Very nice course with a great practice area. Good and challenging layout. Pretty flat with minimal elevation changes. Tee boxes were lush, flat, and undamaged. Bunkers were consistent and had plenty of sand. The fairways were recently punched with good size holes that impacted lies. They were also VERY dry with some hardpan ares. A good drive will roll and go a long way on these firm fairways. Greens were close to immaculate. They were smooth, undamaged, and everything rolled true.

Service was top notch. The starter was friendly and the cart girl came around at least couple of times per 9.

I REALLY want to rate this course higher since it's one of my favorite tracks and I had a wonderful time, but I have to try to stay consistent in my ratings. The course was pretty much wide open and POP was great and we ended up replaying. Lady at the snack shop told me they've been slow for a couple of weeks. Weather was great for this time of the year, probably in the mid to high 80s.

Tee boxes were mostly flat, with moderate amount of damages. There were large bald/dirt areas on almost every fairway. They were not marked as "under repair". I don't know if it was my luck or if the GK did a decent job, but the bad spots never came into play for me. If you could avoid the damaged areas, the rest of the fairways were lush and perfect. A lot of the rough areas were thin and we could see the dirt underneath. Green side bunkers needed a lot more sand. The greens were the best part of the course. They were a little slower than normal for this course, but rolled true and were very smooth.

The condition of the course isn't at its prime now, but still very playable. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play a great track.

Beautiful course in great condition. Great practice facility with both grass and mat hitting areas. Huge putting and chipping greens were great as well. Pro shop was set up in a trailer, but it didn't bother me. I rather they spend money on the course anyways. Customer service was great. All the staffs were friendly and helpful. Tee boxes and fairways were lush and in top shape. Bunkers were filled with nice sand and consistent throughout the course. The greens were on the quicker side but were receptive. There were a lot of old divot marks that got in the way of putts. This was unfortunate, since the greens would otherwise have been in perfect shape. Fix your divots people! First round just under 4 hours and 2nd round slightly over 4.5. Best replay rate anywhere at $20 with cart.

Man, I REALLY want to rate this course higher than what I'm giving it, but the fairways and rough were just not on par.

Played Sandpiper today after a morning round at Glen Annie. Absolutely loved the layout of this course, especially the back 9, where most of the memorable holes are. The front 9 is pretty flat and straight forward. You get ocean views on about half of the holes, mostly in the back 9. Tee boxes were nice, flat, and largely undamaged. Fairways were very bad. Probably below par of many decent muni courses. Many thin and brown areas. Rough ares were dry and thin. The greens were great. They were quite fast, undamaged, and rolled true. Bunkers had plenty of sand and were consistent. Service of pro shop and staff were top notch.

Some of the ocean view holes on this course were breathtaking. #10-14 was a great stretch of beautiful and interesting holes. Even at its current condition, I still highly recommend this course.

Went out to Glen Annie today even though there wasn't any recent reviews. The course was in good shape with the exception of tee boxes. Most green tees (didn't really pay attention to others) were in very bad shape. Lot of damages, thin, and when there was grass, they were very thick. Fairways were above average. Some brown spots, which wasn't unexpected for this time of year. The greens were rolling true, at just above average speed, and were undamaged. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. There were good amount of elevation changes and many holes with distinct characteristics.

Played here for the first time on 6/23. What a great course!

The club house was absolutely beautiful. Top notch amenities including a nice locker room. Great restaurant with a nice outside patio area. The course was in top shape. Tee boxes were flat but did have some significant damages on the par3s. We didn't have trouble finding grass to hit off of though. Fairways were nice and lush. The rough was cut nicely. The greens were hard and rolled true at a speed of 11 (per the pro shop). The bunkers could use more sand, but they were still very playable. It didn't feel very busy, We had a 3some that teed off about 20 minutes before us and we saw them getting off the greens a few times when we were on the tee box. The group behind us kept pace and was about 1/2 a hole behind. Finished a relaxing round in just over 4 hours.

After a short hiatus from golf, I went back and played Oak Valley this past weekend. The course was in very good shape. This is one of my favorite tracks and it's never crowded (maybe I've been lucky). Tee boxes were level and had very little damage. Fairways were lush and well maintained. Bunkers could use more sand, but were very playable. The greens were not as fast as they normally are at Oak Valley, but they were undamaged and rolled true. Weather was beautiful. Warm but not unbearable, with only a light breeze. There were a couple of hole in the front 9 where you're next to the freeway and you can hear the noise. It didn't bother me. Pace of play was just over 4 hours for a relaxed round. This is just a beautiful course with a couple of holes that are Pete Dye-esque (#11, #16). I would definitely play here more often if it weren't so far from me.

Played 5/5 with a 6:30am tee time. Pace was OK but could be better for such an early round. Had to wait a little on each hole but not enough to bother us. The round took just over 4 hours as a 3 some. The course was in great shape. The tee boxes were flat and only had a few divots. The fairways were nice and lush. Bunkers were as they should be, with fluffy sand in the green side traps and compacted in the fairway traps. The greens showed tiny signs of aeration from a month ago, but only in coloration. They were rolling true with good speed and no bumps. It's not a super tough course and the wide fairways tolerates less than perfect tee shots. Some pin placements were in tough spots, but I understand since they're fairly unprotected. Had a great time and will be back.

Course was in great shape. Grass driving range/practice facility was top notch. Tee boxes were flat and undamaged, fairways were lush, bunkers had good sand in them. The greens still had minor signs of recent aeration but didn't affect the roll. This remains one of my favorite courses. Great track and always well maintained. If you haven't played it, don't hesitate.

The bunkers in this course were great, lots of fluffy sand! Unfortunately, everything else was horrible. The course was dry over all. The tee boxes were beat up and basically dirt patches. The fairways had all kinds of lies from dirt patches, dry hard pans, to a few ares of actual decent grass. The greens were thick, slow, and bumpy. Felt like they haven't cut or mowed it since the aeration a few weeks ago. They were bad even for this course. There's not much option around the area, but if you could play somewhere else, I would highly encourage that right now.

Played Monday 4/22 as a single. Teed off at 7am and got matched up with 2 great guys. Finished under 3.5 hours and did a replay that took just over 4h. Pace was good as expected for a weekday. The tee boxes were perfect. Fairways were good but did have some areas that needed work, especially in areas close to the cart path. The greens were inconsistent between the front and back 9. On the front, there was still minor signs of recent aeration and the greens were bumpy in spots. On the back 9, the greens were much smoother and rolled faster. The bunkers are now once again hard and compacted. They were nice and fluffy about a month ago.

My favorite course within an hour drive from home. Will be back.

Second round of double header today. First being the TPC Stadium. Between the 2, TPC Stadium definitely has an edge in my opinion. Layout at TPC was nicer and holes had more characteristics. However, the condition at the Greg Norma course was fantastic as well. Everything from tee boxes, fairways, and greens were pretty close to perfect. If you haven't played this course, BE WARN! There is no rough if you miss the fairways! Everything off the fairways are HARD dirt areas with very beautiful desert plants that will swallow your golf balls. I imagine that's just one of the course's element. I didn't think it was unfair since this course is much more wide open than the TPC.
