Played GK Cup Match with Mike.Pugh & SR714 with an 11:56 tee time. Typical Covid protocols were in place, check in outdoors, masks required in all public areas, snack bar was open and a few tables were missing on the patio. POP was 4:15.
Overall it was a great day! We had a spirited match where we split points right down the middle. It's pretty easy to review this course. The greens were amazing, slightly faster than average but smooth and ran true. The fairways were in very nice shape considering all of our recent weather and the tees were also in great shape. Tee markers seemed very narrow and I felt didn't give you much room to try to shape a shot or be creative, but that's honestly the only concern I had here.
The course layout is great with a good mix of tough holes, a few routine holes and a couple of quirky holes that you need to have some experience with to play them correctly. This was my first time at this track but I am already looking forward to going back. Definitely recommend!!» Close

Played 10/3/2020 with a 9:55 tee time. The starter actually came to us while warming up and said a group was a no-show and asked if we'd like to go out earlier, of course we accepted! Pop was a bit slow, but not uncomfortably so. We got around in 4:40 and beat the heat a bit.
The tee boxes were mostly level but a bit fuzzy. It still wasn't bad finding a place to hit your shot though. Fairways were in nice shape although there were a few bare spots, as well as some very wet spots where it appeared they were trying to bring some spots back.
The greens accepted shots well. They were well maintained and rolled true with medium speed. This is definitely where they are focusing there time right now and it shows. The overall layout is fun, challenging, and sometimes a bit surprising. I look forward to going back as this was my first time playing there.
Typical Covid protocols are in place, masks in the shop and while getting a drink or sandwich. Green fee includes a sandwich after the round and a small bucket to warm up with. The folks working there were pleasant and it was apparent they wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Great time!!» Close

Played the Vineyard course on Saturday morning 9/26 with an 8:40 tee time. POP was excellent for a weekend, we got around in 4:15 finishing right on time to get a sandwich off property before heading home.
Typical Covid protocols were in place, no snack bar or water on the course but the staff was friendly and helpful. Tee boxes were in great shape, greens were in pretty good shape, but a few were quite bumpy, especially this early in the morning. Speed was down on the greens from what I remember from about 5 years ago, but they ran true and were somewhat challenging.
The fariways were also in nice shape, mostly lush with very few bare spots. Rough was thin but penal and the traps were well maintained. I would not hesitate to go back and actually look forward to maybe putting this one in my regular local courses to play.
My only concern was with the driving range. It's large but not marked at all. They have buckets to shoot at and large nets but if you're working on distances it's hard to tell how far the ball is going with no markings. On top of that there is a huge ridge that runs about 125 yards out and makes seeing anything longer very difficult to see land. I know, it's picky, but I wasn't a big fan. :)» Close

I played as a single on 9/16/2020 with a 10:00am tee time. POP was fine, getting around in 4:10. Marshalls are sorely missed here at times but overall it's not bad.
The fariways and greens were in great shape. A few tees, while mostly lush, have some pretty serious divot damage. If was nearly impossible to find a decent spot on a couple fo the par 3 tee boxes. Overall though, the course is in very nice shape, especially given the severe weather we've been seeing.
This course is a serious test of your short game. Huge collars surround all the greens and depending on pin placement it can be tough to get tight to most pins. Sadly, I noticed a lot of players playing from the blue tees that absolutely shouldn't have been and as a result sometimes we waited on a few tees.
as always, I had a great time here and look forward to going back. you can only get aa senior discount if you have a senior card, which seemed like a lot of hassle, but that's about the only concern I had. Covid procedures are as expected, masks in the clubhouse, food only through a small window, and such, but again, not a big deal.» Close

I also played the GK event here on 9/13/20202. We were the first group off and having brought 3 new members of GK with me i have to say it was a great way to represent the course and the GK club in general. Everyone was very friendly and my friends are already looking forward to attending other events.
On course I was surprised that the conditions were as nice as they were. With all the weather we've had the tee boxes were in great shape, the fairways were lush and usually the ball sat up and the overall appliance is fantastic. The greens were tricky from a speed perspective, but received shots well and were generally in nice shape.
The golf staff were fantastic, both starters were very friendly & accommodating, the Pro Shop staff were great as well. The wait staff on the beautiful deck overlooking 2 great finishing holes were probably a bit lax and indifferent, but got the job done.
I would definitely go back and look forward to another GK event here if that happens.» Close
