I wanted to like the course. It has a good design and a very cool natural layout. Unfortunately the maintenance in my opinion was subpar. At $77 a round it was definitely not worth it in its current condition. The fairway was non existent and the rough was weed infested. Until the maintenance is improved I probably will not return. Especially for the greens fees currently set, which I would be more than willing to pay if the course was in better condition.

I live a mile away but i avoid the course like the plague. It's slow, slow, slow. They even have a link on their site to here, http://www.popeofslope.com/paceofplay/index.html, but yet they don't follow those rules. One more thing it's SLOW!

The course is in descent shape BUT GEEZ slow ass play. Let me ask every course in southern california this question. On the PGA tour the tee times are typically 11 minutes apart. Why is it that in these courses they are 7 or 8 minutes apart?
