Played on 9/30 and what a total waste of gas, time, and money. This course was always easy to play, but the conditioning made it fun and enjoyable. New ownership is running this track into the ground, or letting nature take it back. If you receive email specials from them don't believe the claims of excellent greens and fairways, due to no overseeding, etc. I think they just want to shave their overhead. Many tee boxes were dirt, with very sparse grass growth. Fairways were very patchy, will something that was sodded but in a checkerboard fashion. Some areas would be lush others very close by would be chopped to pieces. Greens are okay, but this place has sure gone downhill since the new owners took over. I dislike Diamond Valley's tricked up layout, but would play there before here until they decide they want a good course. To bad too, this used to be a nice alternative or change of pace from Diamond Valley or Soboba Springs.

Played on 10/03 first time in many years on the South. Not since they lost of their trees. The fairways are in much better condition due to the tree loss, but it sure has had a negative impact on the character of this great ole track. All fairways on front nine are now easy targets, defense is only found in the length of the holes and tee boxes you play from. White tees were at about 6700 yards and that was plenty for us older guys. If you drive the ball like us, about 220-240 these are the boxes to play from. If you are one of those that think your 240 yard drive is really 270+ you will be in for a long difficult day playing from the blue tees (7000+yards). There are (5) par fives on the track, and most should be easy par or birdie opportunity. Only number 8 is hard to hit in regulation, requiring 3 very well struck and directed shots. Greens are fair, not real large, and roll medium, play attention on how they roll on the first couple of greens and you will get the info necessary to figure out the predominant tendency; break and speed; for all the greens on the South course. Price is okay, but you must play early or expect to be on the course more than 5 hours after you tee off. An older layout with moderate fairways, small greens, and some remaining trees to avoid. A real nice mix of holes, all par threes play differently and require wise club selection.

Played on 09/28 and found course in very good condition. The price of $32.00 for all you can play and a free drink was well worth the drive to Hesperia. The greens were receptive and rolling very well, medium fast. This is a classic course design, tree-lined fairways, small greens, choices available for approach shots to the greens. Very good variety of holes, use every club and will only have yourself to blame if you score higher then expected. Good scores can be had if you can stay out of the trees and find the small greens. Insider info is all the greens going out are fast in direction of proshop, all greens on back nine roll fast away from proshop. This also effects all breaks you might try and read. Really good course and one of our favorites.

Played on Saturday, 09/09, for the first time. It is a wide open course, very generous fairways, a few trees, and very flat. The greens were smooth mostly, a few a little bumpy, but nothing to really complain about. The coupon in Southern California Golf Magazine lets all in your group play free, only $10.00 per player for cart fee. It is about the same distance from my area as Landmark Hemet and closer than Diamond Valley. To pass up this deal is borderline ridiculous, heck a large bucket of balls at the range averages 8-10 bucks. It is great track for beginners, can hit driver or whatever and not lose many balls. The only defense the course has against the better player is the tiny greens. If you have ever played Santa Anita you will know what I am talking about. The average green here is about 1/2 the size of the one found at most newer courses. For 10 bucks, the company and the beautiful day this was a hard round to find fault with, oh maybe my score, but what the heck. Get the coupon and take a drive, until the greens get punched it is way worth the time and cost.

Great golf course conditioning, very fair challenge, excellent rate for seniors during the week. Must play if you love the game

Played on 8/09 and golf course was in very good condition. Greens were excellent, fairways were lush, some bunkers were very hard packed, others were great. Some tee boxes, maybe four were hard to find a level spot on, but since they are large it can be found. With Red Dot special ($40.00/each) this is a course that has to played and played often. Summer senior rate is $45.00 and includes range balls and a hot dog and drink. Great layout, great location (no housing to deal with), very conditioning, and free range balls, what is not to like. A must play while it is in such great shape.

Senior rate of $35.00 is a good bargain. The course is well maintained and interesting enough to test your game. Fairways are very generous and run fairly fast. The course's first line of defense is its greens. They putt true, though can be bumpy due to extreme heat and excess watering, but they are tricky. They look straightforward but have so many subtle breaks around the hole they will drive you bonkers. From 5 feet in they break so much it is easy to miss the short ones. You won't see the break, these greens need to be played often if you want to score well. Bunkers have very heavy sand and require a good aggressive swing to escape and have a chance to save par. Nice course and value, greens are wicked.

Golf course was in very condition, despite apprehension due to a lot of the feedback I had read here. Course in as good condition as it was 2 or 3 years ago. Greens are very soft, I mean very soft, but they roll true and are medium fast. This is one of the best golf courses around, when it is in good condition. If you like a more traditional layout, with tree lined fairways, good bunker placement, ability to play a variety of shots to get on the green and close to the hole, this course will fit the bill. Very challenging golf course for all level of player if the right tee boxes are used. Double digit use white, single use blue, single long ball hitter could play black, but for anybody else it would be a mistake and unfair to the group behind you. A nice surprise and a good bargain, additional bonus is to play golf under a bright blue sky.

Except for the wetness on most of the fairways, course was in its usual very good to excellent condition. These two courses and the one across the freeway are the best in area, including further south in Palm Springs/La Quinta. The 4th of July special price of $17.76 was not only worth it, it was unbelievable. Place was totally packed but a 6:30AM tee time helped us avoid it. It was wall to wall players by 11:00 when we were finishing. Special through at least the end of July is a $5.00 replay, making this the most outstanding bargain in all of Southern California. Just do yourself and the others behind you a favorite and don't let your ego bite off more than you can handle, Unless you are a single digit handicapper and can drive the ball at least 270-280 play blue or white tee boxes. Double digit players stay on white tees and enjoy an excellent golf course that will challenge all your skills and clubs.

Course was in very good shape, though the greens were a little bit to soft. Po-anna greens made for some slow putts due to the early heat, almost 90 by 9:30. As the round progressed the greens, meaning the poa, got more bumpy, but not enough to really complain about. With a discount this is a great track, not too long but very challenging and fair. Can see all trouble from the tee box so if you get in trouble it is your fault. Nice mix of par 4s and the par 3s are very difficult, par is a very good score. Really enjoy playing here, one of the best in the area.

Course is in very good shape, and with email special of $45.00 prime time weekend, is a great deal. A long drive but worth it. Course is very forgiving and playing from the proper tee boxes all but the worst hacker will enjoy it.

Even with discounted rates condition of greens makes this a maybe during the week. Would never pay the weekend rate no matter what course condition. Okay but not exciting layout, wide open, bombs away. Like most Robinson Jr. tracks built around a housing complex.
