Well worth the green fee. A narrow course for my game, but not overly so if you hit it straight. The greens rolled true and most were tiered in some fashion. The course was nice and open considering the qualifier for the Northern Trust Open was being played on the other 18. Only one drawback in my book; a 240 yard 3 par (300 from the tips). That hole was a bit much for me. Overall, I would recommend this course.
Course was in good winter condition. Rough is dormant and brown but the overall playability was more than adequate. Tee boxes were okay, but the greens rolled true and fairly fast. I wasn't in the fairways very often, but when I was there was a definite advantage to playing from the short grass. If you don't hit it straight bring plenty of balls. I really enjoyed the set-up. You play from hills to valleys, over ravines, and around trees, and the overall challenge is keeping the ball in play. As mentioned in previous posts the customer service is great; due to traffic I was running late for my tee time, but as soon as I got there they worked to get me off in a next available group and I was on the course in 20 minutes. My group played a 4 hour round (awesome). I will definitely go back!
Course is one where you get what you par for. The tee boxes and fairways are still very spotty. The greens, however, were nice and green and rolled true with very few few ball marks. The round was quick at 4 1/2 hours. As mentioned in previous reviews the course is nice and wide lay out with little trouble throughout.
Teed off on Saturday, February 23 at 8:15AM. With the recent rains the course had numerous wet spots and where the fairways were overseeded it was soggy. Overall, the fairways were blotchy and the rough very spotty. The greens for the most part did roll true, but played hard for the amount of rain received. This is a pretty long and open course so bring your big stick and grip and rip it. Water is present on most holes, but with the exception of a couple don't come into play. Although the course seemed crowded we only had to wait on the 3 par 9th hole. Got through the round in a little over four hours. Overall, with the on-line discount this course played to the price.
Teed off on the Shadow course on Saturday, February 16 at 11AM. This was my first time to play the course and from what I heard my group was fortunate that the winds were blowing at only 10 mph. For a Saturday I was surprised that we went out with no groups in front or behind us. The four hour round was awesome!!

The Shadow course is definately target golf. It had numerous blind tee shots which made this first timer somewhat uncomfortable. The yardage book helped but if there is time, a drive down the fairway to take a look would be beneficial, especially on 18! The greens are fast and adulating, but roll fairly true despite having an unusally large number of ball marks. Greens did seem receptive despite their firmness. The fairways were spotty and the yardage markers were also spotty. This did not overly detract from good drives in the fairway, however. Tee boxes were adequate and served their purpose.

Staff was cordial and helpful. As a reminder there is no snack bar at the turn so be sure and get what you need from the on course cart personnel. Booked a tee time on-line and paid $75 for this quality course which was well worth a four-hour round on a Saturday!!
