Played Westlake 5/7/03. I just joined the Men's club, so I play in their Monthly, Weekly tournaments. For a Public Executive course, they keep it in nice condition. The Greens are not too fast so I believe the Putts are more real. As far as condition of the course, I would say pretty darn good. There are some weak spots and maybe a couple of Tee Boxes that are a little beat up, but overall, pretty good. It's a great golf course to test your shorter irons.

A nice short course that is fairly open. Noise from the 101 freeway detracts from what would otherwise be a nice experience. Usually wide open during the weekdays, weekends are a little crowded. Nice driving range with the practice balls in excellent condition. Some water in play on this course.

I went to play on a Sunday about a month ago and nobody was waiting to tee off. (I was shocked too.) I was a single and the starter kid said they don't let singles play by themselves. I was in disbelief and proceeded to putt some balls. 15 minutes later a foursome tees off and I get called in to play. I took a pass and went elsewhere. Poor service in my opinion for the price you pay to play a short, lack-luster course.
