Played Nov 19. I'm writing this review because this course has improved since last year. Everything is better except the traps. At the current rates it is well worth the price. The only problem I see is there seems to be no maintenance going on. Some of the tee boxes have divots everywhere and none filled. Not a good sign.

Played Oct 8. Another resort casino course, 27 holes. We played Lakes and Mesa. Course was recently over seeded, the rough was very deep and thick, almost unplayable. Fairways and greens in very good shape. Nice layout, not really desert but not many trees either. On side of hill overlooking river valley. Great to see balloons drifting over Albuquerque while playing.

Played Oct 6. Storm kept us inside till there was a break later in the day. Chose Ladera in case we couldn't finish we wouldn't have lost too much. City course in typical muni shape. Not a very interesting layout but long.

Played Oct 4. Course north of Santa Fe, quite a ways from Albuquerque. Storm came in so we only finished 9 holes. Found the course to be very unusual. What a unique property, sort of like a mini badlands. Architect was Robert Baxter Spann, I'm not familiar with him but I will be looking for more of his courses. An outstanding layout, some of the holes I will never forget. Desert course with great views, was in excellent shape. Because of storm didn't get to play some of the more famous courses in NM. But next time here will definitively make the trip back here.

Played Oct 3. Played after watching balloons again. Course about 20 minutes north of Albuquerque. Next to another course that looks to be part of resort casino. Don't know if Twin Warriors is also part of resort. Course is desert type with a lot of elevation change. Lots of desert bushes and trees to define holes. Front nine through ravines and over hills. Back nine goes into red rock cliffs. Overall really enjoyed playing here, highly recommend. Course was in excellent shape.

Played Oct 2. Spent the morning at Balloon Fiesta. Amazing to watch over 300 hot air balloon preparations and and take off. They do this every year at this time, a must see. Played here in the afternoon. Course north of town, part of resort casino on reservation. Desert course with lots of elevation change. Seemed very new, not a lot of vegetation along holes, very sparse. Good views of mountains. Well laid out design. Course was in very good shape.

Played Oct 1. In town for Balloon Fiesta and golf. Arrived in time to get in 18. This course was closest to Balloon Fiesta. A city course, lots of trees in good shape. Just over seeded so the rough was very high, and with all the fall leaves we lost several balls. Greens were medium speed and rolled well. Some elevation change, well designed lay out. Overall, a very good course worth playing.

Played 7-31. Had business in Mesa and wanted to get in a quick round, not crowded and finished in 3 hours. Old Air Force base course, very flat. First played here when they added 9 holes. The 9's have been reversed since my last visit. Shame because the original 18th is a very good finishing hole. Tee boxes are being reseeded in places, more needs to be done. Greens were very bad. Some puts were air borne many times. Fairways and rough were good, though. Course in better shape in winter, but very crowded and very slow then. Greens are bermuda and have lots of grain. Good course to play in summer because of all the trees and no houses to block the wind. Worth the price.

Played May 1. Always meant to play here. Was originally supposed to be a links course with few trees and very thick rough. Now its more like most non desert courses. Course goes up and down the same wash as Camelback's Indian Bend course which is just SE of it. Has several nice holes and a few that feel squeezed in. Greens putted good but didn't hold to well. The traps were packed, with some wet and a couple full of water, trap along #3 was full of range balls. Fairways and rough were in good shape. Seems to be a popular course, will be back.

Played April 10. Been meaning to play this course for a long time. Kind of disappointed, didn't live up to expectation. On the front nine you play to a wash, then on the side of a hill, then back across the wash. No houses, but lots of desert and narrow fairways with no bailout around greens. Back nine in houses with narrow fairways with no bailout around greens. As you can probably tell, I don't like narrow fairways and no runoff around greens. Course in good shape, greens didn't hold, see above. Spend a little more and play Boulders.

Played April 9. Haven't played here in awhile. Customer service doesn't bowl you over like it used to. It was annoying how they would chase you down wanting to get you anything. Of course, it was a lot more expensive then. Course not in as good of shape, but still decent. I've always found the layout uninspired, a shame for a golf only course, non subdivision. The Legacy next door is more interesting.

Played April 2. First time playing here. Have been to Sedona many times and played the courses there often. Cornville is next to Cottonwood, both about 15 minutes from Sedona. The course overlooks the Verde River and Cottonwood, the greens will tend towards there. The course had been recently over seeded so the fairways were long with little roll or I would have rated it higher. I'm sure the fairways will be fine soon, this is the time of year all courses in northern Arizona do maintenance. Best to call first. The greens were very good, some off the best I've played, very unusual for a subdivision course. In fact I thought it was a very good layout with lots of elevation change. About half the cost of Sedona courses.
