Black Gold Golf Club recently re-turfed its driving range hitting area and half of its tee boxes (the ones now in use) with summer heat tolerant 328 Bermuda. Those areas, our greens and bunkers are in great shape as we head towards the end of summer. We are however experiencing less than ideal fairway and rough conditions as our "cold season" rye grass struggles with the near record summer heat. We do believe our experience warrants our rates, but we are electing to give each paid golfer through the end of summer a free sleeve of Nike Power Distance golf balls as a way of saying thank you for sticking with us when we are not at our admitted best.
