The Classic Club is a facility that is run by Troon, which typically means excellent service and amazing course conditions. The Bob Hope Classic was hosted here in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We booked our 11:10 tee time on 11/29 through activegolf.com for $79 per player.

The course is just off the I-10 but feels like it's in the middle of nowhere... no houses anywhere near the course. This is a really awesome facility. Their clubhouse is top notch and their practice facility was the nicest we saw on this trip. Their range balls were brand new NXT Tours. The course conditions were amazing... comparable to Indian Wells. The greens were just as fast with some real tough reads. It was definitely a fun and challenging track! I have no idea how they got so much d%mn water on 18 holes in the middle of the desert! I was warned about the course being in the wind belt. No kidding! It was howling pretty good all day. We played the round as a foursome in 4 hours, 20 minutes.

I think the rack for this time is $149, internet had it for $109 and as mentioned we called the pro-shop a week ahead and got a $99 rate. This is a Troon course that was host to "the Hope" for 3 years. Troon knows how to treat the fee playing public, they are very good! Staff are attentive, friendly and plentiful !! This course has 5 sets of tees, so choose them wisely, especially if the wind is up, and blow it can on this side of US 10 !! We were lucky there was no wind at all ! Recently out of over-seeding, it was in very good condition. Lots of water on the course, but the fairways are actually wider than they appear, that is not to say I didn't hit any water though!! I really enjoyed the course and would certainly play it again.

Make you feel like a pro..Course was in excellent condition and an amazing layout with all aspects being perfect. By far the nicest and best run course in Palm Springs and will play every time I am there. Even better is their replay rate $25.....just make sure that you tell them when you first tee off you want to replay...

Played this course on July 27th with a buddy of mine for 22$ a piece. (C4TT) This course will spoil you because they take great care of their customers. The club house was by far the biggest and nicest club house I had ever been in, our seen. The day we played it was 116 degrees and nobody was on the course. We took our sweet time, literally we would play 3 holes, find some shade, drink some electrolytes, and rest for 15 or 20 minutes. During our 6 or 7 hour round of golf we only encountered two other groups. It was like having your own private golf course, then again we are probably the only morons who would play in that kind of heat. Course was a little brown in some areas but that is understandable in that kind of weather.

Played the Classic Club today. Customer service was as good or better than anywhere. Met in the p-lot and clubs were on the cart when we arrived. Unlimited Titleist NXT range balls. Great chipping and sand trap area. Very large putting green. 4 bottles of water in the cooler and unlimited waters available on the course.

Greens were starting to brown out but the rolled very well. Traps were in great shape with plenty of sand. Very pleased with my whole experience.

Played in the late morning on Thursday, 5/28/09, on a hot, sunny, breezy day. Wanted to play here because of course participation in the PGA tour event, and also got an unbelievable $35 rate on C4TT. At 1130 course was practically deserted, so played as a single in 3.5 hrs that included waiting for groups on the last few holes. This course compares with Paiute in Las Vegas for overall great conditioning and quality. Playing areas are generous, with plenty of room in the fairways, medium-sized greens, and no unfair holes. Water is in play on almost every hole on the back 9, but not much on the front. Greens were perfect - firm, smooth, rolled great. (Played Indian Wells Celebrity the day before and greens were of similar speed, but IW greens were drier and a little crusty, making them very unpredictable.) Fairways were in great shape, although many were being watered to beat the heat, so there were some soft spots. Traps were in great shape, with some having a crusty top later from watering. Saw the cart girl once each side, and there was lots of water provided and out for your use (needed!). Even the bathrooms were clean and nicely appointed. Opulent clubhouse and facilities. Highy recommended.

F&B outstanding with exec chef one of USA top 100.

Course was in amazing shape. Very challenging setup. Only complaint, group in front was slow and the marshall could not get them to move along.

The staff told us if you see clouds down in the pass leading back to LA, you can expect a very windy day, and we got it. This course can play very windy do to it being out next to the highway. The staff and course was excellent!
