played green tree for the second time in the last three months, in my first visit I purchased a players card, I was told that I would be getting a $19 green fee with this card and I had to try it to believe it, this card was not a gimmick I payed $19. I have been playing golf for over 20 years and I have to go back 20 years to remember the last time I payed $19 with a card. I'm unemployed so every little helps my friends and I had a good time, the staff informed us that the tees were wet because the tees were seeded, this was true but it really did not affect my play. The greens were at a decent speed not too fast but not too slow either, the fairways were lush, the bunkers were decent, the food good, the clubhouse was clean and we got on time despite being busy. I have played many courses that were twice or three times more expensive but green tree is good value for my dollar. I am going to play green tree every chance I get.

Played 8-27-11. Had some time so went for a round. Again found the course in bad shape. Greens were soft so held well but a bit slow for desert greens. The bunkers were in good shape. The rest was bad. Tee boxes with no grass. Large areas in the fairways that were dead. Stuck behind a 5some. Played front 9 in about an hour, the rest of the round took 3. Talked with the mgr. who said they are trying to fix these problems and hope to be in better shape in a couple weeks.With the economy as is they want to accommodate everyone so a 5some means 5 more golfers out there. Always used to enjoy this course and hope to see the improvements next time we play. We will try again I promise.

I have played green tree twice. The course is in good shape for being in the high desert. the greens dry out in the afternoon. This makes them much faster, but they are in good shape. The blues tee box are level but, a third are in bad shape. The fairways are in good shape. No gopher on the course. This being in the high desert the roughs very but are playable. The course has some elevation which I love. I bought their advantage card and seven rounds for $140. So 8 rounds for 17.50 a round any time after 9am. Great price! Both times I played single fellow golfs let me play through. I played under 3 hours each time.

Course is definitely being over watered. Standing water in rough, fairways and bunkers. Greens were extremely soggy in some areas and pretty wet all day, even in the afternoon in 95° heat. Tee boxes were thin and browning. Same goes for the fairways. Still enjoyable but take it easy on the water. Course was definitely no where near as good as a couple months ago.

The course has changed a lot since the last time I played here definitely for the better. It has been about 2 years since my last time here. Tee boxes were good, a little unlevel at times and a little shaggy. Fairways were good, very green but a little soft and shaggy as well. Rough along the edge of the fairways was in great shape and easy to hit out of. If your more than 15 yards off the fairway it gets a little rocky or just dirt. The greens were amazing, Very green, no ball marks, a lot quicker than I remembered and stuck shots very well. The layout of this course is fun, there are a few doglegs, elevation changes on many holes. Wind was blowing all day in between around 5-15mph and made some holes difficult but wasn't too bad. Hole 18 was redesigned and looks and plays much better now. And last but not least I had not seen the new clubhouse before today and they did a fantastic job with designing it and customer service was good too. We played for $25 on golfnow at 8am easter moring which is a hell of a price and I will definitely be back.

Played Green Tree on Sunday(4-3) and saw quite a bit of improvement in the condition of the course from what I reported late last year. The greens were plugged last week and are slightly bumpy and slow which is to be expected. Fairways and rough have greened up from the winter and the course is green and lush. Traps were OK but a few need to be worked on. Overall a nice day on an improving course.

Played Veterans Day. Cold and windy day.
The Good: Priced right and course sells a $39 card that drops your rate to 19 bucks for a year. Teeboxes look good, fairways and rough are greened enough.

Played Veterans Day. Cold and windy day.
The Good: Priced right and course sells a $39 card that drops your rate to 19 bucks for a year. Teeboxes look good, fairways and rough are greened enough.
The Bad: greens are slow and unpredictably bumpy. They don't seem to accept well struck irons shots or pitches well either. Course has some rough spots on fairway. Caught some plastic splinters because they leave half broken rakes out for you to use in the bunkers-come on now. Not ready to serve anything, even coffee in the morning before tee off. Food is mediocre.
Verdict: Good value if you are willing to accept this muni's shortcomings. I'd still play here over Apple Valley (boring) or Ashwood (too short)
