Fun 9 hole executive course. Easy to walk, not too challenging, but good enough to use most clubs in your set. All parts of the course are pretty good. Rough is plentyful and most fairways are lined with trees. Nothing special, but a good place to work on your game. Most people walk and pace is pretty decent. Easy and quick to get out as a single. A very enjoyable short round.

Played 04-10-08
Walked on immediately at 9am and played 2 rounds of nine. No waiting on any holes and completed play in under 4 hours. All greens have break and are super soft so every shot creates a ball mark. Customer service is outstanding, from the starters to the bartender.

Played nine holes after work on 2/21. Finished in 90 minutes for $6.50 - great deal. This is a fun little course to work on your game if you are short of time, although it does slow up considerably on the weekends. Built on hilly terrain, its a good collection of downhill holes (#1, 2, 4, 5, 8) where distance control is key with the irons and a couple of uphill par 5's (#6, 9) that are short enough to be conquered in two by anyone with reasonable power. Current course conditions are about average for the region this time of year. Eaton Canyon is always a fun way to spend a couple hours.

Greens are in excellent condition after aeration a few weeks ago. Considering the best players in the PLGA (winners of the PLGA championship and B flights) play there this course is fun...

A real course, but only 9 holes, similar to Altadena. Pretty hilly. Second hole (over the wash) a nice challenge.

Played EC Wednesday afternoon @ 5:30 for the first time in a while. Pace was good. The Winter fairways are long gone along with thin lies. It's all nicely greened up. There was some sanding on the greens and they were a bit on the slow side, but otherwise in pretty decent shape. Overall a good choice for an inexpensive, interesting and picturesque, 9 holes.

with good practice facilities and the ease of walk-up (single), a great place to practice your game without giving up the whole afternoon

Eaton Canyon is a great 9 hole course. Good practice facilities and easy single walk-ons make it an ideal place to work on your game without giving up an entire day. Pleasent staff in club house and bar round out this nice course.

This is a nice course to play everyday during the week. You have the San Gabriel Moutains in the background and fairways lined with tree's. This course is a good course for golfers of all levels.

Tried to get on Santa Anita as a single @12:00 and still hadn't gotten a slot after about an hour and fifteen minute wait. Figuring 18 wasn't going to happen, I cruised over to Eaton Canyon for 9. I got out immediately as a single. Had a slow foursome ahead of me that didn't offer to let me through until the 7th hole, at which point it didn't matter. The general pace of the course was consistent but slow. The fairways are in mid-Winter shape. Dry, yellow, some thin and bare lies. A lot of roll if you hit it straight and decent lie if you get enough grass under your ball but that is only sometimes. The greens, however, were in good shape. Nice day to be out and I got at least a partial fix, but the conditions are what they are this time of year.

eaton canyon is a challenging nine hole set in a great location and is a beutiful course. My favorite is the first hole because you cannot see the green from the tee. When you tee off and set off to your next shot you pass over the a hill that blocks your view of the green and when you get to the top you see a beutiful elevated green on a serious slope.

A very good public course with some challenging spots and some good elevation changes. There are a few spots that could use some attention but overall a good course and a good value.

This is a 9 hole par 35, 3 par 3s, 4 par 4, 2 short par 5. under 3000 from the blues. It is a nice enough track, good for beginners, has elevation changes, and 180 yd par 3s. On the weekend, it was $48 for 2 riders, and you can replay for $9 plus cart. The course is in good shape, greens are medium speed, there are generous fairways, and not so generous. It will play slow on a weekend. There is a driving range, medium size putting green. They recently got new carts, so those are nice. If you are looking to squeeze 9 holes in, this is not a bad option.
