Played with Queen of Wedgewood on 1/25. Course was in good shape POP 3 1/2 hrs.

Tee boxes were level with no divots and fairways were good shape , rough varied between 1 - 4 inches. Bunkers were consistent hole to hole.

Greens were rolling smoothly ( 12 - 14 ) some ball marks.

Today was very windy and on some holes it was swirling making it hard to club properly.

Great track if you get chance to play here , old school layout and makes you hit every shot in your bag.

Played with Queen of WedgeWoods, Gunnz and Clutch on 1/18. Tee time was 11:20 but did not tee off till 11:48. Tourney was in front of us and P.o.P. was slow finished in dark at 5:10.

The overall condition of the course is very poor it seems like the county run courses are having competition to see who can have the worst condition course.

Tee boxes were some of the worst I have seen with too many unrepaired/not filled in divots.

Fairways were either hardpan or muddy depending on where you were on the course.

The best green was the practice putting green the ones on the course were very inconsistent with many un repaired ball marks. Fix you own ball marks! speed varied from 4 to 8.

I would not recommend playing here anytime soon it was not worth the $49.95.

Played on 1//12/15 with Queen of WedgeWood. Tee boxes in very poor shape many divots not filled. many of the fairways were very muddy and roped off or dead with hard pan on some holes. rough was muddy or dead. Greens were in decent shape with some un-repaired ball marks but rolled smoothly. Speed of the greens ran 5 -7.

I would not play here until the course has had time heal.

Starters are first rate.

Played on 1/5/15 with Queen Wedge & Woods. Tee boxes level and in good shape with fairways thin or dead on some holes and others in very good shape. Rough was 1 - 3 inches with bunkers in good shape with plenty of sand. The greens were rolling 10.5 - 11.5 smooth with no un-repaired ball mark's. I wish I could play every round on these greens they are amazing.

Saw the G.M. with head greens keeper going over each hole on back nine working to the course back to it's legendary condition.

This track will always be in my top five.

Played with Gunnz & Pirate on 11/27 all tee boxes pushed all the way back to the point that some were not in the defined tee box area. That give us boxes that were crowned & un-level.

Fairways were thin but very playable with some holes that had bare spots and others that were muddy.

Greens were in good shape with speed between 9 - 10. Please fix your ball mark and at least one other when you are on the greens.

Rough was 1" - 2" or bare.

Bunkers are dirt so they are hard as rock with 1/2" of dust as sand.

This short course allows you to hit every club in the bag and you have to use your imagination to score low.

I hope that they will upgrade to bunkers using real sand.

Played on 11/2 with Queen of Wedges, Gunnz and Clutch. Being my first time here was impressed with customer service , top shelf clubhouse and practice facility.

Cart path only was in place which made us take longer to play also it being Gunnz and my first time playing here made for 5 hour round.

Great track with great views on most of the tee boxes and greens of Santa Clarita Valley.

The fairways healing from maintenance with some holes still needing some work and new sod being needed on others.

All tees boxes in great shape , level with almost no divot damage.

Greens were in good to very good shape with average speed running 10 to 11.

There are couple of holes on back nine that were poorly designed and they are the back to back par 5's. The rest of the course is great design and fits the terrain very well.

If you get chance to play here do it. I know that I will come back again.

Please fill in you divots and repair your ball mark + 1 on the greens.

Our weekly Saturday morning group has been informed that refurbishment program that started last week (10/14 )of both front and back nines will take 8 weeks to complete. There will be temporary greens and lots of GUR. Don't waste your time or money here until they have things back in shape. Let's hope that they will also address the irrigation system during this project.

Played on 7/27/14. The staff at MB is top shelf I wish I could say the same for the condition of the course. From tee boxes to fairways to the putting surfaces this course is in poor condition. Being $$$$$ course it was truly disappointing.

The tee boxes looked like that they had not moved the markers for several days and no one was filling their divots. The fairways were thin and dead in many places on each hole with many un-repaired divots. The bunkers were very hard and uneven and had thin layer of sand covering muddy sand which made it very hard to hit good shot.

The putting greens were inconsistent and rolling about 3-5 there were dead spots on them and many of them had sod recently replaced. I left the course feeling that a great track has been mistreated and abused.

I guess we picked the wrong time of year to play. The course looked like it was be prepped for over seeding. The greens were very slow, fairways were fair to good condition. I was very disappointed with the sand traps , there was no sand and hitting out of them was like hitting off Texas hardpan. The course was challenging and fun , good job on the layout. The pro shop and starter were 1st rate. I was also disappointed that the grill was closed , after a round in 100+ degrees was looking forward to a cold one in air condition grill but nothing was available at the course. We ended up at local burger joint for our cold one and some great chili cheese fries.

played on 9.16.12 first rate from time I stepped out of my car till I walked in the grill after the round. The course was in great condition for this time of the year in the desert. The pro shop was first rate and the starter was very helpful with some great tips. The greens could have be a tad faster for my taste but this a resort course so the need to make it playable for all levels. If you are in the area make sure to put it on your list of " must play courses".

Played 8/24/12 teed off at 9 am course was busy but we played in just under 3 1/2 hours. The tee boxes were mostly level but looks like no one who plays there can fill their divots on the par 3's. The management company should spend $ on refurbishing the irrigation system, there were spots on the fairways and rough that were dead and other spots that were flooded. These were the slowest greens that I have played this year somewhere between 0 - 2 on the stimp. The course has a quirky but fun layout and having the trains stop at the course is added bonus. The pro shop and grill is were Micke Grove shined with first rate service at both counters.

Played 8/12 on the Lakes course and teed off around 10:15. This is my new favorite course in Ventura Co. after playing it only once. The greens were fast and consistent with very few divots and they rolled true. The fairways were in good to very good condition. I was in the bunkers twice during the round , one was compacted and very wet , the other was dry and easily hit forty yard shot on the green. Great layout with the changes in elevations and the course fits the land very well. The pace of play was slow and we finished in just over 5 hours but it is Sunday golf in So Ca so that is to be expected. Every hole was fun to play and standing on a couple of the tee boxes there were some great views of the course and surrounding areas. The only hole that I did not like was the 18th , it was the old 18th hole when there was only one course at RR which was a little bit of a let down after playing 17 really great holes too bad they did not reconfigure it to fit the rest of the Lakes course. Can't wait to get back there and play it again.
