Got out to Woodley for the first time in a few months this past weekend, man what a treat. So sad to know that this course will be gone in a few years. My friends and I have been coming here for the last 4 years, growing and learning as golfers along the way. Many memories here, many great holes, many fun tournaments with friends.

Fairways lush and cut, greens rolling nicely, roughs and fringes sculpted perfectly... I swear I have never seen this course look as good as it does right now. The tee boxes are still pretty terrible, but it's Woodley, so you know what you're getting. And for $27 at 1pm on a weekend, you can't do much better. If you're somehow lucky enough to find a tee time, make your way out to Van Nuys and play a round at Woodley. It's such a treat, and a great ego booster for any golfer looking to break 80.

This is my friend group's all-time favorite course in the general LA area. So close, yet just far enough that you feel isolated. I just wish it was easier to book a tee time. 4 weeks in advance with an upcharge + mandatory payment ahead of time is tough. Wish it was easier to just call and book.

Aside from that though, I've never seen Rustic look this lush and beautiful. Consistent coverage across all fairways, fringes in immaculate shape, roughs could use a trim but still solid. The tee boxes on some of the par 3s are borderline awful, but i don't really mind it with the green you end up at. Overall, always a pleasure to play at this course. We teed off at 12:40 and managed to finish by 5:00, just as the sun was setting. No drink cart anywhere which was a bummer for a lovely Saturday, but that's to be expected these days.

Drove out to Upland for a 7:20am tee time a little over a week ago, Dec. 9th. Played in a foursome of friends. Beautiful sunny day. POP 4.5 hours.

This was our first time at Upland Hills GC, and I'm not sure we will ever be back. Not to say the course was unpleasant, because that wasn't the case. Aside from some uneven tee boxes, Upland has a fun design, solid coverage, and big greens -- but the PRICE. holy cow I can't get behind the price of this course. You're telling me that it costs the same amount to play here as it does Rustic Canyon?? That's insane to me. The value is just not there. I would say at most this course should be is $60, not $100. Not to mention that 15 out of 18 holes are lined on both sides by residential homes with little-to-no wiggle room.

Overall if you live nearby and have the money to splurge, go for it. Upland can be a fun course on a weekend. If you live in LA though, and would rather have value for your dollar, I'd recommend almost any other course in the area.

Got out for an early tee time this morning, ended up hitting off the first tee twenty minutes past our tee time. Not the best start. Inside they had one person working the register and there was a line of up to 8 people once I checked in. Somehow though, we ended up finishing the round in less than 3.5 hours POP, which is pretty astonishing, especially for this course.

Coverage was decent, lots of divots on the greens that nobody seems to fix (nice etiquette douchbags in front of us) but the course is doing the best it can. I feel like this course gets a lot of hate on this site but it's a really decent outing every time, fun to just try to get GIR. Wish it was about $10 cheaper for how short it is, but it's LA. Better than being $10 more than what it is, lol.

Tee boxes on the other hand need a lot of work. Incerdibly uneven and tough to find a good lie. The greens rolled really quick and there were more than a handful of invisible breaks. Honestly pretty tough pin placements so kudos to the greenskeepers for keeping things interesting!

A good morning with some friends. One of the only places in LA that you can still get a tee time thanks to everyone and their bots. Really frustrating. But wonderful views!
