Played here 12/30/17. Sad to say but this place has really gone downhill since new management company took over. Seems like they have focused on restaurant exterior and have neglected actual course. Clubhouse is depressing with little to no merchandise available. Range balls were PATHETIC (DIMPLELESS @$12 per bucket). Thin fairways with many bare spots make it frustrating to play. I understand it is winter but it was almost as bad a few months ago. No consistency at all with tee boxes-many bare spots and most unlevel. Sand traps and greens were pretty good. Customer service in pro shop/restaurant was very good. Used to be my favorite LA county course but it appears a mistake was made awarding this place to current management company. Will definitely wait to come back.

First time back in a long while on 11/12/17. I have always enjoyed this course but I was extremely disappointed in course conditions today. Many bare spots in fairways and just off greens. Hard pan areas all over the golf course that appear to be as a result of long going neglect. Sand traps were hit and miss with some being almost perfect and others being like playing on concrete. Staff was courteous but I can't stress how much this place has slipped since my last visit about a year ago.

After reading the past few positive reviews of this course I decided to give it a try today. Arrived at the course at 6:45 am for our 7:35 am tee time and we were the only car in the lot. I should have known it was gonna be a long day. Honestly, I don't know what the past reviewers were thinking when they described the fairways as being anything other than TERRIBLE! 25% grass coverage with the rest being bare dirt. Most fairway bunkers are terrible but the greenside ones I was in were ok. Tee boxes and greens were the only green grass on the course. Greens were a touch on the slow side but rolled well. Customer service in the pro shop was great. Apparently the course in under US Govt control and any improvements that were being done have been halted as the course will soon be up for auction. Course conditions led to a a depressing round of golf. Spend your money elsewhere.

booked a last minute tee time this morning for $30 on golfnow. After reading previous reviews I was a little hesitant but I figured for the price I would give it a shot. Customer service was good in the pro shop and even the cart guy downstairs was ok after a cold start. As for the course, the greens started off soggy but after they dried they rolled pretty well. Fairways were hit or miss but ok. Rough was inconsistent with a few bare spots. Traps were average but every one of them had footprints in them. Tee boxes are getting worked on so they were pretty bad but I won't hold that against them. POP was ok as we finished in just over 4 hours. Fair value for the money I paid today

Played here on 10/2/14 for a great rate of $25. I knew when I made the time that greens were punched about 10 days ago but they actually putted quite well. A touch slow but putts held their line. Sand traps were the best I have seen in quite a while. Nice, soft and fluffy. Fairways were ok with a few dry spots. Tee boxes were all getting worked on so I will reserve judgement on them. POP was just under 4 hours today and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be coming back

Played here in a tournament on 9/20. I have always been a huge fan of this course but last week was the worst I have ever seen this place. Greens were horrible and had some kind of fungus which made them slow and very bumpy. Fairways had many patches of just bare dirt. Very disappointed in current conditions so I won't be back for a while.

Wow is all I can say about this place right now. Fairways, greens, tee boxes, traps in great condition. Played this course multiple times over the past 6 years and it has never been better. Only complaint was the guys in the pro shop were a little rude. If you are coming to Vegas do yourself a favor and visit this place

Played here 8/11 for an excellent rate on $38 off their website. Went out as a foursome at 6:15am and finished in just over four hours. Could have been much quicker but two in our group are slow players. As for the course conditions, besides being wet heavily watered overnight everything else was near perfect. My only complaint was that the greens were a little too soft for my liking but they putted well. Customer service was great and, as always, the scenery in the clubhouse was very nice. Don't know if I can find a better value right now than Yucaipa.

Played course 8/10/12. As usual terrible customer service in the clubhouse. It was kind of funny to watch the two guys working the counter turn on each other in front of 20 guys patiently waiting to pay and get to the tee. This confusion caused a huge mess on the first tee and my group ended up going out almost 30 minutes late. As for the course-the greens (excluding #3) rolled ok but a little slow. Traps were great as were the fairways. Rough was spotty. Don't know if I will return after being treated as poorly we were this morning in clubhouse.

Played here 7/11/12 during a family trip to Phoenix. I was a little hesitant to play here based on the negative reviews I read about the course. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Fairways, tees and traps were in excellent condition. Greens need another week or two to recover from aerification but still rolled well. I played 4 different courses during the trip (Wildfire Palmer, Superstition Springs, TPC Stadium and McDowell) and this was easily the best maintained of them all. McDowell Mountain is definitely be seeing me again.

Played here 3/9/12. Excellent customer service and the greens and most greenside bunkers were in excellent. Unfortunately the fairways and most of the other waste area bunkers/some fairway bunkers were in poor shape. Most fairways had a large amount of GUR areas or bare dirt covering at least 20% of the fairways. I will come back for the greens and great customer service but something needs to be done about the fairways.

Played here 2/20/12. What has happened to this place??? Greens were in the worst condition I have ever seen them in with many bare spots. It was like putting through a mine field on many of the holes. Tee boxes were super thin and mushy. Traps looked good but had top sand only. Tough to recommend right now.
