Early out Sunday 10/6 following a two-some as we were given the option to go 2/2 vs 4.
The course is in good shape and playing nicely. Overall and consistent through the green hole to hole. Overall hopefully my rating totals 6.75 to 7.1+ area. Played the white tees and should have moved forward to gold for better scoring/closer approach shots.
The routing is mountain golf at lower elevation.
White tees get a lot of play the smaller boxes especially the shaded ones a bit thin. All level.
Most every hole had some area staked and roped either for repair or to keep carts routed away. Fairways good for the most part, but not 100% play it down everywhere.
Bunkers ok but not great. Inconsistent .
Greens were in great shape and tough today. Fast and consistent cut fresh and fully healed from aeration. The dome shaped ones were tough to hold, and downhill putts a challenge to lag putt. Not having a sharp chipping game and off with the flat stick made par mostly impossible.
Still fun, recommend.
Cold beer and ordered breakfast burrito on 9th tee. Got 2-1 unexpected special picking up at turn.

Fully healed from recent aeration, greens healthy and rolling on the slow side as expected.
Some temporary tee boxes to level and grow the normal ones on a few holes.
Bunkers sand is settling and some are damp in the morning.
Rough is long enough to lose distance and 50/50 chance of a good lie to escape well.
Fun and fast as usual. Beer cold, grill closed which was unusual. Good home/mex cooking.
Saw a bev cart for the first time coming from maintenance garage, and it was near CH at turn empty. Never knew they had one playing here for years.
Looking forward to faster greens nextime:)

Out for an early walk Sunday warm sunny autumn like conditions.
Greens are fully healed from 9/9 aeration rolling smooth a bit slow = get-able imo
Through the green good growth, with some crabgrass patches in the fairway and some wet areas from being well watered. One embedded ball near the green, and a drop from another wet area right of #8 30 yds out. Which is actually good because the rest of the areas benefit.
Grassy lateral marked areas like left of 9 near driving range have been knocked down of long grasses. I didn't need to escape from today, but could have.
Easy walk and had 5 pars to start (4 one putts; 1 GIR) then an bogey triple double 6-8 put any personal scoring records out of play. Chipped in for a 3 on the 11th the only par 4 on the inward 9.

Mid-day on a moderate heat summer day for 9 holes of play.
Easy check-in and just a few minutes late. The group in front of us didn't raise the clear signal flag on the 1st hole so we had a little extra spacing to start before we caught up.
Greens rolling well holding the high wedge shots. Well kept respect the downhillers. I made a few long ones so extra star rating.
Fairways are fast and dry with run out. Mostly green a few brown areas and a couple gur wet areas. As expected.
Bunkers good. I was in the front one on 9 and it was machined. Easy out.
Family owned and operated. Good service, cold beer and fun.
Parred the signature hole par 3 4th. Martin made one foot putt on 8 for his first career birdie

Played Sunday in summer heat wave course conditions (high 98 temp) with a noon tee time.
100% sun and light breeze for a few holes on the back. I arrived early and there was more than an hour of open tee times. POP was at our own choosing. Alex and I joined by MattP and his friend Z from Mammoth making the trek to this out of the way resort course. Set-up for dual GK cup matches for mpisarski01.
80 miles to Copperopolis from GB all on the back roads or small CA highways. No shoulders in the rural areas. Tight roads helped me keep my drives in the generous fairways today?!
Using a Golf Moose voucher with the weekend restriction after 12.
Course in summer watering condition. Fairways perfect in some areas, wet in a few low spots and brown on the bumps and crests. Couple areas marked GUR through the green.
Greens were all in good shape rolling smooth and overall a bit slow. No large tiers or undulations, and I recall three of us putted from the same general area, near the hole the balls missed the edges with different directions of break. Subtle according to style of stroke? Fun. Not fun the bunkers variable from hard pack to thin to mud. One I need to drop entangled in the exposed under layer to a mucky bottom. Need some luv.
The rough wasn't too long well kept. Landing areas on the outskirts the long dry grass was cut down. Anything with water nearby had high thick grass and was where I lost two balls.
The par 3's are interesting with some length and are from elevated tee boxes. The 4 and 5's you are playing up to a many with the approach shot. All good holes bunkers provide sight and target lines off the 5 sets of tees.
There are bungalows available for rent on property about $399 /night two bedroom. Nice course for a group outing and I think enough other outdoor recreation in the area to explore a few days not golfing.
Restaurant was open closed early. I had a beverage and Alex an burrito. Sunday heat and sparse amount of players.
The pro shop said that the prime time condition for the course is the later spring time. And the surrounding foothills would be green not golden color.
Recommend Ten hour day total at my leisure.
