I played a twilight round here on Friday afternoon, July 29. This was my first time playing Westridge and I had a great time and will definitely be back. Overall the course was in fair/good condition (6.5/10) and the greens were in excellent condition (8/10). The greens were very true and rolling about an 8 or 9. The pace of play was perfect running at a 4.5 hour round.

The course layout is challenging and places a premium on hitting fairways and greens. That said, the fairways are wide enough and the greens are plenty large, but you do not want to be too errant or your ball will find the thick bush or a parallel fairway that is 50 feet below your fairway. If you need to practice your sidehill lie game this is a perfect course because most holes are built into a sloping hillside and you will have plenty of these lies, especially when in the rough.

Like the previous review, my only complaint is that carts are not allowed on the fairways of some holes. I often had to leave the cart to find my ball and check the distance and then walk back and forth to get the right club. Not really that big of a deal though.

Most of the par 5's are reachable for the long hitters and the par 3 are fairly short, but well protected by bunkers and lateral hazards. My favorite holes were #7 (par 3 over a canyon), #14 (risk/reward par 5 over a canyon), #16 (par 4 with a challening green surrounded by a moat of water), and #18 (beautiful, reachable par 5 with approach shot over a lake with waterfalls). For a twilight round in the $40 range, this is one of the best golf deals that I have seen lately.
