Played 4/28 with a 1:10 start. Round was very slow, ending up at 5 hours from tee off, and they were 2-3 groups behind on the first tee (we started around 1:25). Course is in decent shape; fairways looked generally fine as did the rough. Greens had quite a bit of pitch mark damage with many unrepaired marks. Sand in bunkers looked to have some pebbles in it, and some were still quite wet. Overall, a fun track with some challenging holes which have a good amount of character. Lots of doglegs requires some strategizing off the tee. The biggest knock on the course is the shape of the greens, but overall an enjoyable round and very affordable with a GolfNow deal for $33 each w/cart.

Played in windy conditions in the afternoon of a contractors rainy day off that cleared to blustery winds and partly sunny skies.
Not many GKers play here no reviews since my last visit 2018. We used a Golf now hot deal that made dealing with the weather worth it.
Greens had been small tinned last week and show little sign of that and are good. Smooth not to many ball marks and just a bit slow with the poa seed heads in season. A couple weeks and should be great as they usually are here. Rest of the conditions like you'd expect at this $ range. Customer service friendly and glad I made the visit in order to make a deuce on Par 3 4th.

3/11/18 Had a 6:30am tee time (daylight savings change) moved that to 7:18 still first out as a twosome. $35 with cart special as greens had been aerated on 3/5. Overall conditions as expected for the Sac county course. Rough ok but patchy not hard to play out of. Fairways decent. Tee boxes ok. Not a high slope rating from any tee.

Temp 44 start a bit foggy as forecasted. After 3 holes the fog was burning off and appeared it would clear with the rising sun. But it came back on the 8th hole it dropped thickly to ground level. Holes 8-11 were tough to see the greens or fairways but onward through it we continued. It cleared completely on 13 perfect weather rest of day.

Hadn't played here in a year or so and trying to play by braille was not easy for the fog holes. Cherry Island has a few interesting hole designs and routing. Par 37 front (3 par 5's) 35 back (3 Par 3's)

Good driving range. Large practice putting green. Pro shop well stocked inventory. Staff great and friendly.

Played 3/30/17 at 10AM. Most other courses in the area are aerating so came here. Overall course is in great shape for the price. Believe a midweek green fee, cart, and range bucket was all under $40. Fairways in great shape, greens a tad dry and slow, but not terrible for the price. Interesting track that requires some local knowledge. A yardage book would help. Example would be the opening hole par 5 with a large dog leg left. Believe a tee shot greater than 215 or so will go through the back rough, but again, not entirely sure unless you're playing with a local. Pace of play was fine. Finished in about 4 hours. No cart service on the course so plan accordingly. If in the area, I would consider coming back, but would rather try another track when the aeration has healed.

Played nines holes (back) today. Only $16 to walk for as much as you can play. Pace was slow and it was 100 degrees out. Course is in good/fair condition and well worth $16 to play. Easy track with a fun setup for long hitters.

Most of the course is pure Bermuda grass which makes the tees harder to tee up but the fairways run and give perched up lies. Greens don't break much and are slow/average speed but roll pretty good.

A quirky course, second time out here, didn't enjoy is as much as i remembered... But the price was right ($27 with cart), and the course was in great shape.

Played here Wednesday 3/16/16. Challenging and fun course. Only complaint is that greens had just been punched and sanded after El Nino dumped rain on the course. Will definitely be back.

Played with a friend on a groupon $32 rate. Good value for this course. I really thought the layout was good, with a nice mix of doglegs left and right and some good par 3's. A couple of quirky holes that are almost lay-up off the tee box, but many good holes. Conditioning was really pretty good considering the time of year and general heat. Pace of play was a little slow on the back 9 but I would go back again.

I played this course for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I think this is a great course for the price. I will definitely be playing this course again. Was in very good shape from tee to green.
