The service is great here and the course is in decent shape. This is a good place if you have plenty of time to kill and little money to spend. The layout is tight but if you can master your long irons and hybrids off the tee, pars are easy to fetch. You will see plenty of 5-some and many ladies out there so ready to spend well over 4 1/2 hrs here. This course is shorter compare to Diamond Bar but you will have more fun here. DB is getting out of control with beginners.

First time playing here on 6/22/2008. Interesting layout with many elevation changes and a few blind shots factoring into course management. Definitely a course that requires a bit of local knowledge to play well. Greens were in great condition, a bit bumpy but overall pretty fast. Tee boxes and fairways could use some work. Bunkers really need an overhaul. Not much good sand in there and a lot of clumpy dirt. Pace of play was very slow on the back nine, stretching it out to about a 5.25 hr round. Would probably come back on a cooler day when its less crowded.

Played on monday @ 6:45. Course marshall was already getting on a group of people ahead of us about hitting when ready. After that we did not have to wait to hit a shot. Course was in nice shape and the greens are in the best shape I've seen them in a long time. If your going to play this course I suggest you tee off early, otherwise good luck finishing!

Played in a tournament on Saturday, 4/12/08, on an unusually hot sunny day with only light breezes. I usually avoid this course because of its reputation for slow play, but needed the tourney score for my index. Course lived up to billing – crushingly slow pace with no evident effort by staff to speed things along. Walkers, 5-somes, whatever, allowed at MM, so it doesn’t matter, everyone waits. Started 45 minutes late (staff said ‘reservation mistake’!), then round took 6 hours! Kill me, please!! That’s unfortunate, because the course was in very good shape throughout (although many blue tees weren’t very level, and bunkers were sometimes wet and thin). This course is unusual for a public access course in SoCal because of the sometimes severe slopes and elevation changes, elevated and perched greens, and lots of sand and large trees. Back nine much more challenging than the front because of these conditions. This may contribute to the slow play – if you have these types of firm sloping fairways where balls run long distances into trouble, you need to at least put strips of rough or sand at the collection points, so people don’t spend 10 minutes hacking through the waste and bushes looking for lost balls. But the staff doesn’t seem to care – the last time I played here I complained about a 3-hour front nine and was told ‘that’s pretty normal’ on weekends. So I can’t recommend the course, and I won’t be back if I don’t have to have the round.

The course played as quickly as I can remember, just under 5 hours, which is totally unacceptable, but given this place is usually even slower than that, it was tolerable. The greens were way too bumpy and the tees were uneven and had many bare areas, otherwise the course was in the best shape I've seen it. This course has potential if the condition would be improved and a couple of holes (5, 10, 11) would be modified, because there are elements about each of these holes which are unfair.

cool course. its in good shape but i think they're aerating the greens pretty soon. fairways are kinda so-so but okay. the greens look great i don't know why they are aerating them.

Played this course last week with Swing18 and Thingstodo. Just a comment but this course plays SLOW!!! I mean it was ridiculous. A twosome ahead and they waited for the fairway to clear to tee off. It was ridiculous. Well the stop/start wreaked havoc on my game so I was fairly peeved. To top it off we didnt even get to finish the 18. It was dusk as we hit 17. Now for course conditions. Greens were soft and a little slow. But green speed was different/inconsistent from hole to hole. The holes with higher eleveations or sitting on a mound ran a lot faster than the bowl shaped greens. Fairways were green. Not too much wear and tear. Traps and I saw a lot of them were in good shape. Rough was trecherous. Stay out of it. Almost as bad as playing El Dorado on a Friday.

Played on Sat 04/05. This course has great layout. I always enjoy this course. Pace will be slow because so many people comes here. We were delay 30 minutes to tee off. Overall fairways and greens are decent. Speed on the greens are about normal. Back nine has more interesting layouts and challenging shots. Great course! I give 7.0 GK rating.

Enjoyed playing this course because of the different elevation changes, lie angels and the challenge of the tees ... If you don't hit your ball in the right place it could cost you a stroke or two..For $35 with a cart during the week you can't beat it...

Played here 3/31/08. Started off with excellent treatment in the pro-shop and then blew through 18 in just over 4 hours. Fairways and traps are in perfect condition. A few tee boxes had a couple of bare spots but overall this course was in the best condition I have seen it. A great value for $35 w/cart

great course. always in good shape. Gotta say customer service seems to be a little scetchy but that seems to be the standard at all american golf courses. A few holes in on the back 9 are a little wet, but good day in all.

