After owning the Garmin S1 and selling it to another family member, I decided to buy a S3 for myself. First of all, it is a very nice looking digital watch, and it looks good on and off the golf course. I opted to buy it in black.

I found the watch easy enough to use, although clearing it out of lock mode is a pain once in a while. I enjoyed the new features such as setting the pin position and layup distances. Battery life seems to be a little better than the S1, but you are not getting more two rounds between charges.

Overall, if you are looking to pick up a GPS golf watch, I would recommend spending the money on this one. » Close
