Played 11/19 @ 8:30. Course is still in great shape. I hope they continue the good work. Rough is getting thicker. Advice, don't try to be a HERO. Take your medicine and play for a bogey if you care about your score. If you're not a decent driver of the ball, play somewhere else. A guy in my group quit mid-way through the 6th hole. It can be very frustrating for some. Greens are in Great shape. If you play 18 holes w/out a three putt you have putted well. Tees are tour quality. All in all, its worth every dollar I spent ($42 walking).

Played 10/24/07 @ 8:00. Simply put the course is PURE right now. Greens are big & tricky to read. Stay below the hole. Bunkers are good. Tees are GREAT. Fairways are tightly mown. Rough is tough but playable if you know how to play out it. Well worth the $42 I payed to walk.

Played 10/23 @ 7:30. No one on the course do to the FIRES. Front nine was being punch. Temp greens on all nine holes. Back nine greens were good & pure but that won't last for long. Nice, fast round although it was a bit smokey.

Look Gevo I know a decent course when I play one. Chula Vista has alot of potential but they choose not to do anything w/ it. Overseeded? Nice try. Bonita is in much better shape & they have full on construction going on a few of the holes. Maybe in a couple of months when the "Overseeding" is completed, but for now go to the range & work on your ball striking. The greens can really mess up your puttting stroke.

Played 10/16/07 @ 10:00. Let's just say this is the last review from me for this course. Fairways sucked, greens were slower than molasses (not mention VERY BUMPY), & the tee boxes were thin. Who cares if it cheap golf, I'd rather go to the range & hit off a mat than play here anytime soon. The starter had no idea who was suppose to be on the 1st tee. Get a clue Chula Vista!

Played 10/8/07 @ noon. Course is in pretty good shape all things considered. Greens were better than expected. Bermuda rough can be tricky. There was a one temp green & one temp tee but both weren't too disappointing. Got pretty winding on the back. Played with three hackers, one who had never played golf before (very frustrating). All in all, it was worth the green fee ($19) w/ a cart.

Played 9/19 @ 12:30 w/ a twosome. It was a nice day at the pasture (I mean golf course). Greens are getting a little better (still 1/2 punched). Fairway are healthier. Rough is thick around some of the greens. Typical Muni conditions. For $16 I not complaining...

Played 9/11 @ 11:30. Course is under repair. 1/2 of each green is punched. Fairway are getting better (tight lies). Tees are typical Muni condition. Rough is not that bad for the most part. I enjoyed my round. Played in 3hrs.

Played 9/2 @ 2:30. The only things good about the course right now is the greens and the views. Course is burned out. Many dirt spots in the fairways & rough. Some of the rough was ridiculously thick. Soggy as hell in front of greens. Greens aren't really that good but better than usual (still bumpy in spots).

Played 8/27 @ 2:30. Course is in O.K. shape. Greens are slow, grainy, and bumpy. Fairways are O.K. Bunkers are too wet but playable. I love the layout!

Played 8/26 @ 2:30. Course is in O.K. shape. The greens have gotten a little better. They need to work on the rough (dirt) and certain spots in the fairways but worth $17.

Played 8/24 @ 9:30. Course is in O.K. shape. Fairways spotty, greens slow and bumpy. The bunkers have improved but you can't spin the ball out of them. Typical low price Muni.
