Very dissappointed. It did only cost $25, but still was dissapointed. Pace was slow, sod was re-layed everywhere and was done POORLY. Seems like everyone playing there just does not care to repair their divots in the greens either.

I play a different course every week and this course is in the worst shape I have seen locally. I wonder what the other greenskeepers know that Turkey Creeks greenskeeper doesn't know, because he is definitely struggling.

This was a decent course. Not as good as the hype though. Definitely in the TEAL BEND family, as the first thing I noticed was that the clubhouse is identical to Teal Bend's clubhouse. I was excited to be going to a course with GPS on the carts, until half way through my round as I realized that most of the cart paths were roped off to prevent carts from entering the fairways. Why have GPS on the carts if the carts can't go to your ball.......The sixth hole was extremely frustrating due to the greenskeeper with his two-way radio cranked up like he was at a football game, talking with someone the whole time we were in the fairway. After our approach shots to the green and dodging the sprinklers that just turned on "automatically" while we were heading back to our carts, we asked the greenskeeper if he would turn down his radio while we were playing. He replied, sure thing - whatever! We looked at each other and headed for the green. What happened next was the same greenskeeper approached the green while my buddy was putting - yes, talking on his radio like we weren't there. I was addressing my putt, when the sprinklers around the green, again "automatically" turned on. I stopped, looked at him and firmly asked........could you turn the radio DOWN so we can play and could you keep the sprinklers off............he grunted something........I called the pro shop and complained.........five minutes later, while heading to our tee shots on the next hole, some guy came out and asked if we had a problem. I replied yes and explained, only to get the response - do you want the grass to die and then have to play on dirt?

I'll tell you what - I understand grass needs watering, but why does it have to happen while you are being charged good money to play there. And should I have to listen to some illegal alien on a radio that you could hear at a football game while I am trying to focus on my shot - if so, I can guarentee that I will NOT be slapping down my greenbacks to play there.........yes I would rather play in Scottland (ie. the do you want to play on dirt comment), where there is at least consideration for it's paying guests. Hell, I'd rather pay to play at Bing Malony with airplanes flying 200-400 feet over my head.

I just recently played this course twice, June 15th and then again on July 7th. Both times I was extremely pleased. The greens are in great shape, the fairways are great if you are hitting straight and hit the fairway, tee boxes are level. I saw ONE - ONE bare spot in the fairway, on the back side......It seems that this course has had some bad press regarding pace of play, however both times I played it, I was done within 4 1/2 hours with a lunch stop. The second time I was there the marshall actually remarked to us that we were behind pace, although we were comfortably playing right behind the group in front and was not holding up the group behind us. Other than this remark from the marshall, we did not feel rushed by the group behind us, nor were we waiting for the group in front. Both rounds were very enjoyable, and this from a guy who last year was hit in the head here by a crushing tee shot from the group behind us, that hit me on the green on hole 10. If your game is on, this could be a course to challenge yourself, but bring some extra ammunition - you may need it if you're not hitting the ball straight.
