I played Saguaro the first week of June when the rates just went down from the high season, but before the real bad Summer heat. That's a great time to play in Scottsdale. The coure was in great condition from tee to green. The fairways here are very wide so you really have to be spraying your drives badly to miss a fairway off the tee. The approaches and greens are what make this course interesting to play, but most of all it is the views. The mountains, desert, cactus and the Fountain Hills fountain turn every hole into a postcard.

Rough in summer condition and steep slopes make it difficult to maintain pristine condition. Amazing layout with beautiful scenery. It is great to play a course with no interrupted views (i.e. houses).

I will definitely return and play again.

Course was in decent condition and the layout is fantastic. As LanceDumas said in previous post, it is a little pricey for the dead of summer.

Due to course difficulty and it being filled up with four-somes on a Sunday morning, it was a 4.5+ hour round. The fairways were thin or bare in may areas and on some holes were immaculate. The greens were in great condition, ran true but were a little slower than expected.

I would definitely play again but probably would do so during the shoulder season ($60) as I do not like paying $80+ to play with out of towners looking for their balls for 5+ hours.

Played this course on july 16th, although the layout is very interesting and challenging, the course was in terrible shape, most of the fairways had many bare patches, some hardly had any grass .

This course is in excellent shape. From the tee to the green it was a great layout. The only item that could be improved was the sand in the traps. It was corse and had some small pebbles in it. Currently carts on path only so I would recommend walking it. There is a special rate for Arizona residents so ask when booking tee time.

A unique experience. Understated but amazing course (much moreso than Crenshaw's Talking Stick layout). Played in December 2007. Excellent conditions- have never had anything less in playing We-Ko-Pa courses. Beautiful walk in the foothills/desert. Recommend use of power cart instead of using 'cart path only' carts. Actually, I will carry own bag next time. Firm greens.

Played Fri July 6th and could not believe how lush the course looked because it has been so hot. My only drawback was the greens. They look great but are very hard and putt slow and were a little bumpy. The carts did not have ice chests on them but I asked the starter about getting one and he was more than happy to get me one. I also saw people bringing their own ice chests with them. I prefer this course over their other one.

Wow, what a gorgeous course, played in a tournament and from the Black tees, One up from the tips, Hills and desert, great views. Greens were true and other then 1 or 2 false fronts pretty accessable. The wind came up midway thru and it was a 2 club difference. Only issue was Cart paths only.
