Played as a twosome on 5/23. All was quiet and we were able to tee off early (7am). For those that don't know, they close the range every wednesday AM. They had just verti-cut the greens this morning, so it was not rolling as fast. The fairways also was cut pretty tight and not as lush as I expected. There were lots of divots mark in the fairways. Seems like the course has gotten a lot of play as of late. The rough was not terribly long. The sand packed more than I would have liked.
All in all, a decent round. Hardly anyone on the course and we were able to finish in around 3hrs as a twosome. At this point, I would probably give the course a couple more weeks and it should be back into pristine conditions.
At this point, I think the Champions course at the Morongo course is a better play. Just my two cents.

I just had the pleasure of playing Front 9 of Champions and Front 9 of Legends on 5/16 as a twosome. First, I would like to definitely give props to management for bringing this golf course to where it is today. I played about 1 year ago, when the new management was in its early stages...and the courses were horrible. Weeds throughout, bunkers sucked, and the greens were compromised. It has definitely come a long ways. To preface, we started out on Champions course, but the back 9 looked back kind of backed up (it wasn't that bad but we were impatient) so we jumped on Legends front 9. Champions was in a lot better shape (bunkers have fresh new sand), but overall, the course was great. Twilight for around $30 can not be beat.
Service: I did see a cart boy out in the parking lot, but I ended up carrying my own bags. Everyone seemed friendly enough. My only gripe would be that they use to offer free range balls with your round, now you have to buy it. However, their practice facilities are really nice. Grass range with lots of flag pins. Big chipping area. And two large putting greens.
Tee box: Mostly nice and level.
Fairway: Best shape in a long time. Champions course was a tad nicer and lusher...still some brown spots here and there, but not bad at all
Rough: maybe 2.5 to 3 inches, and mostly uniform
Greens: supposedly aerated about 4-6 weeks ago. Legends was first, but got sanded today. Still rolling well and not terribly bumpy at all. Champions was in a tad better shape.
Bunkers: Champions got fresh sand in most of their bunkers and it was nice to hit out of. I was in 1 bunker on Legends and it was rock hard. Per Maintenance workers, they will be addressing Legends' bunkers soon.

All in all, a great round and value. Will definitely come back and reintroduce it into my rotation (Oak Quarry, Oak Valley, and Soboba)...

Played as a twosome on 5/9. Finished in 4.5 hrs. Course is as good condition as it can be. Sucks that they don't have a driving range to warm up on. Putting green is way slower than actual greens.
Service: decent, what you would expect in a $ course.
Tee box: sort of level...not bad
Fairways: as good as it will probably get. Green for the most part.
Greens: pretty good conditions. Ball rolled pretty well and at a decent pace.
Sand: hard and packed.

All in all, was a decent round considering the great value that we got. Would only go if there was another Killer deal. Too many elevation changes for my taste.

Played here as a single on 4/24. I was first out at around 6:30 and it was great. The course is in pretty nice conditions (as always). My only complaint was that on 4 holes on the back 9, the pin was not up. Tough to gauge approach shot when you don't know where the pins are. On a couple of the holes, the maintenance workers finally saw me looking and put them up. Otherwise, it was a good day.

Tee boxes: Mostly level and in good conditions
Fairway: Smooth and in good conditions.
Rough: Not terribly long, but still tough to get out of.
Sand: Hard and packed. Maybe because it was still early
greens: nice and hard. Were not rolling terribly fast, most likely would if it was later in the day.

All in all, course in good conditions.

Played here as a twosome on 4/19 at 9am. Paid $49 (reg price and includes range balls) and think that it was one of the best golf deals that I have encountered. This was my 2nd time playing the course but the first time I had played it in such great condition. The Nationwide tour just came and went about 2 wks ago, and the course is in the best conditions.
Service: Decent, nothing to brag about. Never saw a marshall.
Tee boxes: Level and really nice.
Fairways: Like lush carpet. Very few divots. The nicest fairways (outside of private country clubs) that I have played in.
Greens: for the most part, very good. Smooth and rolling about 10. The back 9 had greens that were in worse conditions. Dry and brown in sections.
Rough: Very thick and deep. They said that they are half the length as they were during the tour. Easily can walk over your ball and not see it. You must avoid the rough!
Sand: Nice and soft

All and all, and very enjoyable round. There were some slow play ahead, but we still finished in under 4 hrs. If you can make the trip out, try to play it while it is in this type of conditions.