Played 1-2-08

Greens: Fast but bumpy,--which makes putting "lucky-at-best".
Fairways: Too thin and spotty. Hole #3 had more divots than grass.
Tee boxes: Very nice.
Rough: None to talk about. I don't think there was a blade of grass over 1" long on the whole golf course.
Bunkers: Very nice sand and playable.

Layout: Since there was hardly any substantial grass anywhere, even good drives are running through the fairways into the tree lines,--especially on the front nine. Very slanted fairways made certain holes more like a carnival ride than a golf hole. I like courses that reward you for good shots and this one will (on a lot more than one occasion), punish you. Because of all of the un-hittable fairways, pace of play is well over 4-1/2 hours. We played as a fivesome and we waited on over half of the tee boxes for the threesome in front of us. Not really their fault, but more the golf course's fault.

Summary: I'll wait for the springtime grass to come back before I do.

Another note: The starter/ambassador (older Asian fellow) was very nice.

*Played here on Dec 19th 2007*

TEES: The boxes were beautiful, even lies and hardly any broken tees lying around. This is a tough track to play from the blue tees, especially in cold weather.

FAIRWAYS: We played "lift, clean, and place" rules with our group of guys since it was drizzling, which was great because it scared most golfers away. We didn't have a group behind us until a two-some caught up around the 10th hole and we let them through. Well, back to the fairways, they were pretty nice with hardly any divots or unfair lies.

GREENS: The greens were a little slow due to the rain, but they still maintained their roll on most holes. They were probably an 8 on the stimpmeter, most break away from the mountain on the North.

STAFF: This is probably the only thing that deters me from this course, the starter must have "short-man syndrome". He's very cocky, rude, and tries to talk to you like your a little kid. He tried to elucidate that the course was wet and ergo carts would not be tolerated on the fairway...and I quote, "I will have the marshall take the key from your cart and you'll be walking the rest of the course". They need to teach this guy people skills, since he obviously has none.

OVERALL: Again, fun track wish I would have played better but had a lot of fun with the guys, especially OSCA1961. I would rate the course at a solid 8.0, but I'm sure the pace of play was not a true condition of this course due to the rain.

Played 11/23 Friday. Course is in very good shape. This is very fun course to play. Lots of changes of elevation. Back nine is especially fun from hole 13 ~ 15. I think hole 13 is the signature hole for this course, long par 3 with hazard to the right. Greens are normal to fast on some greens. Many ball marks. Had to fix many ball marks on every hole. Please fix your ball marks. Bunkers are in decent shape. I give GK rating of 7.5.

Good course, you must drive straight and long to have a easy shot at par. Didnt find one trap that was raked and i found most of them. The mens club didnt seem to care that anyone else was there, main bunker offenders.. plus if you hit it in the rough, there is a good chance that someone is going to take it if you dont rush to it. I personally watched three different people pick up my ball before we could get to it. Other than that it was a great day.

A local course for me, got out early Sunday AM for a quick back nine, And boy was it quick! Done by 8:30 am. I won't do it again anytime soon. Two of us walked,a pretty hilly course, but felt ok afterward, I need the exercise. I do not recommend the early AM back nine special they have here, mainly because of the sun right in your eyes the last four holes. Couldn't see a thing, and it is hard to follow through your swing when you know you are going to be blinded when you look up at your shot. The greens were rolling nice and fast. The tee boxes, almost cannot call them tee boxes, were the worst! Cannot comment about the sand, never experienced it. nice course at a different time of day.

Two things first: For a Mid-city LA resident this track is about 38 miles away which is not too bad if going against the incoming or outgoing traffic. Also for a 62 year old walker carrying his own bag this is quite a hike, especially on the back. So the first questions are these, was the drive worth it and was the walk worthwile and the answer to both is most definitely yes! There are a lot of sharpish doglegs, some blind and with severe elevation changes so it's valuable to be playing with someone who knows the course. I walked on today around 8:00 and was grouped with 2 guys who played there regularly and we were off around 8:45. Pace was slow. We waited on every tee and a lot in the fairways. The course has a number of interesting holes and lots of variety in elevation changes. There are some fabulous vistas of the smoggy mountains as well as the State fairgrounds, race track and airport of Pasadena. I would now rate this along with La Mirada, Santa Anita and Los Verdes as the best LA County courses. My only complaint is that having hit in several bunkers, none had been raked. The sand was good, but they were lumpy with lots of day-old footprints as well as some deer prints. I was whipped after walking 18 here, but after a couple of cold ones and some good fish & chips I headed back to the city feeling pretty good with some fine golf memories.

