Played on Thursday June 13 as the first of four rounds in the area. We played the Vista an Lagos nine. First time playing the Vista nine and is a nice change most of the course plays through housing except for the last five holes which play in the wash and are more of a links style course. Not many people on the course but they were spreading the groups out throughout all three nines. The course charges $20 all day long and is well worth it.
Customer service was excellent from making the tee times for ten of us (Patty you were awesome for working with me over the phone). Everybody seemed happy we were ther and made the check in a breeze.
Tee boxes are in good shape and are level.
Fairways are in good shape with very few areas that are not green. One fairway had a huge puddle on the right side but no big deal.
Rough is not that deep except when you are playing the Vista holes in the wash ans ther is some very deep grasses.
Greens roll great but are slow.
Bunkers are average could use a little more sand, but are very playable.
Over all, we had a good time and will play again.
Did I mention that its $20 all day Long?

Hadn't played here in years as there are just so many options here in the PS area. This was a pleasant surprise for $35. I played the Lagos-Cielo combo. The conditioning is immaculate, fairways and teeboxes are nice and green, greens were smooth but not receptive. Chips and pitches seemed to roll out 20-30% further than expected. Typical Palm Springs area resort course with lots of houses and condos lining the fairways except for the first hole on Cielo. You are playing through all the residential areas then suddenly you go through a rabbit hole and appear in Links Land but only for one hole, then back to reality. Weird. Friendly folks in the club house and not much play right now. Come on out!

Had a very enjoyable Sunday here. Played Lagos/Cielo. Great pace even with a bunch of foursomes in a row. Finished in just under four hours, even with a few hold ups on the back 9. Lagos winds through the community but is a pretty open not real long resort 9. Cielo has one links hole and then 8 tighter, not as eventful holes through the community again. Greens were immaculate, though a touch slower than expected. Nary a mark anywhere and edges of the hole cups were flawless. A big kudos to the players here for knowing how to put the pin back in the hole! Fairways very lush and thick as was the rough at a solid thick lush 3". Tee boxes lush as well, mostly level, but not flawless, very good though. Sand was excellent on every hole. Customer service great. Did not see a cart girl. A lot of small beetles everywhere, liked to land on you and pulled two out of my pockets during the round. The Vista holes that we didn't play consist of 4 holes in the residential and 5 holes in the "wash" which are the links holes. Here's my only complaint... When we got to hole 10 (1st of Cielo) it is the only hole that is on that course not through the residences. The 6 links holes (5 are part of the Vista 9) are across the street and in the wash. It was such a tease seeing those unbelievably incredible looking holes only to realize the rest of them weren't part of our nine. My point... I LOVE links courses and these holes looked absolutely awesome. I will definitely request Vista next time! Pro shop lady even said most people don't request Vista because the links holes are the hardest on the course. Really a stunning view as you get to that side. These holes had the same conditioning as the rest of the course. I do recommend playing here. Very women friendly course as well with a 60/40 mix today and a lot of members with their own carts. Very polite and friendly regulars as well. Carts do not have GPS. They have ice chests. Also water on the course and an ice/water station where you get your carts.

Drove for the day (1.5 hrs from Pasadena) for a 6:52 t-time. Course is in very good shape and worth the drive. $30.00 green fees including hot dog after the round.

Played Desert Princess Saturday morning for $30 which included lunch (cheeseburger and fries). This is an outstanding deal that I take advantage of during the summer months.

Played Desert Princess Saturday morning for $30 which included lunch (cheeseburger and fries). This is an outstanding deal that I take advantage of during the summer months.

Desert Princess will be closing down for overseeding next week but was amazed at the condition of the course for this time of the year. Greens were exceptional...firm and very fast with harding any damage. The fairways/rough were dry because they are preparing to scalp but still very playable.

Still very hot for this time of year (high of 110F) with almost no wind but I always enjoy my round Desert Princess and today was no exception.

Played Cielo/Vista 9's Sunday morning and had a great time. Desert Princess is in good as it usually is and the greens are perfect. My only criticism is that the rough in the Vista nine has some brown patches.

I always enjoy a round of golf at the Desert Princess. It doesn't seem to get reviewed much on Greenskeeper but I recommend it.

Desert Princess has great summer rates... $25 for 18 holes including lunch (hot dog or sandwich with side and drink).

There are 3 sets of nine holes and the greens are always in good shape. Fairways and rough have some bad patches/ground under repair but overall in decent shape for this time of year.
Played Vista/Lagos and groundcrew has been adding new sand and the bunkers that have been worked on are GREAT.

This is an outstanding deal which lasts through September. Bring extra water and enjoy the HEAT.

Played a 730am shotgun start with a group of about 100 who's Eagle Falls event was cancelled with less than a weeks notice because of the Charles Barkley "All Stars Team Challenge" at Eagle Falls (Indian owned course in Indio next to Fantasy Springs Casino). We finished in less than 4 1/2 hours which is amazing considering the size of the group.

The Desert Princess is in very good shape from tee to green. My only gripe was that some of the sand traps had water in spots. We played Lagos/Cielo from the blues which was about 6100 yards and water came into play on the majority of the holes. Fairways are relatively wide with large greens that hold wells struck shots but water is EVERYWHERE. Weather was great for this time of year in the desert and the cart girl came by at least a half dozen times during the round.

Desert Princess is a well maintaned track with good staff and a layout that is interesting because of the number, size, and placement of the many water hazards.

Course is in pristine shape. Greens are in great shape for just going through overseeding. This course is always well maintained and plays faster than a lot of the major resort courses.
