Played Mon 6/27, 9am tee time, the last of the Seattle tour. This is a fun low key course. Wide fairways and fescue lining many of the holes. Rolling dunes, some trees... Quite a few blind drives, but fair... I spent a bit of time driving up to see the landing area, after I almost hit a perfect drive into the blind canyon on #2. Long hard par 3s. Greens rolling smooth, fast 10, slow 11. Course in great shape... I would play here all of the time.

Played Sunday 6/26, 9 am time. A Sierra style course, lots of trees and hills. This would fit right in the Tahoe area. A really fun course that had lots of interesting holes. The starter told us to stay on the right side of pretty much every hole, and he was right. Greens in great shape, running about a fast 10, slow 11. They play a lot of NCAA events here, and it's a stern test worthy of that competition. 18 is a driveable 280 yd, downhill, with the wind behind our back... over water on the right, bail on the Left... of course I went for it and missed, then hit a second into the front bunker. That was fun. If I lived here, I would make this a go to golf course.

Played Sat 6/25, 9am tee time. The center piece of the Seattle golf trip. And what a course it is. It's a wierd setup, as you have to shuttle down from the clubhouse to the 1st tee. The course is right on the Sound. If you look towards the course, it's a big Old Mac vibe, and then when you look out of the water, you get a big Edgewood Lake Tahoe vibe. The course itself is more like Old Mac, no trees. Rolling wide fairways. Lots of bunkers. Caddy was great. He said the course was struggling for a few years and they got it back to good shape recently. I tend to agree. Greens smooth and true, rolling about a fast 10, slow 11. I would play here anytime. Some people say it's better than Whistling, I disagree, and compare it to Old Mac... Nonetheless, a great course and a great time.

Played Fri 6/24, 5 hr round. Visually stunning course overlooking the city. However, we walked off the course pretty beat up. Greens in good shape, a slow 10. Course overall in really good shape. We found too many of the holes a bit gimmicky. Lots of elevation changes, seemed like more uphill than down. I went straight from the airport and arrived 4 hrs before the tee time, and they were very accomodating. Nice locker room. Restaurant didn't open until 11:30 though. Always have a good time, but I'm not itching to come back.

Played Sun 619, Father's Day, 8:50 tee time, 5 hr round. Pleasant day with a one club wind most of the day. This course is NARROW. Tree lined holes, and it felt like at least 12 of the 14 par4/5 demanded extreme accuracy off the tee. This seems to be a popular course, with a lot of beginners... but this is not a course I would bring a beginner to. The rating/slope from the white is 69/120, but the narrowness, and the greens, along with the water features, seems to make it play harder than that. Greens were excellent: true, smooth, a quick 10/slow 11, but sloped enough to give people trouble. Some real narrow greens, some really big greens... this is not an easy course that the rating suggests. Front 9 was 3 hrs, back 9 2 hrs. If this was my local course, I'd play here and like it.

Played in a shotgun tourney Sat 8am, 5 hr round... HOT day. course in great shape. Greens are decent muni shape, running a fast 9, so slow. But ran pretty true. The rest of the course very playable. We'll see how it holds up in the summer heat, but for now, the course is in as good a shape as I've seen it.

Played Sunday 6/5, 8 am shotgun, 4:45 round. This is my favorite SoCal course (though TP south might have taken that spot). They are doing maintenance, so the ratings are not super accurate. Overall it's in really good shape. I know they punch 2 greens at a time, and then they split a hole or 2 to make 18 holes on 2 temp greens. We caught the perfect timing where all 18 holes were open. 2 of the greens 4 and 5 I think... were recently punched and were sandy/bumpy. The rest of the greens were in various stages of healing or not touched.. and it was pretty consistent. Running a quick 10 on the stimp. Rolled true. Then they are taking out and redoing ALL of their rough... so 2 holes were cart path only. And they ask you not to hit off anything visibily resodded. A few of the fairways had spots of resod as well. But I was pleased to see the course was not soggy/wet like it had been the last 2 times I played (a while ago)... And overall, the maintenance did not destroy the experience. Though that might not be the case when playing with temps. Had a great time and I still love this course.

Played Sat 6/4, 7:30 shotgun. 5:15 round. First time playing here after a few times on the north... and I now understand the allure of Torrey Pines. It's a fantastic layout, that goes around 2 big inlet canyons that frame the course...and it's visually stunning. Most of the holes are pretty fantastic... a few snoozers, and 18 is certainly a letdown compared to the rest of the course. It is way longer than the North, from the greens, and unlike the previous poster that played the same morning, I'm saying there was a 1-2 club wind by 9am. the 450 yd par 4 12th, dead into the wind, uphill... brutal. Greens were smooth and fast, running a solid 11. Bunkers were very nice and consistent. I'm glad I finally knocked this off my list.

Played Fri 6/3, 11am tee time. Beautiful day, mild wind, sun out. 4:45 round. Greens punched 2 weeks ago, and they look like they were punched last week. Slow and sticky, bumpy. Rest of the course in decent shape. Front 9 a bit pedestrian. Back 9 shows its potential. Overall a fun day.

Played here Wed 3/24, after my round at the Dunes. 13 hole par 3. Amazing layout. fun. They'll allow however many you want to play with... 8somes... whatever. As a 2 some, we played through 2 6 somes, and everyone smiling while we did it. 80 min to play. Pretty hilly... holes range from 60 yds to 140 uphill... Greens about a 10 and smooth. Great views of the Pac ocean and Bandon dunes back 9. I'll use this space to promote Shorty's.. a free 9holer at the practice center open thur-Sun... didn't get there. And the punchbowl: a 36 hole putting course... wacky and fun.. .and they serve drinks.

Played Thurs 3/25, 10:10 tee time, 4:45 round. Walking only, we took a caddy. Btw, caddy was money with the yardages... I would've misclubbed all week long. I love this course. Spyglass on steroids. My #2 on the resort. Greens were slow and sandy, but smooth. a slow 10. course runs through the forest and you don't see the ocean on more than 3 holes from afar. I think it gets the short shrift because of that. This is a quality course. Other than #14, which I think is the worst hole on the resort, but has one of the best views on the resort.. weird, right? but other than that, it has 17 awesome holes. The worst weather day, overcast most of the day, with no more than a 2 club wind... but beautiful by bandon standards. I had a great time.

Played thurs 2/24, 11:30 time, 4 hr rd. walking only, we used a caddy. Just 2 of us, so it was a leisurely round. Our caddy showed us a couple of 'keiser tees' on the par 3s... so that was fun.
the par 3 #6 or 7... we played a tee elevated about 20 ft from the regular green. Greens the best of the resort courses. slow 11 and smooth. this has always been my favorite on the resort, and it still is. 18 interesting holes, half on the coast. The signature hole #16 has to be a top 10 hole in the country. Nice sunny day, with a bit of chill, but short sleeve weather, and no more than a club of wind all round. Had a great time.
