First (and probably last) visit. They try, but play was on a Sat. and far too slow. Course too short and compact for my taste, overall condition was okay. Didn't know it was only a 9 hole course until we got there...after taking almost 2 and 3/4 hours to play, I was happy we could only play 9. greens okay, fairway okay, nothing to get excited about.

I have been playing here for 20 years and it just keeps getting better.
Greens are small but have gotten really fast the last year or so. Expect to see deer around sunrise and sunset . The course is narrow but not long.
Good shots yield birdies bad shots will cost you a ball most of the time.
If you have 3-4 hours go play then have meal

This is a great course to take the wife or girlfriend and relax. Its nine holes so it doesnt take the whole day to play. You should walk this course to take it all in. Greens are always in great shape. Fun course to practice your short game and have a few drinks in the bar after. Very nice

Just played yesterday and the punched and sanded on Mon. but really didn't bother much as the ball still rolled pretty true. They have some burned out areas but I expected that with the summer we've had. I'd say give it three weeks for the greens to come around. I really like this course for the experience of being in the canyon and the seclusion. BTW I dsidn't lose one ball that is a first for me at theis course as you can lose a ball that is off line in either direction.

This is a very nice course with GOOD conditions, but not great conditions. I like the course and the area is beautiful, but I'm not sure how this got an 8 rating.

The Aliso Creek Golf Course 9-hole is one of the best looking 9-hole courses in So. Cal that I have played. Nestled along the Aliso/Laguna foothills the course is surrounded by lush and beautiful hills. Makes you feel like your out in the mountains when the course is actually located right off Pacific Coast Highway. It is a challenging course with the championship tees located atop higher ledges coaxing regular tee hitters to try them out, be warned though those extra 10-15 yards will hurt you if you are not an accurate hitter, ditches and gorges will swallow your golf balls whole. Watch out for the trees off the 1st and 18th tee, if you happen to hit your balls into them they will get lost in the trees since they are very heavy in foilage. The 8th, 82 yard hole i very deceiving and is actually longer than expected, club up on this hole or you'll lose a few balls in the ravine. Played at noon and there were chipmunks running up to me looking for food. Play during the weekdays and the slow easy going play is great.

The driving range listed on their website is actually just a long practice net to warm up your swing. If you need to warm up on an actual range hit at your local course before coming here, $3 for a adequate small bucket. The course is $23 for Mon-Thur and $25 for Fri-Sun. $3 for pull cart rental.

Played here for the first time on March 4th. I share the sentiments of prior reviews. It is very well maintained little course with some fun layouts. Greens, except for a few, were in excellent shape. Probably the best part of this course is its ambiance with pretty views throughout the course.

This is a must play little course especially for OC residents. You won't find another course like this one that has an opportunity to see canyons, and wildlife along with the natural beauty of this location.
I have played here numerous times over the last 30+ years and it's always a joy to come back here.

Does the name Ben Brown's ring any bells?

Give it a try folks

Fun 9 hole course, very tough. Get a good deal playing 9 twice to make 18. Cool par 3's, and the 1st hole is cool because its very wide. As you get into th 3-7 holes it is narrow with trees. Creek runs thru course, but weather in summer is very cool because your right next to the ocean. Playing early in the morning theres fog because of the marine layer. Definetly recommended.

Great little executive 9 hole in picturesque Laguna canyon. Very well maintained and challenging layout given the size (5 par 4's, 4 par 3's, longest hole 310 yrds, ). Has a nice little creek that runs through the center of the course which you hit over on many of the holes. Only issue here is really the cost of the course. For 9 holes on a weekend is $30 to walk, $20 on a weekday. Not a very competitive rate, but still a fun course for a quick round.
