As others have said - fun, relatively easy 9 hole course. Course is in OK shape. Do not expect this course to help you tune up for tournament play. Greens are a little iffy. You can bring the driver out on a couple of holes, or you can leave it in the bag and go with hybrids/long irons. One thing, because of the low cost and so-so condition, there are a lot of hacks out there. I was paired with a guy who used his driver on every hole! Very nice guy, but know that this is an attractive beginners course. Bring your sense of humor and enjoy a beer!

Had time for a quick 9 this morning and stopped at HP. Was pleased with the conditions. Fairways good with very little patchy areas. Bunkers in good shape. Greens were rolling very well and that is always the key issue here. But not today and hope they can keep them that way. Tee boxes need a little help but overall they were acceptable. And the best part was, I went off 5 minutes upon arrival and finished in 2 hours. A lot depends upon time of day here but I will give props for the course condition. So don't avoid here if you think conditions will be bad.

I don't really expect a lot from this course. It's my fall back when I need a quick fix of golf. And for that it suits me just fine.

I don't really expect a lot from this course. It's my fall back when I need a quick fix of golf. And for that it suits me just fine.

Greens bumpy. Does not hold its line. Fairways are in decent shape. You get a mix of thin and lush lies. Rough is thick Kikuyu grass in places. Kikuyu around skirts of greens will grab at your ball. Sand in bunkers are stocked but like the fairways you get a mix of hard packed, thinly veiled sand and fluffy sand. Tee boxes are rotated well so you get a relatively flat lie.

As I mentioned I really don't have high praise for this course but in a pinch it serves its purpose well enough. You can really score on this course since it offers reachable par 5s and interesting par 4 holes.

Now would I play here again? I guess the answer is obvious. I would prefer to play other courses but where can you get on and finish just 9 holes midday?

Played yesterday in the wind. Great time to practice a knock down shot. Greens still SLOW and BUMPY. Just aim in the hole's direction, hit the ball and pray it reaches the hole. Rough around greens is thick. Fairway rough is OK with bare spots. Fairways in decent shape -- thin but playable. Sand in bunkers is a mixed back. Some hard packed others with little sand in the bunkers.

Pace of play due to weather (windy) was a brisk 1 hour 30 mins for 9 holes. For the price and what you get... definitely the course in my price range. Certainly better conditions here than say... Victoria :D And that isn't saying a lot but definitely golf is still golf. You hit the ball you chase the ball. Rinse; repeat.

For what it's worth this is my second home course. Great to play to get that Golf bug fixed and given my time schedule... worth the meager investment to play.

Pace of play was OK for Harbor -- Slow but moving. Fairways in decent shape. Bunkers have a little bit of sand in them. Tee boxes were flat for the most part.

Now if only they were to combine the fairways of Harbor with the Greens of Victoria .... it would be bliss but alas not to be. One can dream though. Would I play here again? Only if I am desperate for a game of golf. Otherwise I would have spent better money at say Westchester or Chester Washington.

Went today for a quick nine and indeed it was. 2:15 to play 9 in great conditions. Both weather and course. Fairways, greens are in excellent condition at this moment. Was not in sand but noticed those who were had no difficulty. Greens were receptive, rolling great and devoid of marks. Fairways were rolling and providing very good lies. Rough was up along the fairways but looked to have been taken care of. As many know this course can be in bad condition, take a long time to play but that was not the case today. I hope these conditions continue to be the norm.
