Just recently sanded greens made for bumpy putting (poa), but soft and holding well. Wait until mid July for recovery. Tuesday 22 June 1 pm tee time 4 ball, quiet day, 4 hour round. Check in easy with EZ Links on line booking, $25 riding. All maintenance aspects to a high standard, with tees, fairways, rough in lush condition. Some sand bunkers had weed growth visible, but most in good shape. Good practice facility for chipping/putting. Good food in grille and lots of drinks cart passes and drink stations on course. The layout/design is the best part. Lots of fun and challenge from any tee you choose. Pick your day as the winds can get nasty from the SW. Solid Arnold Palmer Signature design.

Played this course Friday the 28th of May after a light rain on Wednesday. Course seemed to drain well but the greens were not cut and were shaggy at best. The previous time I played here the over quality of the experience was much higher and could justify the premium fees ($75 weekday/Friday)...this round, however was NOT. When I compare playing Indian Valley a week earlier, paying less than half and having near perfect conditions, I doubt if I will return to Hiddenbrooke for a while. Shop/check-in person was rude and was just interested in getting our $75 and did not even want to give me a discount that I could show on my email (cel)...it had to be printed out, no exceptions...Would have saved $10 and shut me up from complaining about the bad experience.

As always, Hiddenbrooke is a challenge. This is largely due to the wind that blows every afternoon and the characteristics of the course layout that will just plain "eat your lunch". The rough can really swallow a ball, making it nearly impossible to hit the green in regulation. Other features such as numerous "riparian" (creek or lake banks) areas very close to the edge of a green can have you making a large number very quickly. The full tariff green fee is a little high in my opinion. An on-line coupon deal is more reasonable. Also, a breakfast burrito and coffee for $11.50 is rather pricey as is 24 range balls for $4.00. In any case, bring your game, it's not an easy course!

Tuesday 1pm tee, 2 ball. Good customer service, F&B, practice facility for chipping, small warm up green; average range, but sufficient for warm up. There was some water damage in spots from the rain Monday, but maintenance overall to a VERY high standard. Fairways were mown down a bit thin and made for running tee shots. First cut of rough is about an inch then into the deep stuff, 5+ inches, after the rain. Some tee boxes need leveling and reseeding; sand seemed new in a lot of bunkers (very good). Greens were great! Soft, holding, true and becoming bumpy as the day progressed. Aeration confirmed for Nov 9 & 10. Lots of drinks cart passes and pass by clubhouse after 9th; also lots of water stations. Solid layout with a good challenge. 4hrs 35 round, golfnow.com 'hot deal' $32 riding.

All aspects of maintenance and presentation very good. Although just off the course it is quite dry, watering is targeted to maintain mostly lush conditions throughout. The greens are great; soft, smooth, and quick. The rough around the greens is closer to 4-5 inches. We played behind a 72 ball tournament; 5 hours to finish. No worries on a solid layout during a beautiful summer day. Lots of drinks cart passes and a challenge for the money. Modest practice range but good free chipping area and small putting green. Customer service does need a bit of attention however. golfnow hot deal $32 at 1:50 tee time on Wednesday 26 August.

Played this on a very late twilight. Got out at 5pm but still finished. The winds were not as bad as they can be and had a great, relaxing round. The course is in good condition, as usual, but I noticed a lot of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. I've never seen so many here before. C'mon guys..the course works hard to keep conditions good and greens soft in hot weather...help out a little. Still a good choice. When I think of courses to play this one is always in the top 10 for the bay area.

Nice well kept course, greens are fast and true. Fairways are well watered and there are a lot of fairway sand traps. I recommend using the blue tees if you usually use the white tees, the white tees are short on this course. The blue tees give you a course length of 6241 yards and the white tees 5769 yards. The driving range provides free balls for those who are playing and you can hit um till your hands bleed, so knock yourself out. There is a putting and a chipping green as well. The staff is friendly and the course is uncrouded. This golf course is in the middle of a truley hidden community with a brook running through it and a lake in front of the 17th green with water comming into play on several other holes. The senior week day rate is $50 and worth it as they also give you great service along with all the tees you can use and a monogrammed green pick. This course reminds me of The Bridges Golf course in its character. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and unlike a number of other courses if you hit the ball in the fairway it is always in view. Make sure you pick up a yardage card at the first tee as the pictures give you a great understanding of each unique hole. I recommend this course and everyone should play it at least once.

Sand in good shape. Did not see a drink cart today, but then did not see any other golfers- 1:30 Tee time- but you pass the clubhouse on the turn. Always a good time.

Greens are only a month from coring but recovering very well. Still bumpy, true and holding well. Tees are in good shape, fairways a bit dry and running, some bare spots. Good sand throughout and rough in good shape. Great layout and a lot of fun. Drinks cart attended well for a slow Thursday p.m. Good staff and grill open late enough.
Really is worth a look if you can pick your day for weather.
