Temecula Creek Golf Course had some of the nicest people working for there- Pro Shop, Cart Girl- all the way down to the people working in the restaurant.

Golf wise we went Creek-Stonehouse. Creek is old school- tree lined, back to front greens and bunkers that can probably be extended since the breakout of technology and hot drivers. Everything is pretty much in front of you. Greens were in good shape. Played after rain so bunkers were clayish (expected).

Stonehouse is a whole different story. 7 out of 7 fairways are blind-with #9 being the most visible- but still you can not see where your ball ends up. I'm not a Ted Robinson hater-there are plenty of his courses I enjoy, but he blew it here. 7 blind tee shots???

If you play TC, and you are a descent handicap, play the Oaks/Creek combo. Stonehouse is extremely frustrating-stripping tee shots down where I'm aiming and ending up in the crap. No knocks on the condition- just the layout stinks. You will get a feel at the first hole (#1 takes driver out of your hand on a par 5). They need to hook up their carts with GPS so you can see what's going on here. You should not have to be looking at the scorecard pictures to know whats in front of you. It's not a good routing when every tee shot you look at you are wondering if you can hit driver.

Like I said- Kudos to the staff and condition of the golf course.