If Americans in general would think others more it would not have taken over 5 hours to play today. A weekday no lesss! Please people repair ball marks and rake traps! It is not hard. The course has a great layout. Too bad the tee boxes are unlevel and the greens are bumpy. I will not play here for a while. Golf would be more enjoyable if people cared about etiquette. Now that that is off my chest I'll sleep tonight.

Played Monday 7/30. Had a 7 AM tee time, got out at 6:45. Course was in real good shape, they were mowing the fairways so some of them had cuttings but not bad. Some had divot damage that was not repaired. Greens were fast with lots of ball marks, my fousome was fixing 8-10 on each hole, some were old, and some from the idiots in front of us, could not contact the marshal to complain because he kept cruising by us. Sand traps had good sand, but again lots of footprints, some old (had been watered down by the sprinklers), some from the earlier tee times, and again the idiots in front of us. We played in 4 hrs but could easily have been 3.5 hrs if those in front played quicker.

We played friday 1pm tee time approx. Our 5some got all the way through in just about 4 hours. Excellent pace of play.

Tee boxes had normal usage for a muni course. some needed to be leveled a bit, but the most part were decent.

Fairways were pretty good. didnt notice any bare spots and the grass is growing nicely.

Greens were very fast. Few ball marks every here and there. They rolled pretty true. Excellent for a muni

traps were very good to my suprise.

Overall i liked the course a lot. very challenging with some narrow fairways and is very hilly. Excellent view. was a very fun day of golf and will definitely play here again.

Can be very slow play. Never seem to get any help from "ambassadors".
Course is fun to play (layout) 10th hole is not fair. There is a large tree blocking approach shot to green. Most challenging par three ever on 13.
Then you are rewarded by two downhill holes in a row.

Played sat.noon 3/24/07 after long time here.I think yellow/brown dead turf season has ended .Good green spring color everywhere.Paying $40 for weekend golf no other same category courses could compare with this.Talking about only layout M.M. compete easily with courses of $60-80 green fee.Lots of elevation changes, variable doglegs, strategical tree position & some water & natural hazards form a good 18 holes of golf course.Greens awaiting aeration like others little bit shaggy & bumpy but rolling true medium speed.Fairways in decent conditions, tee boxes moderately beated up but playable (don't forget this is $40 course with big qty of rounds.)
Today rarely we teed off in time and even pace of play was very good, these 2 things almost never happen here.
But of course I found 1 bad intolerable thing ;pomona raceway...
Race track & golf course just across the street absolutely not match. They were having some motocycle show there with tremendous noise of bike & music .
Exept that very nice track.

The course was alright. However, the customer service was extremely terrible, especially how the Marshall managed the course and the flow of groups. The Marshall kept pushing players to start hitting balls from the tee box, i.e., for a par-5 hole, you should start your tee shot when the previous group was still standing at the 250-yard point on the fairway or for a par-3 hole, when the group was just literally off-the-green.

I unfortunately got hit by the next group at a par-3 hole when I just got off the green. I complained to the proshop staff about how the Marshall did a bad job to manage the flow but the reply from him was not any kind of apology but to argue with us.

I was so disappointed on their customer service and I don't plan on going to this course again.

Consider this is an American Golf managed LA County course. So if you want to play on a weekend, better tee off before daylight, call the week before to make a time, or show up as a single and hook up w/a foursome somewhere along the line. If you're fussy about who you play with, or behind or in front of, don't show up either. Also, if you expect fast efficient service from the snack bar, you're in for a rude awakening. Occasionally during daylight savings time on a weekday you can play here with a memorable experience. The course is usually ok considering the amount of play the greens get. It's not for everyone, but considering location, amount of play, price, and degree of difficulty, if you are desperate, it aint' a bad deal.

Played the course on the 17th of March. The greens and tee boxes were in good shape. The pace of play was slow, but this is usual for this course. Considering this is still winter, the fairways are in good condition. They still need to improve the starter. The older starters are fine, but the younger ones seem to hate it there. I was first on the waiting list and waited and waited. When I asked the young starter what the deal was, he said that he called me and gave me a hated look. I was standing in the front and heard nothing, this time I had to stay inside the pro shop to let him know I was still around. The older starter apologized for his behavior, but the younger guy acted like I owed him an apology. Someone should teach him some golf etiquette. Otherwise, good course to play.

