Played 12/27 morning; it's a very nice layout with generous fairways and enough bunkering to make it challenging. The greens were in great shape; running about 9 - 9.5 and rolling true. The fairways and rough were also in good shape. GPS would have helped; they gave us a yardage book which was very helpful. Definitely one of the better mid-priced courses in the desert area.

Tee boxes and greens are in excellent shape. The fairway, on the other hand is HORRIBLE. It was very thin, very spotty, and in some places, just dirt and weed. I get it that that in winter they're putting their eggs in to the greens and tees, but the fairway was just terrible. My elbow started hurting from hitting off the hardpan all day.

Played 18 holes on 11/23 morning and 13 in the afternoon ($10 replay special). Hadn't played here in few years and didn't know what to expect with some recent reviews being positive and others negative. The course layout and greens was decent. However, the fairways are REALLY BAD! This is a real nice track and I hope whatever remediation they are doing improves the condition soon. Before then, I would avoid it.

The greens are pretty much healed from aeration; a bit on the slow side. Fairways are also nice; mostly recovered from overseeding. Played Wed around 12:30 and finished in just over 4 hours. The course is in good shape.

Haven't played here in years and had forgotten how crazy packed this place can get. I had a tee time for 6:22 (the official sunrise for the day was around 7:00 a.m.) thinking the place would be empty. By 6:15, in darkness - no exaggeration - the first tee had a fivesome already out and two groups waiting on the first tee. They were sending people on the 10th hole as well (split tees since there was a shotgun @ 1:00) and there was a fivesome teeing off. UNBELIEVABLE. You couldn't see anything until around 6:35 (barely visible). Granted, these fivesomes played FAST, especially considering that most of them were seniors with pull carts. I talked to some folks and they told me this is quite the norm for county courses.

The staff (starter, marshall, restaurant cook, etc.) were friendly and the golfers really kept up the pace. That said, with so many fivesomes out everywhere, the course just looked and felt like it was overloaded.

Half the greens are punched; the other half was REALLY soft. Pin placements were literally 4-5 fee from the edge on some greens.

Not a bad course, but was a bit too crazy to enjoy this time around.

Played on Sat, 5/1. The course is in pretty good shape. The greens were rolling true. The outside rough, however, was extremely long - instant lost ball if you hit it there. The pace of play was good; teed of at 2:45 and finished in 4.5 hours. The best thing about this course is that it's player friendly; it's challenging but very forgiving. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

This place is a dump. Fairways were in terrible condition; literally hitting from dry dirt from the middle of the fairway. I have never played on a course with worse fairways than this course. The tee boxes were equally atrocious; couldn't even stick my tee in all the way on many of the tee boxes. To top it off, the pro shop messed up on our tee time and charged us more than what was promised when the tee time was made.

This is singularly the worst managed, worst maintained course I've played in. (For the record, this was the first course I ever played golf at, more than 21 years ago. I have played on this track many times over the years. Yesterday was the first time in a couple of years playing there, and I was really disappointed at how poorly the course was managed.) Save your money and time and go play somewhere else.

Played Friday morning (7/17); it was 7:30, but was already running 15 minutes behind. However, pace of play was good (little over 4 hours). Greens were in great shape; teeboxes and fairways, less so. Fairways were a bit thin and bare, but as previous reviewer mentioned, not bad for this time of year, especially with the water restrictions. A very good value if you get on American Golf's email list.

Great layout - good variety of holes. Greens are challenging. This is one of my favorite courses; however, course conditions were slightly below expectations the last time out. Pace of play can be slow at times.

Played Sunday afternoon for $29 (great value); greens were in great shape; fairways and teeboxes less so (still decent). Layout is generous - no out of bounds; just laterals. Elevation changes are nice. Overall, a good course for an average player like myself (a better player might find it a bit short/less challenging). A great value. A bit disappointed with the new club house; felt more like a giant trailer. Great customer service.

A great layout in great condition and a good price. However, you can't ignore: 1) the smell; 2) the fact that it's right next to a dairy farm and the cows are staring at you on some holes; 3) the nasty flies. If you don't mind the smell, the cows, and the flies, this course is a gem. Otherwise, you might want to pass on this course.

A great course! As noted earlier, the greens are beat up because people just don't fix their ball marks! It's a shame... Otherwise, a wonderful course for the price.
