Walked the blue tees at Coyote Creek this morning with a friend, and enjoyed the round quite a bit. We played as a two between 2 other twosomes, and we were probably the first few groups out so pace was excellent, just about 3:25 to play 18. The couple in front of us were in a cart and must have been playing polo, we didn't see them after they walked off of the 1st green and the group behind played right about at our pace, they were almost always there but not pushing us. Conditions were pretty good all the way around, with the exception being that they were putting an insane amount of water on the course it seemed. I can see them wanting to protect the place as its really hot for us up here today, and only going to get worse for the rest of the week. But, it was a bit weird to have your ball get some incredibly hard, huge bounces in some spots, and then almost plug with your next shot. My 90 yard wedge into #2 landed on the front 3rd of the green with a visible splash.

Greens did roll pretty smooth, and on the quick side. With all the water they were definitely holding shots very well. Fairways and rough were good, just a bit inconsistent with regard to water. Tee boxes seemed a bit better than normal here, although the par 3s had a lot of divot damage. I didn't find any bunkers so I can't comment on their condition. Friendly service in the shop and at the turn as always. For the member rate of $39 to walk on a beautiful warm day it was definitely worth it.

Walked the blue tees this morning at Coyote Creek with a friend and had a really nice time. Greens are very good right now, holding shots pretty well and rolling pretty true, at a medium pace. Fairways are in rough shape at the moment, some of them will give you a great lie, but there's quite a few dead spots out there. Unfortunately a good ball of the tee can find some of those spots on a few holes. Rough is pretty good, long in some places but usually not too tough. We didn't find any sand, so I can't really comment on the bunkers. Tee boxes remain a bit inconsistent, not always flat, and some of the short holes have quite a bit of divot damage. Customer service in the shop and restaurant after the round was excellent as always. I had a really good time, but I think due to the issues we found in a few of the fairways I'd try to play their other course here for the next few weeks. Still worth it in my opinion.

Walked the blue tees on Coyote Creek yesterday with a couple of good friends and really enjoyed it. With the heat and dry weather, the course is playing very firm and fast. Greens rolled nicely, and only hold well struck shots. When coming in from the rough, I got a lot more release than expected. Fairways and rough are both in good shape and pleasant to hit from. The rough isn't too difficult to get out of, but long enough to make you work a bit harder. I didn't find any bunkers, but they all look much improved from the last time I played this course. Tee boxes can still be a bit uneven, but the divot damage wasn't too bad. Customer service in the pro shop and restaurant was excellent.

Played Coyote yesterday (Saturday, 9/21/19) and had a decent time, although I must say I'm a little bit disappointed in the conditions. I've played their other course a lot this year, and have found it to be in great shape so I was surprised to see this course already starting to feel like winter golf. Greens were a little bit bumpy, but not too bad. They were super soft, a good iron shot would leave quite the crater and any shot would hold. Fairways and tee boxes were definitely a bit scruffier than I would have liked to see, and the 1 bunker I found was awful. Rough is long and lush, if you got lucky and the ball sat up it was easy to play from, but if it sat down you would have your work cut out for you. I'm happy I played it, but I'll probably choose their other course until spring comes around.

Took a day off work today and played Willows Run Coyote Creek for the first time in a while, and had a very pleasant morning. I arrived around 7:00 am or so, and started by hitting a small bucket at the range. Usually I don't do that, but it did seem to help me get my swing in sync. The range is mats here like just about everywhere in the northwest right now but they did put in new ones a few months ago, so they aren't too bad to hit off of. I also like their chipping and putting greens, which is where I usually get all of my warm up done.

The course itself was in pretty good shape. Greens are just like the other course here, quicker than the munis nearby but not out of control and rolling very true. It was very pleasant to not see many unrepaired ball marks, and they hold well struck shots nicely. Fairways are ok, a few (#2 and #16 come to mind) aren't so great, but the rest of them are pretty good. The rough looked as though it had been cut pretty recently, and wasn't too much of a penalty. Very healthy throughout, and the ball really didn't sit down much. Tee boxes are reasonable. I found one greenside bunker that was very wet and compact, and not too pleasant play out of. Like the other course here, I feel that the bunkers could use some TLC.

I walked as a single, and played alone behind a two some for the first 4 holes, and then a single riding in a cart caught me on the 5th tee. She and I finished the round together at a very nice pace, probably about 3:45 not waiting on a single shot until our approach to the 18th green. I don't remember exactly what I paid, but with the member discount it was somewhere around $35 for the round and the warm up bucket. Even without that discount it was more than worth it. Definitely recommended.

Walked on yesterday morning (Saturday, 8/12/17) as a single, was grouped with a three some and teed off at 6:30. Played at a very nice pace, finishing the round in just under four hours. Greens were pretty good, they looked like they would be a bit bumpy but actually rolled decently. Medium to quick pace, and holding solidly struck shots. Fairways weren't very consistent, there were lots of dry spots like you would expect with the lack of rain recently, but some places were actually very muddy and wet. In general I had no trouble playing from them and always had a pretty good lie. Rough was very lush, quite long and definitely penalizing. They are definitely giving the course plenty of water. I found the greenside bunker short of #8, and it was quite thin. Seeing as I've played here a lot, I was ready for that as I've never seen that bunker have a decent amount of sand. Tee boxes remain the weakest part of the course, very rarely are they level. While there are some shortcomings with the place, it was a decent experience.

We teed off today, Saturday, 4/29/2017, and our tee time 11:06 am. We were delayed 30 min. due to a men's club event we were not informed of. We had inquired as to the condition of the course prior to making the tee time and paying. We were flat out lied to. This course, as I am sure Eagle's Talon, the connected Willows Run course, is a mess: soggy, muddy, fairways the majority of which had deep mud ruts and heavy grass clippings (4-5 inches deep!), so that the "fairway" was totally obscured. We hit the fairways, but could not find our balls due to the grass clippings and deep mud ruts. The Marshall even said, "You'll be fine if you stay in the fairways"...WHAT fairways?? There were soggy, but clear fairways on only about 4 of the 18 holes. Yes, I know we have had lots of rain this winter, but tell the truth before charging $48.00, including tax. The greens are spongy and bumpy. Weeds growing on several mounds beside tee boxes, as if no one cares for this course. Willows Run used to be a beautiful course, but has obviously gone downhill and is not working on drainage, greens keeping, or even easy landscaping like pulling weeds. So sorry to see what was once a beautiful course in this condition!

Teed off in the first group out this morning about 6:00, walking with 3 other gentlemen. I found the course to be in pretty good shape tee to green, with good fairways and rough. Didn't find any bunkers, and tee boxes were the usual at Willows, not quite level enough. Usually this course's best feature is the greens, and today they were a little bit disappointing. They rolled well enough, but many of the greens had either dead patches or what looked like a fungus growing. Admittedly they putted a little better than they looked, but they really did look awful. They greenskeeper had done his best to set the pins on the healthiest parts of the greens it seemed, which did help a lot. Getting the early bird rate of around $40 to walk helped as well. I don't think I'd feel too pleased with spending more than that here right now.

Played Coyote Creek this morning, and found conditions to be just a little bit better than expected. Greens were pretty good, not too many bumps and rolling at a medium speed. Fairways are kind of sketchy on this course in the winter, and overall I think they were actually pretty good. The usual places were bad, but in general I actually got a little more roll than expected. The rough was reasonable, and tee boxes are never very good here. I found one bunker, and it was pretty wet, and not very pleasant to play from. Pace was awesome, as I don't think I saw more than 3 other players all day, and never anyone within 2 holes of my position. It was pretty nice to get in a little extra practice around all of the greens.