Two words: HATE IT! I hate this course. Now I know why I don't play this course at all. Played it about a year and half ago and was just stupified by how they pack this course with fivesomes... walking fivesomes and the drainage system sucks here as well. Got to play this course again this past Sat. in a tourney... teed off almost 30 mins. late.. tee off time was 10:07, didn't get off until 10:30. Now, why would a golf course, knowing there is a tournament going off at 10:00, let out fivesomes and walkers after a frost delay. It was a 6 hour round and a cold one at that. I'd be surprised if the majority of the tourney players finished. This course is also one of the most unfair layouts I have ever experienced. I curse the designer of this course. Would have great drives, but being that some of the shots off the tee are blind, you have no idea where your ball will end up, until you get there and realize you're behind some tree in the dirt up hill. Every shot feeds left or right, hard to keep it center on most of the holes here. And being that it's been record low temps, the fairways are thin and rock hard and won't hold anything down the middle on sloped fairways. It's a stupid course! I will not return to this course unless I'm up for a torture session. The only benefit of this course are some of the views of the snow covered mountains, but as a golf course... I hate this course.

Somebody finally showed up at 6:25 AM then we had to wait 10 minutes for the computer system to be up and running. Then the guy in the shop has the nerve to be a jerk. Finally got out about 7:00 This is totally unacceptable and not the first time that it has happened (see Xavier's report from Thanksgiving Day). As far as the course goes the greens are pretty good but could be a little quicker. Tee boxes need some work. Don't care for the new sand in the traps as it is too fluffy which left me with at least 4 fried egg lies. I am not asking for a perfect lie but these traps are just plain unfair. Sand needs to be compacted a bit. Overall a good value for the price but American Golf needs to quit hiring these "kids" who are not responsible enough to show up to work on time.

This was my second time playing this course after a company tournament back in Sept. Got to play for $24.50 with GolfNow.com and it was worth every penny. The starter got us out 30 mins. before our tee time, which was nice. Pace of play was spotty but overall good. When we arrived there were about 12 carts lined up at the first hole so we were worried. But by the time we hit a bucket-o-balls and got in the cart they were all gone. The course was in great shape, especially the greens. I have never seen a practice green that pretty before. Very scenic and a great layout. I'll be back since this is one of the few good courses that offer such a good price.

ARRVD AT 4:30AM TO GET ON THE WAITING LIST (THANKSGIVING DAY) STARTER DID NOT SHOW UP TILL 6:10. WITH IN 15 MINS HE HAD 4 GROUPS WAITING TO TEE OFF ON THE FIRST TEE. WITH HIM BEING LATE AND THE FOG IT WAS GOING TO BE A 6 HR ROUND. I WAS FIRST ON THE WAITING LIST AS A SINGLE. NOW THEY DO LET OUT 5 SMS, BUT I WAS NEVER CALLED. AT ABOUT 7:15 I LOOKED OVER TO THE FIRST TEE AND I COUNTED 18 GOLF CARTS WAITING TO TEE OFF. SO I WENT AND JUST PLAYED THE BACK. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE FROM TEES TO FAIRWAYS AND GREENS. MAYBE NEXT TIME THEY WILL PULL THERE HEADS OUT OF THERE $%^ AND SHOW UP ON TIME.

Great course for the money, except very crowded in the weekend, unless you can get a very early tee time.

course was in excellent condition. negatives are: slow play, players please rake sand traps and use proper tees - do not tee off from the blue tees if you are hitting your driver 150 yards, which contributes to slow play

WOW what a bad day here..... I dont think I will ever go back... The staff threr is very rude one person sticks out in my mind. His name is i will try to spell it Zaubi.. What a @#$hole I have never been treated so bad in my life.... I think it is time for me to send an email to American Golf Corp to tell them about this worker. He needs a lesson in Customer Service.. Overall the course has a nice layout and played okay thanks to the jerk in the golf shop.

This was my first time playing Mtn. Meadows. I was pleasantly surprised by the course. Not overly long, but lots of elevation changes and blind shots. You really have to think from the hole back. Greens were in decent shape, as were the fairways. Tee boxes and bunkers weren't so great. Majority of bunkers were very wet with unraked footprints. It'd be nice if they groomed them, but it's a muni. Tee boxes were pretty beat up. Pace of play was great. I'd compare the course to San Juan Hills. It's a deal at $33 with a cart. If you're in decent shape, you could walk it, too. But, it is hilly. I'll definitely go back.

