I've played Los Verdes a handful of times this summer and each time I become more and more upset with the slow play. I'm new to the game so I have fairly high tolerance for bad players, but its become almost laughable at times with 3 or 4 groups being backed up on the front 9 par 3's. The course is actually in pretty decent condition and the views are absolutely gorgeous. The layout is a little tight on space, where lots of parallel holes lead to more than a few people hitting it onto opposite holes and having to play from the other fairway. At times can be dangerous (I was hit last week, and my brother was this week) because there are a lot of poor players who slice the ball into your fairway without even yelling fore. I'll continue to go back because of the cheap price and high enjoyment, but if you're impatient stay away from here.

Played here in late May before the summer season really began in Palm Desert and thought the course was amazing. It has a sister course (Firecliff?) which is apparently much more difficult and full of bunkers and more water, but for the cheaper price and more relaxed round I'd pick Mountain View any day. Awesome layout with plenty of challenges and offers the ability to think your way around the course. Very nice carts with excellent GPS system. Well manicured bunkers and medium-fast greens that were receptive but tricky. Great customer service with a real country club feel. Terrific course that I plan to play again.
