One of the most challenging golf courses I've ever played. The wind was at 35-40 miles per hour at some holes. I even saw a tree fall down at hole #2. The condition of the course was immaculate. This was definitely a humbling experience. Would definitely come back and at a price of $45 I paid. Maybe a deal where they have a free golf towel and box lunch!

Played on 6/2 from groupon special of $45 per player. Very demanding and challenging layout. Each hole is unique and different from one another. Wind was blustery and can have a adverse effect on how the hole is played. Often times needed one or more clubs length. Course conditions were excellent, course of play could have been better. Definitely will come back for challenge and unpredictable weather conditions. Tellis Frank.

The course was fine, good challenges without being a killer. There were fun shots and it was in decent enough shape. My issue with the course was the customer service--or lack thereof.

We used a Travelzoo voucher--a special that the course had offered which included the round, cart, golf towel, boxed lunch and range balls. We picked up the range balls and went to warm up. Unfortunately, while hitting the range balls, I pulled a muscle in my back pretty bad. It hurt to breathe. We still had 45 minutes until the tee time, and I went back to the clubhouse to talk to the starter. I told him I'd hurt myself, and asked if we could get a "raincheck" on the round of golf. His immediate answer was, "No." I looked at him, perplexed, awaiting further explanation, and eventually got, "You turned in your voucher. We can't undo that." Seriously? I didn't want them to "undo" anything, I just wanted to play a round of golf when I was healthy. He was acting like I was trying to pull something over on him. I'd just driven an hour to get to the course and was already disappointed that I likely was going to drive back without playing. He eventually said he'd ask the PGA Pro, but he was unavailable giving someone a lesson. Evidently, there was no way to contact him before my tee time.

Rather than go away completely empty handed, I tried to play. I couldn't really swing the club on full shots, and I probably exacerbated my injury (it's still sensitive 3 weeks later). I would just expect better customer service from what is purported to be a higher-end course.

On 12/4/11, this beautiful course was in it's usual lush condition. It's very challenging without being long. The staff is excellent. The only downside today were the greens which were bumpy due to maintenance. The greens were consistent and fairly speedy however.

Our foursome teed off early morning the day after Thanksgiving and just beat the rush of golfers. Got a good deal on tee times from golfnow.com, due to the recently punched greens that were still trying to get back to their top-notch quality. Took about 4.5 hours to play with a little bit of waiting on the back nine. The views are wonderful and the course is very scenic. You can get into trouble with a wayward tee shot here, as the out of bounds & off-fairway areas are very thick. Some good elevation changes on a couple of holes. We played from the white tees and it should be noted that the tips are a long ways back there and would render this course a great deal more difficult. Someone there said when the greens are right they run at a 12, which is pretty speedy. Great course, I'd love to play there again.

Tuesday 6 Sept two of us teed off at 1030, meeting up with 2 others down the track made for a 5 hour round (ladies day). Great day of summer golf on beautifully presented example of Arnie's creation. Greens almost perfect, fairways, rough, tees lush and groomed, sand updated and good all around. Love the layout and the challenge. Lots of attention by the drinks cart, no marshals seen all day. A great day on a fun course with fine golfers. Monday 29 Aug and a 13:00 tee time, the four of us launched up the first lush manicured fairway, greeted by smooth quick, soft and holding greens. Challenging day, not just for the layout, but the wind was a stiff 15 all day, with some gusts. Only disappointment was the sand in most bunkers; thinning and pebbly. No drinks cart today - no worries- good marshaling for our 4+25 round. Magnificent course.

Two of us played Thursday 18 Aug, 1040 tee time. Almost a year since the last time here; it is one of my favorite courses in the North Bay. See detailed ratings for items. In addition to my review below, this time the greens were spectacular; smooth, soft, fast - deadly combination. All aspects of presentation and maintenance to a very high standard. Quiet day, lazy pace at 4 hours, friendly staff, lots of drinks cart passes, and a challenging round on a solid layout. This time Arnold beat me.

Tuesday 28 Sep 0750 tee, 4 ball, email coupon $40 incl hot dog, Pinnacle sleeve, range balls, cart. Check in easy, friendly & efficient.Good practice facility for chipping/putting.All maintenance aspects to a high standard, with tees, fairways, rough in lush condition. Sand generally in good shape. Greens still with morning dew, soft and a little bumpy but pace quickened as the morning dried out the course. Temp today 92 by noon. Good food in grille and lots of drinks cart passes and drink stations on course. The layout/design is the best part. Lots of fun and challenge from any tee you choose. Pick your day as the winds can get nasty from the SW. Solid Arnold Palmer Signature design.
