Played this course end of June. it was extremely hot. teed off at 1 pm and found the cart lady on the first green telling me it was last call??? The course is obviously a sixties or early seventies resort layout. Many parallel fairways your could spray it big if you needed to. Fairways were tough to differentiate from the rough. Greens were slow and grainy. With all the courses in the area there really is no reason to play this unless you are a complete beginner and are staying at the resort.

Played course on 7/28. First let me say the price was incredibly low. $13. Secondly, it was empty. The course was in overall great condition especially for the price. Tees were a little long, fairways a little shaggy. greens were fantastic. The course is a very good layout with a ton of variety. I truly liked it.

now the downside. Very limited services. Very few water jugs on course no cart services. Snack bar poorly manned. It is do it yourself golf at best. if going be prepared bring water as there isn't much on the course.

Be prepared for wind. It came on all of a sudden and the game became comical. Everything was effect by the wind, Putts included. Played with a guy who slices and on one hole literally aim 10+ yards to the left to get ball in the fairway. We stopped keeping score after 7 holes.

If I knew there would be no wind I would play again.

Played to day 3/10. Tee times backed up 15 minutes due to time change ???? Staff though was very friendly and even offered a free continental breakfast. Teed off the back nine first and was sent there with 2 groups on the tee box. POP was 5 hours, but it did feel quicker believe it or not.

For the course, Tee boxes were real shaggy. Had to flatten out grass before putting my peg into the ground. I soon found fairways were the same, long and furry. Bunkers had some standing water in them which I found to be odd since it last rained on Friday. The greens however were real good, smooth and challenging. The layout is great but it needs to be in better shape.

After playing here I can tell you I will be back. They are working hard on making this place better. I have to give a lot of credit for that. Today would have been much better is they only cut the grass. Even a warning before teeing off about the grass being high and why. That is least they could do to make the experience better.

Played on 2/24. I promised I would play this course again after the first time ( which I wasn't overly impressed.) I have to say I am glad I did. Staff was great from. As soon as I drove up to the starter I could tell I was in for a whole different experience. We were politely introduced to our 4th. The range was still a little beaten up but I was there just to warm up so it suited me fine. Before I talk about the course Sunday had a 25-35 mph wind. We decided just to have fun no match or games. as an example I hit 185 yd drivers into the wind and 360 yard drivers downhill down wind. Now for the course, I loved it. conditions were great smooth greens, nice tight fairway. If I were to knock it other than the range I would say the sand had to be a little more consistent, but I usually feel I am not supposed to be there anyway so I give it a pass. Played our round in 4:15 and it was wonderful. If you get a chance this course should be played and I highly recommend it.

Played 2/18. Played this course for the first time. Was thoroughly impressed. Staff was great in checking in. Man behind counter gave out a few tips on green reading. Had a fantastic breakfast burrito and went out to range. This driving range was immaculate. I hardly wanted to take a divot. Was called to the first tee and I could tell this place was run efficiently. Signs out stating you must make the turn in 2 hours right from the beginning. Furthermore they allow walking and this is a great course to walk too, relatively flat and tee boxes close to greens. Although, we waited between shots we made the turn in 2 hours. Fairways were firm and lush. great condition. Greens were very good, quick and rolled true. Stay below the hole. chipping areas green side were nicely maintained and provided a good option to be creative. I can't wait to go back. Absolutely worth the trip to get there.

great overall track and anyone who hasn't played it should play it. Greens are tough and they can lead to dumb pin positions. Must be smart on every tee shot as you run out of room in areas. fairways are going over a change so there are many gur areas. great time but give yourself a 5 hour round

Dec 31, Always fun to play here and today no exception. Good track big greens so choose accordingly your approach club. Many , many undulations. Especially if you are on the wrong side of the pin. Course is a fair test of golf with, wind, elevation changes, and big moving greens. We played after rains so greens were a little soft. We had some soggy fairways too but nothing to effect overall experience. pace of play was pretty bad though, We had an 11:50 tee time and didn't go off until 12:15. Rangers were on the course but didn't say much. Our gps told us we were 21 minutes behind pace of play and one ranger told us that wasn't too bad. We were only on the 4th hole!!!! All that said I would go back but I would book a time closer to 10:30 so i knew I could finish and actually see the 18th green.

dec 30, Dramatic views if you have never been. Range isn't much and not much turf on it. it did it's job though. Most disappointing was there was a 15 minute delay in teeing off due to play. This was a good 5 plus hour round of golf and it was cold also. The first 2 holes took 52 minutes to play with 3 groups on the second tee at one point. Overall the course is nice. There are many elevation changes and it is windy. Must think your way around the course. I don't care for the multi colored greens. It appears like different grasses or different stages of dormant grass is coming through. Would like to play it in the summer though. I had to drive over an hour to get there so not sure I would do that again.

Dec 29, Rained but you wouldn't know it by the run our balls had in the fairway and on greens. These greens soaking wet were faster than others I have played recently. Overall good experience. Staff is great got us out early. Only suggestion if you are playing on a rainy day or a day where it rained before hand call ahead. They closed the back nine due to flooding.

Played 12/28. Course firm and fast. Greens border on being too fast. Watch your approach shots and make sure you give yourself an uphill put. I would play this course everyday if i could. Only real issue was pace of play. ranger was out there but besides taking notes you really saw no improvement throughout the day. Give yourself plenty of time here. Otherwise great track and great conditions.

Nice course. Layout has some quirky holes like 15, where you tee off to a blind fairway over a wash area and trees. Rough was bad. However pace of play was worse. No Marshall. Starter sent out multiple groups of 2's in a row. Thank god we were smarter and teamed with the group ahead. The course though does need some work. It could be great.

Played 9/16. I always Enjoy Tijeras. The course offers great variety of holes. The staff is great and food is excellent. The greens ran smooth and I teed off around Midday. Fairways were hairy. Some areas you couldn't tell between fairway and 1st cut. I am sure they just were guarding against the heat ( hopefully). They have a few bunkers notably the right greenside bunker on 11 that is a mud pit. So bad our group normally plays it as ground under repair. Overall I would recommend any one to play their as it is a lot of fun.
