Played here 8/19 with a 6:45 tee time. We got out about 15 minutes late due to the course offering tee times when its still dark per the starter.
Tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways are very good right now with good coverage and very good roll out on well struck shots. The rough is not to long but its still tough to find your ball if you get too far off line.
The greens are in good shape but do have a few too many old ball marks for my liking. They roll at a medium speed and hold shots well. Some holes still had foam in the bottom.
I was not in any bunkers but several of my partners were and they seemed to have ample sand. There are rakes.
We never saw the cart but maybe we were just too early. We finished right at the four hour mark.

Played here Friday 7/30 and had a 7:30 tee time. We got off right on time and finished in 4 :15 with no one pushing us.
Tee boxes are in ok shape with a few thin spots.
Fairways are in good shape but some were overwatered and we had some wet lies. Some of the bunkers had standing water and some are in need of more sand.
Rough was in good shape in most spots.
The greens with the exception of #2&18 have recovered from the problem they had last year. They rolled at a medium speed and smooth.
Checkin was quick and we only saw the cart once but not until hole 16.
I enjoy the layout and plan on returning soon. Just a heads up,no senior rate on Fridays.

Played here Monday 7/12 with a 7 am tee time.We played the white tees. Was able to book as a single only online so you can't get the senior rate. They will not take a tee time for a single over the phone.
Check in is quick and the shop looks to be well stocked. I didn't use the range but the main putting green is in bad shape with what looks to be some kind of virus so it was bumpy and much slower than in the past. Unfortunately the all of the greens on the course are infected the same way
Tee boxes are in good shape with the exception of #17 which is rock hard and very tough to get you tee into.
Fairways are mostly very good with good coverage and great to hit from. There are a few dry spots but not too many. With the heat I was not surprise.
Rough was not a factor and mostly cut low. Bunkers are what i've come to expect here, some fairway bunkers thin and greenside mostly good sand. There are plenty of rakes.
The greens as I mentioned earlier are tough to put on. Very uneven and bumpy. They look to be on the way back and not cut to tight during this heatwave.
We saw the cart on the back nine. Plenty of marshals coming by to keep things moving. We played in 4:15 as a foursome.
Overall an enjoyable round at my favorite course.

I'm a little late to the party on this one but i've been on the road for a few days. I played at the GK event here last Sunday with Tony,Greg and Kevin. We had a great time and really enjoyed the course and each others company. Not much to add as to the conditions of the course.Everyone else has been spot on with their reviews. Thanks to Johnny for setting this up.
Really wish this was not so far from home so I could play it on a regular basis.

Played here today with Johnny,Greg and Ron and had a great time. The course is in really good shape so if you can go play.
We played the white tees and some of the boxes had some bumps and bare spots but you find a good spot to hit from.
The fairways have great coverage and for the most part lush. There were a few dry areas but I didn't see any bare spots.
The rough is long and juicy. The ball settles down and it will grab you club. You had to look a bit to find your ball sometime.
The bunkers are thin and hard like most times Ive played here. Some had standing water in them.
The greens are really nice. Smooth and running medium fast. Very few ball marks. There were some really tough pin positions today.
We played at our own pace with never waiting much and no one behind us. We finished in about 4 1/2 hours
They have what looks to be brand new carts with really nice seats and GPS. They look to have blu tooth speakers built in but we did not try them out
No drink cart but the halfway house is open.
Overall a really enjoyable round with some great guys.

Had a 7:10 tee time today and got out right on time. I played as a single until #9 when I caught a twosome.
Tee boxes are just ok with many having a lot of divot damage. Overall the course is a bit on the dry side so some fairways had decent coverage but some were thin-hard and had bare spots.
The rough is not much different than the fairways just with more bare areas.
I was in a couple of bunkers and they had ample dark brown sand but are still without rakes.
The greens were the best part of the course with good surfaces to put from but on the slow side.
The third hole is still a par three but it has been moved a little to the west and is shorter. The whole east side of that area has had the trees cut down and is being cut away to make room for the road work.
The pro shop said that per Cal Trans the course will close in july for about a year and a half and be completely redesigned. The time frame could change depending on how well the work goes. They did not know who was doing the redesign work. Maybe Johnny can find out???
The course looks like it is not being maintained very well and I expect it will continue to go downhill until the closure.

Played here on Fri 3/19 with a tee time of 7:53. The twosome i was supposed to be paired with didn't show up so they moved me back one slot and off we went. First few holes were a bit slow but the marshal came around and lit fire under the group ahead and then things moved fine. Finished right 4:15. Range and practice green both open and masks required in the shop for checkin.
Tee boxes are a mixed bag with some lush and some a bit thin but acceptable overall.
The fairways are in good winter shape with only a couple a bit thin in areas. Rough is thin and not an issue to play from.
Bunkers are lacking sand but playable.
They are punching and sanding two greens per week thur April and this week it was 7 & 18. Other than those the greens are in very good shape and rolled medium quick with very few old ball marks.
When I left it was very busy around the clubhouse and a few people were eating inside the snack bar. The cart was around twice once on each nine.
I had only played here once before years ago and I enjoyed the round and plan to return more often.

