What a beautiful golf course! Secluded, very quiet, and in excellent condition. Tough, target golf. Fast, smooth greens. Everything was in great shape.

Bring plenty of balls. There's not much room for error. Very enjoyable experience.

Drying out nicely, though there are still plenty of mushy spots. They cut the greens, but they're still pretty slow. Sand is better, though still pretty compacted, but that's to be expected. 2 tee boxes were closed off for repair/rebuilding, so that's good... looked like they were close to being ready. Fairways are in nice shape, and they were cutting down the rough today.

I enjoy this course. It makes you think, yet gives you an opportunity to save yourself if you're spraying it off the tee a little. Definitely worth the price of admission.

This was my first time on Woodcreek, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a fun layout. Interesting, not overly hard, but makes you think about where you're trying to put the ball.

It's been raining for months straight, and yesterday was the first clear, sunny day, so everybody and their brother was out to play, so it was pretty slow, though it only took an hour to get on as a single.

Of course, the rain has left everything soggy, and some spots were very mushy, but overall, it was pretty playable. The greens were a little like shag carpet, and putted really slow, but they've nearly recovered from the punching a couple weeks ago. Fairways were nice if they weren't wet, but you sure didn't get any roll off the tee. Rough was not bad, though the weeds were pretty long and penal if you got that far off the fairway. Sand was hard and compacted, but I'm sure they'll have it raked out in a day or two. Tees were pretty good conditionwise, but there are a few that are pretty crowned, so a flat stance was tough.

I'll definitely be back soon, Woodcreek is a very nice little muni course.

Played 4/7. Can you say "wet"? Dang this rain. The greens are in excellent shape... too bad aeration is coming up. Fairways are pretty good, though there a plenty of soggy to underwater spots. The bunkers are fine if they've worked on them since the last rain, if not, they can have water in them, or have the sand completely washed out, making them unplayable. Tees are good. Rough is good, and beyond the rough, the long grass is getting long and very penal again, as usual in the spring.

Ok, so pretty much same as last time. Everything is getting close to really nice shape, except the $%^&#*$ CARTS!

We started out and got through the front nine before the low battery light came on. We called for a new one that arrived in the fairway on 11. The new cart died on 14. We called, and no one ever came. 2 of us walked in from there. Granted, the starter told us that new carts (with upgraded GPS, too!) are coming in 3 weeks or so, but man, they should have done a little better keeping track of which carts were holding a charge. Once I can understand, it happens. But 2 carts?

Anyway, Darkhorse is great. It kicks my butt everytime.

Yep, Darkhorse is getting into fine shape. The greens were zippy and relatively smooth, though pretty spiked up by the time we got around in the afternoon. Fairways are pretty good, though I wasn't in very many of them today. Sand was pretty good, considering all the rain lately, and the rough was thick, but recently cut down, which was good... it was still really tough to get out of.

A word of caution on the tee boxes... check the card for the recommended tee based on your handicap. I'd been playing the Blue tees and decided to try the Copper yesterday. The difference is only a couple hundred yards, but sheesh, it's a whole different and much more difficult course. You'll have way more fun if you don't go too far back.

Well, it's February and it's WET! Sheesh, enough already!

The course is looking good, but mooshy in a lot of places. The greens are remarkably good... not super fast, but not as slow as you'd think they'd be for all the rain.

Good stuff.

Same as below... the greens are excellent. Everything else is pretty much winter conditions with some soggy spots from all the rain.

The greens are great right now. They're a little soft from the rain of course, but they hold great, and are fast and smooth. Besides that, the course is pretty rough right now. Inconsistant and brown fairways and rough, and the tee boxes are pretty thin to muddy. There were plenty of wet spots around the course, but that's totally to be expected with the amount of rain we've had lately.

Regardless of the less than stellar conditions, this is a really fun and very challenging course.

Holy cow, what a cool course! Visually one of the most insteresting courses I've ever played. Great layout, pretty great conditions, and great upscale vibe. We really enjoyed our round.

The greens were quick, but held nicely. The fairways were great, the tee boxes were a little thin here and there, and the sand was pretty stiff. Good pace of play even during the holidays.

Overall, highly recommended.

Wet, wet, wet. Well, it has been raining for a week. The greens were mighty slow (I stopped a chip from the top tier to the bottom pin on number 5 right next to the hole... an impossibility on most days), and there were quite a few soggy spots. Not too bad though considering.

Played with a nice group of guys... good fun.

This great course is definitely in winter mode... the fairways are pretty brown, but play just fine. There are some thin spots here and there, but not too bad. The greens are exceptional... fast, consistant, and freakin' tough. Sand was good, tee boxes were good, rough was just fine. You really have to be on the money from 100 and in to score at this course. Only my second time out, but this one is sure to be one of my favorites.

Today we played at 8:40, and it was cold cold cold. Probably mid to high 30s, and might have gotten to 45 by the time we finished at 1. It was cloudy, so frost wasn't a problem, but man, was it chilly. Regardless, fun was had by all.

Highly recommended course.
