Played today with the GolfNow Caddy Deal. 7:21am tee time and no one was in front of use. The round took about 3.5 hours. The course was in immaculate shape! Everything was perfect. Top notch Pro Shop and restaurant. Driving range was like hitting off carpet, with balls in nice pyramid stacks. Tee boxes were flat, nicely cut, and undamaged. Fairways were some of the best I've ever played. Greens were hard and fast. Reminded me of greens on Angeles National and Rustic Canyon (when they're in tops shape). The rough was lush and not dormant like the last time I played it. There was only a light breeze, and every single hole was gorgeous. This was probably the best experience I've had outside of Pebble. I'll be back again next year when they run the promotion again.

Played today as the 2nd group out. The course was in fantastic shape. Tee boxes were flat and undamaged for the most part. Fairways were lush, nicely cut, and there were no dry or brown spots anywhere. The rough is typical of I.H., nicely cut and taller than most courses. Balls in the rough could be very tough to find, so keep your eyes on it when your ball misses the fairway. The bunkers had good sand (not to the point of fluffy) in them and were consistent through the course. The greens have pretty much recovered from aeration, but are still on the slow side. However, they did roll true, and there were very little divot damage.

The Valley course is the longer and more straight forward of the 2. Good customer service. They tend your bag as you arrive and the Starter will lead you to the first tee and offer you tees, markers, and wet towels. The tee boxes were flat but had good amount of damages to them. However, you won't have any issue looking for a good spot to hit from. The fairways were lush and didn't have any brown spots or thin area. The rough surrounding the fairways were dormant and very dry. Some areas had decent lies, but others were very thin. Huge contrast between the fairways and the rough. The greens were still recovering from aeration. They were bumpy and slow. Pace of play was great. Finished 2 rounds in about 7 hours.

Given the choice, I believe Mountain is in better shape now. At lease until they aerate the greens there as well.

Played my first GreenSkeeper event today and had a blast. Thanks JohnnyGK!

The course was in great shape. Shooting one of my best rounds didn't hurt either. Tee boxes were flat. The par 3s had some damages but they were filled with nice green sand. I can see the people here care about the condition of the course. Fairways were nice and lush, with very few brown spots and wet areas (rain from the day before) that didn't come into play. Rough was nicely cut and well maintained. The bunkers were consistent and filled with fluffy sand. Greens were close to immaculate. They were receptive to shots, rolled true, and on the fast side. I played the round in the afternoon, and the bunkers and greens were still well kept. People actually rake the sand and fix their ball marks here!

The service from curb to the end of the round was fantastic. Free valet parking, complimentary cookies, bottled water, tees, markers, and divot tools. Wet towels were also readily available. The starter and marshals were friendly and informative.

There was one small annoyance which didn't affect the rating I gave. About 6 holes were cart path only. It was the same (different holes) the last time I played here. I'm guessing they do that to keep the fairways in top shape.

Still one of my favorite courses. Played 3/2 and brought 2 friends who played it for the first time. They were absolutely blown away and swore to be back soon. Service was top notch from parking lot pickup to the club cleaning and ride to your car after the round. I'm SO glad they've kept up the level of service over the years. Nothing else around here offers experience even close to it.

The course was in great shape. Tee boxes were flat and undamaged. The fairways were LUSH with no brown or thin areas. It was almost like waking on carpet. The greens were slightly disappointing compared to the rest of the course. They were a bit inconsistent. The first few greens were on the slow side and had some bumps, but the rest were smooth and quicker. The most surprising part of the course were the bunkers. This course is usually plagued by thin bunkers with not much sand (my experience anyways). However, there were a ton of fluffy sand on Saturday! My buddy chunked a bunker shot, the ball flew 2 feet in the air and actually came down and created a fried egg. That was how fluffy they were. I played here and Sierra Lakes this weekend. I would say Oak Quarry is in better shape between the 2.

The course was in good shape. I believe they were in the process of healing the tee boxes. On a few of the holes, all color tees were placed in the front tee. As a result, the course played quite short. I did teed off from the usual blue tees and was mindful of not creating any damage. Fairways were good. There were some brown areas, but didn't come into play. The greens were in great shape. They were on the fast side and rolled true. However, there were a LOT of ball marks. I was fixing at least 5 per green and there were still plenty more. C'mon people! I can tell the greenskeepers were trying their best though. On the old ball mark damages, they used green sand (or maybe a spray?) to fill them. Their attention to detail was obvious.

Played 2/23. Pretty typical muni course. Tee boxes were OK, some were heavily damaged. Fairways were decent with a small amount of dirt and bald spots. Greens were bad. They looked decent, but the roll was VERY bumpy. Wind picked up in late morning, but it wasn't too bad.

This course has a LOT of sloping fairways, be mindful of that and plan your drives properly. Often times, the middle of the fairway won't be the right spot to aim. Overall, the course proved challenging and interesting. However, the condition of the greens was pretty bad.

Skipped out of work early today and teed off at 3:15pm as a single. $13 for green fee and $14 for the cart. The course was completely empty due to the rain earlier in the day and the overhanging rain cloud. Ended up raining for 2 holes, but the rest of the round was nice and dry. Ended up finishing 18 in just under 2 hours! That was the best part about the round.

Tee boxes were pretty beat up. What grass they had were very thin. Fairways were decent, with a few brown/dirt spots. The greens were inconsistent. A few were OK, most others (#4 was the worst) were in very bad shape with dirt spots showing and bumpy. Rough areas next to the fairways were pretty thin, but were decent in the areas around the green. Overall condition was better than Alhambra, but still no where close to its peak shape.

Looks like this course has quite a few recent reviews and my experience was fairly on-par with others. I'm going to put in my .02 anyways.

Played 2/2 around 9am. Got out just before a couple of tournaments. 3 some in front were beginners, but didn't have a problem with pace until the back 9. As others rated, the course was in great shape and I loved the layout. Tee boxes were flat, lush, and even cut into nice square shapes. Fairways were lush with a few brown spots that didn't come into play at all. Greens were hard and on the quick side. Some of the greens did have a good amount of divot damage, but didn't bother me.

Quick advice about the restaurant. Avoid at all cost! We had a bad breakfast and the worst chicken tenders ever. The chicken tenders were SO salty it almost killed us. The service in the pro shop was personable and we felt welcomed by the staff.

Overall, great course and experience. It's a long drive, but we will return.

Caught an afternoon round here. First time playing here in almost a year. The newly remodeled pro shop was very nice. However, the course was a different story. Tee boxes were mostly thin and badly damaged with the exception of a few in lush shape. Fairways were largely thin with bald area everywhere. Greens were rolling decently but were fairly slow. Lots of unrepaired ball marks. Excessive even for the afternoon. Bunkers were inconsistent. A handful of them were full of sand and fluffy, but most were hard packed.

I do enjoy playing this short little course. You don't need to pull out the driver in most holes and I usually get a good chance to work on my scoring game. It's a busy muni, so I never expect much in terms of condition. But it was poor even for what it is.

Played 1/20 with the GroupGolfer deal. The greens were LIGHTNING fast. Definitely the fastest I've ever experienced here. There were a bit of brown areas in the fairway, but they played just fine.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in great shape. The customer service was fantastic as always. The only complaint I had were the bunkers. There was very little sand in them.