Played here Fri. 2/26 with a 7:50 tee time and got out right on time.I paid the senior rate of $50 which about all this track is worth right now. We played as a foursome and we finished right at 4 hr. There were lots of young ladies on the range and playing practice rounds on the Champions course getting ready for the Symetra event next week.
Checkin is now back upstairs in the shop with masks required.
The tee boxes are a little beat up on the whites, some need some leveling.
Fairways are in good shape for winter with decent coverage but still a good amount of roll out.The rough is cut down and not much of an issue to hit from.
The bunkers are the weakest part on the course. Most lack sand and have way too many rocks.
The greens were firm and ran quick. The sign said they were running at 10.5 but most seemed quicker. There are a lot on old ball marks but they did not effect the roll too much.
There is a lot of construction going on around the course with grading going on getting ready for houses. Some look to be very close to the course. There are several new tunnels that go under new roads being built. At the 18 tee box there are lots literally backing up to the cart path.
We saw the drink cart several times and it is card only no cash accepted. Standard covid stuff with no ball washers or rakes but there are sand bottles on the carts.

Played 2/16 with a 7:13 tee time and got out right on time. Finished in 4:15 with some waiting on the group ahead of us. Check in is in the shop and quick with masks required. The grill is open for take out and drinks. Range and practice green are both open.
Tee boxes are a little thin but still very playable
Fairways on the front nine show signs of being punched recently and were good to hit from although winter thin with lots of roll out. The back nine must have been punched with 1/2 holes last night or early this morning and you had to deal with all the muddy plugs.
The rough around the greens was long and thick making you work to get out. The bunkers were just reworked last summer and have lots of nice white sand but no rakes so you have to deal with some footprints.
The greens ran at medium speed and held shots well. Very few old ball marks to deal with.
Did not see a drink cart but did have a marshal come by several times.
Overall I always enjoy this track and will be back soon.

I played here on Mon. the 8th so Im a little late with this.
Had a 7:40 tee time and we got out about 10 minutes late I believe due to some fog hanging around the course. We waited on a few holes on a foursome ahead of us who seemed to be confused on some of the holes but we still finished in 4:10.
Tee boxes are in good shape except for 17 which is so hard you almost need a hammer to get a tee in the ground.
Fairways are in great shape with good coverage and a nice cushion to hit from. Most of the bunkers are ok but could use more sand in some.
The rough is cut down and not too penal.
The greens were firm and running at a medium/fast speed. Some were a little bumpy.
Checkin was quick but I do have one complaint. You can not book as a single player over the phone and you must book online. They do not give you the option to get the senior rate this way. I would like to see this change.
Overall a great day at Goose and I will be back soon.

Played here on 2/5 with a 7:40 tee time and we got out about 10 minutes early. Needed a light jacket for awhile but it warmed up nicely. Check in is from a window at the back of the shop. Practice green is closed but the range is open. Typical covid stuff with no sand bottles, ball washers or rakes in the bunkers.
Tee boxes need work. Most are thin and beat up and a few need leveling.
Fairways have decent coverage for this time of year with very few thin spots. If you get off line much there is nit much rough but there are quite a few bare areas to deal with.
Bunkers were ok and had been groomed so not many footprints to deal with this early in the morning. Most had ample sand.
The greens ran a little slow and some were bumpy. Several had bare spots around the edges.
I paid $35 with the senior card and that includes a single rider cart. Didn't see a drink cart but the snack window is open with cards only accepted. Quite a bit of maintenance going on around the course.

I was also able to play here with the other guru’s. When I walked out onto the dining area that over looks the 18th hole I knew this was going to be a great day.The weather was warm and sunny and as others have mentioned the course is visually stunning. The fairways are emerald green with very nice landscaping around them.
The staff was friendly and helpful. As calligolfer mentioned we had a great conversation after the round about the measures the use to keep the course in such outstanding condition.
I enjoyed the layout a lot. There are no blind shots and enough water and other features that make you think about your shots. As we worked are way around we all commented on the fact that there was really no parts of the course we could find fault with.
Fairways have great coverage and a good cushion to hit from. The rough is cut low enough that you can find your ball but still make you work a bit to get out. The bunkers are great. Really good sand and rakes. I was in a couple and had good lies and almost forgot to rake them being used to what we become used to.
The greens ran medium fast and had lots of subtle breaks. They were a pleasure to putt on.
As always a big thank you to the other players for making this a fun round and thanks to Johnny for setting this up.