Played as a foursome on 4/10 at 7:08am. There is a special Mon-Thurs before 8am for $49. This is a great rate for this beautiful course. They are about 5 wks post reseeding and the course is in spectacular condition.
Service: Great! Help with your bags immediately once you enter parking lot.
Tee box: Level
Fairway: Nice conditions. Hardly any bare spots
Rough: Not terribly deep but still tough to get out of in some spots
Green: No signs of reseeding. smooth and rolling around 10. Tough pin placement that day.

All in all, a must play (esp if you can get out early and take advantage of the deal).

Braved the rain and played 3/25 as part of a church outing. Aside from the weather, all was great.
Service: great until we got to the first tee. I had asked ahead of time if they needed a pairing list, and they said just have people pay and head to the first tee when our group was called. We were called well before our tee time (12:30pm) and that was great. Except the starter didn't seem to have a clue. He kept radioing back to ask how many people paid. I asked if he wanted the receipts, at first he said no, then he changed his mind. I felt he was sort of rude and was kind of accusing us of not paying...other than that, service was good.
Tee box: very lush and level. In great shape
Fairways: Like carpet. Very few unrepaired divots. All in all, very very good shape.
Rough: Long and sort of tough. Very nice though
Bunkers: in decent shape.
Greens: Probably the worse part because they just punched in about a week ago. Before the rain started coming down, it was pretty fast and bumpy. No shots would hold. Then the rain came and slowed them down a bit.

All in all, the course was in really really nice conditions.

I got very lucky to be able to play the South Course today (3/15) as it will close to the public on 3/16 to get ready for the Kia Classic LPGA. This was my first time playing it. The course was in really really great condition (as you can imagine). There were workers everywhere getting it ready.
Layout: IT is a resort layout with nothing really special about it
Practice facility: Nice range (mat only) but you have to pay $10 if you are not playing that day
Tee Box: The most level and lush tee boxes I have played on
Fairway: Lush Carpet. Not a lot of divot marks.
Rough: Very deep and tough to get out of.
Sand: For the most part, soft and in great shape
Green: Rolled very well. Not terribly undulated and should be fairly easy for the LPGA

The Champions course did not look nearly as nice as the South. They are supposedly growing out the grass there and are hoping for a PGA stop in the near future.

Try to get out and play the South course in a couple of weeks. Should still be in great condition.

I had at the absolute pleasure of playing this private course (I believe I am the first official review) as part of a site visit. The course is only open to the private gated community and the resort guests.
Overall- this was one of the nicest golf experience that I have had. From the golf carts (cloth covered seats) to the practice facility (ProV1 golf balls at the range), you will truly experience a top notch private country club vibe. As a resort guest, you automatically are required to use a forecaddie. This was a great experience (first time) and made the round more fun.
Course- The layout is absolutely beautiful. No parallel fairways and each hole with a great view.
Greens- Not the fastest but the ball rolled well. No visible divot marks
Fairway- Smooth and in great condition
Traps- soft and in perfect condition

I cannot say enough about my experience there. IT is pricey ($200+) and req a stay at the Grand Del Mar. But that resort is well worth the visit. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend it!

Had a 7:16 tee time on 2/8. Course played at a decent pace (finished in 4hrs). The course was in decent conditions. Only complaints were that the greens were a tad bumpy (compared to the prev times I played there) and the sand traps were packed on a few holes. Also the wind kicked up at around 10:00 and made the last 5 holes pretty darn tough. Otherwise the fairways were in pretty good condition as were the tee boxes.

Tried to play this course on 1/21 as a foursome because we heard a lot of great things. However, winds kicked up tremendously (upwards of 30+mph) and we were only able to finish 6 holes...Here are my two cents...
Service: Awesome. They are one of the few courses that offer (you have to ask about it) car service from the strip. IT is approx 30 mins to get there and would cost around $100 if you hire a car. However, they will give you a number to a car service and will pick up the tab. We complained about the wind and they gave us a rain check.
Tee box: Great condition and level
Fairways: Nice, green and lush.
Greens: smooth and fast.
Rough: Did not appear long, but would really grab a hold of the club

From the 6 holes that we played, this course looks beautiful and I would definitely come back and play it. The layout was really interesting and the view was great as well.

Played on Jan 2nd, my first round there in a while. Had tee time for 8:07, but didn't get off until 8:20. Other than that, the round was near perfection. The course was pretty crowded due to the holiday, but we still finished in 4:40.
Tee box: nice and level
Fairway: in pretty decent conditions. Fair share of un-repaired divots, but balls still rolled and bounced well.
Rough: not terribly long but still challenging
Traps: for the most part, good hale. I saw them adding sand to some of them
Green: in great condition. Speed was pretty fast, but held shots nicely.

All in all , another fun round the Quarry.
