Played on this monday morning with 3 really great people who were very nice and really made the round fun. i went up as a walkon and within 5 min, I was called to play. The course though short on the scorecard, played long because most of the holes had uphill approaches and with the wind against most shots, club selection is difficult. The course conditions were just like any other city courses. choppy fairways and bumpy greens. However, this is a great course to play because of its difficulty. A walk in the park? Not quite....

Oh Boy!!!
I drove from Northridge which took 2 hours all the way to this golf course and was a little disappointed by the playing conditions.
The fairways were choppy and was rather thin. Bunkers in bad shape but the tee boxes were ok. The greens were in good shape, very responsive and there were not many unfixed ball marks around. I think the course played rather long from the tips because it was wet and with the weather starting to get gloomy, it is best to wait for spring and summer to play this course again. The layout is nice and challenging. The difficulty comes from the tee shots. Lakes come into play on some holes, and the par three 13th which has a narrow green, over water is a great hole. 3 par fives in a row on the back nine makes for birdie opportunities but if you are not careful, it might well turn its back on you. Nice challenging course for the mid to low handicappers.

I played 6 holes with 1 hour of light left for 8 dollars here. the course conditions were ok. Greens were still bumpy, fairways were fine and tee boxes were level. Very happy with the staff who allowed my friend and I to play for only 8 dollars. Course conditions definitely were much better than before.

Man, this golf course is in super shape. A few months ago, it had dry fairways, now, its lush and beautiful. The greens are perfect, very fast and true. Sand quality was great. Difficulty of this golf course is the driving part. If you can keep your drives on the fairways 60 percent of the time, a good score should be in stored. Used a 2 for 1 coupon from red dot that made today's round really enjoyable.

I played a golf extra tournament today and felt the course was in pretty decent shape. It was my first time playing San Clemente and noticed that the views were very nice, especially the par 3s. The conditions were ok, greens a little bumpy, fairways choppy and the many bare spots around the golf course. For its normal rate at 30 dollars, I think the golf course is in good shape. A nice short course with wide fairways, should lead to using drivers more often and lower scores.

I do not understand why the ratings for the course was so low. It deserves much more credit. Yeah, the fairways were a little choppy, the tee boxes were not level for all of them and the greens did not really accept shots well, but it was an overall enjoyable golf round. I think the price for the course was ok. Certainly, no reason for the course to be rated less than 5.

I hate this golf course because it is in bad condition. Fore can be heard all around the course because of hackers as well as holes being too close to each other. I paid 27.50 due to being a member at AGPA and a two for one coupon. Would never pay the full rate at this golf course. Play Oak Creek or strawberry farms down the road. This course sucks.

What a golf course!!!!!
Played here for the first time from the Players Tees. Very spectacular course. The atmosphere is very rural because the course has many big oak trees. Not overly difficult, just a great test of golf. The fairways were aerated and were thin in some areas. Give it a few more weeks to be lush. Greens were jaw-dropping. Rolled smooth and true. Could be better than the greens of Robinson Ranch. I was 2 under after 4 holes but struggled and finished with an 81. The rates now are at 100 dollars which is a little pricey but for a TPC course, I think it is ok. Oh yeah, the range and practice area are super!! Free range balls lying around on the range that can be used anytime!!!
Had a great experience!!!

WOW!!!!! What a golf course!!!!
Played the Champions for the first time and was really delighted by its charm. Peaceful surroundings and great atmosphere. Winds were rather strong which makes it a little tough. Conditions are excellent. Only thing is that the bunkers have very hard sand. If they were changed, the course is prestine. Great value at 59 on weekdays and 84 on weekends. Drove 1h 40 min from my place and did not regret the experience. Planning to play the Legends course soon.

Tried playing the golf course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by its conditions and layout. For 21 bucks, it is one of the best value in LA County. This golf course beats Rancho Park anytime because the course has much better greens and the pace is really good about 4.5 - 5 hours.
Definitely a golf course to play because of its value.

This course reminds me of Ojai Valley and Empire Lakes mixed together. An overall pearl of a golf course because of its fine conditions and playability. The wind made it tough for club selections especially for the par 3s. Plan to play here and realise that any score in the 80s is a good score. Hats off to anyone who can break 80 on this tester.

Played today and I think this golf course is pretty nice. Very challenging off the tee especially the last few holes and the up and down hills make it difficult to judge distances. I think yardage books are needed to make first time outings more worth it. If not, more than once is needed to be able to play this golf course well. The course is in decent shape, however, Lost Canyons is much much better. I rather play Lost Canyons 4 times a month than play Moorpark 8 times a month.
