Played here for the first time today and I have to say that the course lived up to its fine reputation. The course was in fantastic shape with the only exception being the greens were a tad bumpy, but that could've been due to the late tee time (12:22). The course was very busy today; POP was about 4:45 and we had to wait at just about every tee box, but we still managed to finish. The course played fast and firm with lush tightly cut green fairways. The rough was lush, but very short. I was only in one bunker and the sand was fine. The 18th hole may be one of my favorite finishing holes in the LA/IE area. Very intimidating off the tee with water a long the entire right side of the hole and if the wind is blowing a par could very much feel like a birdie. I would highly recommend this course and I can't wait to return.

Played two rounds today at both courses. Both tracks are in great condition. Fairways, rough, and greens are in excellent condition. The course was playing very fast and firm today (May have been to due the 20 mph consistent wind). Greens were lightning quick and got faster and firmer as the day and wind got longer and faster. Overall it's always a great time here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Course was in very good shape. Fairways, rough, and tee boxes are very lush right now. However, the fairways and tee boxes are a tad shaggy right now. The greens were very bumby and soft. There aren't very many ball marks, but the greens seem like they just haven't been rolled in a while. The bunkers were a little low on sand, but the course played great. Don't know if there is a better layout in the IE than Oak Quarry. The course designers did an amazing job with this piece of property.

Played here for the first time and I must say it is an absolutely amazing course. The layout is great with many challenges (mostly coming from the many sandtraps). Couldn't imagine the course being in any better shape than it was today. I can't say one negative thing about the course conditions. The views that you get on this course are absolutely stunning, especially those holes that are right up against the Santa Rosa Mountains. If you are looking for a challenging but fair course to play that's in great condition with breathtaking views, this is the course to play and if you book through golfnow, you can find really great deals.

This is a really fun course (easy, but fun). Every hole seems different and requires different types of shots. I especially love the finishing hole. Its a great hole to settle some wagers. It seems like every time I have played this course, par never wins the hole. Sometimes birdie doesn't even win the hole. The conditions of the course are always decent (and for $25 weekend walking rate its well worth the green fee). The greens were a little softer, slower, and bumpier than normal. The pace of play always seems to be good here (about a 4:15 POP), especially when compared to the Long Beach area courses. Its definitely worth the 30 minute drive from LB.

Having played Skylinks many times, today I was absolutely distraught over the condition of the greens. If a course is going to be charging $73 to ride, the course should be in better shape. I have always loved skylinks, but I don't think I will be back any time soon. The course was in good shape outside of the greens, but because the greens were in such terrible shape, it was hard to really enjoy the round. My suggestion, avoid this course until they decide to lower the price....definitely not worth the green fee.

Just finished an annual trip to Pala Mesa with a group of 12. The stay and play package here is great and well worth the money. The condition of the course was very good. Greens were great (smooth and soft) along with the fairways. The only part of the course that needed some work were the tee boxes. Especially on the par 3's, the tee boxes had some divot damage and were uneven. Overall, the course was great and play was fantastic.
