, cart girl came around at least 4 times. $42 for seniors was a nice rate.

Keep it in the short stuff!
