This model is a few years old (2010). As driver technology hasn't changed much in as many years, outside of adaptability, this one keeps up with the rest. The black finish and classic wood design welcomes an exemplary level of aggression and ability to shape shots. The 445 cc head is very controllable and face thickness varies to keep in compliance with minimizing trampoline effect. The stock Fubuki 64 MTS shaft with its mid/high flex point keeps the ball low and able to fight the wind. All technology being equal to modern stats, what sets the MP-630 apart is its feel. This ball seems most comparable to Pro-V1x and Srixon's XV. It putts softer than both these balls, but not as soft as the original Pro V1, giving more of a soft thud that a ting I feel from Pro V1x and Srixon's XV. Iron shots come off of the club soft and provide plenty of stopping power and control around the greens. Distance feels about the same as any high end spinning tour ball.
