I rode the blue tees solo on Saturday June 8th. I usually play this club every weekend. This is a municipal club (not private) with two 18 hole courses and an executive course. Also multiple practice greens and a driving range. Course was in good shape considering the season (hot summer and off season for tourists). We have had little to no rain in the past 2-3 weeks but course is holding up well. The tee boxes were in the best shape I have seen with little to no bare spots. Greens are another story. Greens have multiple burnouts and some greens have large areas of no grass. Fortunately I did not have to putt through these areas. Most are on the outside area of the green and due to pin placement were well away from the holes. Played in the afternoon so pace is fast with sparse players. I had two in front who I caught up to around the fifth but they picked up pace and then let me play through at the turn. Fairways are in good shape and rough is as well. In the afternoon there is no starter and no rangers so the course is yours. One guy manning the carts and the clubhouse closes at 5:30 but course is open until 7:30 or 8:00. Overall the British is a fun course to play with open fairways that allow for some errant tee shots but still play ball out of the rough. Lots of oak trees and palm trees and some fairways lined with tall grass where ball will be lost. Some holes have water on the sides but none really in play other than the par 3 fourth hole if you are playing from the blue tees where you will hit your tee shot over the water.
