Got a chance to play here on 8/31, sorry for the late review.... First off this place is exactly what you expect. Course is beautiful and in good shape even with cuts on water for summer. Play challenging with narrow fairways at times and very was greens. I was a little worried about the private country club rules and high brow antics but was treated warm and welcomed. Everyone playing seemed happy and relaxed. Pace of play mid week was fantastic and we were able to sneak on and play about 11 holes of the south course after we finished our afternoon round. Our member treated us to a great dinner in the clubhouse which had a great family atmosphere. Can't wait to play again. Snack shack makes a great John Daly!

9/20 - I have been playing Casta Del Sol the last few tuesdays with a buddy after work. I have been pleasantly surprised by the condition of this course. This place recieves a ton of pressure but remains fairly nice. Greens are look gorgeous but play somewhat soft and slow. We play in the afternoons starting around 5:30PM and usually finish about 9 to 12 holes. One thing you need to look out for is errant balls and "course cutters," people tend to jump around hole to hole and play in out of order. The one real negative I have with this course is the older gentleman that works as the starter. He is very rude and short... I saw him turn around a foursome who booked online and had proof. His response was "not my problem and we are booked." Besides that this is a great place to place after work. Great prices and a nice challenging place to hone your skills mid week.
