Played Los Lagos today. Costa Mesa is typically in the rotation of courses we play.
We ran a little late but the pro shop was accommodating. As usual, the guys in the pro shop are unfriendly and short with customers. Feels like we are an inconvenience in being there. Always seems that way.
3 groups on the first tee. No Marshall or starter. Everyone just fending for themselves. Every hole was a wait. Three groups on the 4th tee book and would have been 4 groups if we didn't take extra time on the 3rd green. Front nine took 3 hours and 12 mins. Approached the pro shop about a rain check/refund and they just laughed and provide sarcastic responses. We played 12 holes and left. We will not be going back anytime soon.
Greens we slow and bumpy. Bunker ls are hard and crusty. Fairways ok. Rough was decent. Horrible pace of play.
It's just not fun to play golf like that and not worth the time or cheap green fees.
Best to play elsewhere, or go to a movie, or a bar, or take the trash out, or pull weeds, or remove you finger nails, or...
