I was out here today in RSM to pick up the grandkids from school so I stopped at the Tijeras range. The tees were on grass today, up near the front of the top tier. Hitting down the range off that elevated bench really makes you feel like you are hitting the ball good! LOL!
The mat areas that were back near the sidewalk were gone. Does anyone know if they are removing them completely, or just took them out to renovate the area, or what?
Also, the hitting areas between the dividers were very torn up on the right side of each station. I don't know if they were using yesterday's locations, or if they got a lot of use this morning.
If the course would adjust the dividers sidedways 1/2 station around early afternoon, later-day users would also get good grass to hit from.
Also, if you aren't a VCreek Card holder, using a credit card at the ball machine gives few options. The smallest basket you can get is "medium", for $9 (50 balls). That's a lot to pay for a quick warmup stop! I'm reluctant to come out here again for those prices and options.
