Golf Course Reviews
Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Well, I am part of a yearly tournament that we play 18 times in 9 different courses, including Traditions and Cypress, both courses at Cypress wood Golf course (Its 32 people in this tournament). I am a 12 HDCP but we play with help's all the way to 36. The rough is long and thick, professional stile and it's impossible to find the ball if you are not in the fairway. The ISSUE we had was that as we were finishing up hole 9, one of the Marshalls came to us and said we had to skip hole 10 to get caught up. I told him that the 2 foursomes in from of us were 3 somes and the foursome behind us hadn't even tee off on the 9th hole. I really thought he was kidding as we were in the tournament and you just don't skip a hole... I follow to try to tee off on hole 10 and he came rushing in the cart in front of the tee box and started screaming to us saying that we had to skip the hole. I kept telling him that we were in a tournament and that we couldn't just skip a hole but he was so rude and upset that I told him that it was fine but I need it a full refund... We proceded to the trailer to get our refund and he call the "Manager", I think he was the person in charge because he was rude and defensive as well. He was not able to listen about the tournament and about the foursome behind us which was just teen off on the 9th hole. He proceded to call the "General Manager" by phone, who was not there and I don't think he liked the call on Saturday at 10am given the reaction from the manager in turn as he responded, "Yes sir, I wouldn't call you about this again". He proceeded to give us our refund and I told him that I couldn't understand how a golf course wouldn't care about losing customers been so disrespectful and make such a strange decision because the Marshall was rude and in a bad mood... But that's fine. I even told my father in law "Que situation tan estupida" which means what a stupid situation... And this " Shift manager" started fighting with me because he said he understands Spanish and that I shouldn't disrespect anyone in the club house (Trailer) to what I responded.... Yes, you don't understand anything because what I said was that this was a stupid situation.... Ok, long story short. I have never been treated this way in my 35 years playing golf and specially by staff that doesn't have a clue what they are doing... At the end, 20 minutes later we came out of the shack (trainer) and the foursome behind us which was in the tournament as well, were just finishing up hole 9.. Nice courses which I play a good 6-8 times per year but unfortunately I wouldn't be playing or recommending any longer. I know that my review doesn't make a difference for the golf course or people seen the review but I wanted to express my frustration on a situation badly handled.