Played on 9-10-06. Course was in great shape. Greens were fast and well taken care of. This course offers a rolling landscape and is very scenic. Pace of play was spotty with some bottlenecks but the marshal was attentive and play resumed back to normal in no time. Overall it was a great place to play and I will definately be back

The golf course is in o.k. shape, but what the f@#$ is up with the pace of play. We teed off at 1pm and did not finish 'til 7pm. First, the golf course allows fivesomes which is terrible. Two, why the heck do golfers who can barely hit the ball play off the blues? Don't get it...

MM is a good course but this course is not for first time golfer. Don't play the course if you are new to the game.
I will avoid this golf course on the weekends - the pace of play is atrocious. I'd rather pay a little more elsewhere knowing that I will finish in less than 6 hours. Play it on the weekdays if you can.

Course conditions are good though.

Played Sat. AM. We had a first timer golfer in our group. Luckily, we had a slow group in front of us and also slow five-som following our group. No pressure at all for the beginner. He was able to hit two balls on most of the tee boxes. No complain about the golf course. Fairways are good and greens are OK. I give the course 6. Good day except my score. Had one of those day where everything didn't work. I went in with an expectation to bring down my handicap but actually bought it up :-(

Played 07/29. Fairways are very good, I give a 8.5 Greens are bit slow but well maintained. Bunkers are decent, didn't have much problems getting out from them. Pace are bit slow... took about 5 hours. Overall great golf course. I always enjoy the course design and love the views. My favorite holes are #13, 14 & 15. Driving a ball down to beautiful fairways... Priceless. To top the day, I had my first Eagle on #8 par 5 hole. I had about 70 yards from the hole and used a sand wedge. Ball went high and bounced 10 inches from the hol and went IN. What a Great Feeling!
Now, I need to work toward to have Hole in One on my resume.

Management greatly improved, course is in very good condition even with the heat. Sand traps could be softer, but not bad. Greens a little slow, slightly bumpy but over all good. Water Coolers on the course would be a big improvement.

Wow...this course is in the greatest condition I have seen it in a while! We teed off today at 2:00 p.m. and finished our round by 5:15 p.m. Can you believe it? Plus, the course conditions are phenomenal. We started on the first tee with a fivesome in front us....wow, that wasn't a great start. However, on the third hole we politely asked the guys in front of us if we could play ahead (we were only a twosome). They politely obliged and the round from there was as smooth as sailing. I have never played at this pace, and I must say it was nice because you could drive up to your ball and without second guessing yourself (which usually happens as you wait for the group to clear the green) you can apply the shot you need with confidence. We really got lucky today as we usually have to wait around on every course, so it was a very pleasant round!

The fairways were nicely trimmed with some areas that were a bit dry, however, with this heat it's bound to happen. The bunkers, both greenside and fairway bunkers had nice fluffy sand and in all scenarios I was able to get it on the green without any problems (as opposed to some dirt found on some other muni courses).

The greens were immaculate. The short grass and fringe around the greens were nicely cut, trimmed enough to give you a nice lie should you happen to miss the greens. I putted off the green several times and was abe to get a nice up and down 60% of the time. When I did find the greens, I found that the ball rolled true with a rating of probably 8 to 9 on the stimpmeter. I hardly found any pitch marks (Kudos for all you golfers who repair your own ball mark and another). What can I say? It was pleasant all the way around today (score was low too).

Great course conditions and the pace of play was outstanding! I wish all courses played at this pace, it would probably reduce the aggravation and frustation involved while waiting for slow players to get off the greens!

Enjoyed the course, lots of hills, lots of elevation changes, some tee boxes made you feel like you were going to drive the ball way past the fairway because you were so high from the fairway. All in all good course, I would definitely go back again.

Played on 7/3 teeing off around 11am and it was brutal. Great course conditions but there were some shmucks out there taking their sweet time hacking away. We arrived to the 4th hole and there were 3 groups waiting on the tee plus our newly arrived group. We called the marshall to complain and things sped up a tad afterward but we waited at least one group for the remaining holes we played. Never could get a good rhythm going as a result. I ended up hitting into 8 different traps and was able to get out on the first attempt on each one due to the quality sand.

I told the wife when I got home to remind me not to play back to back days as you would think you would get better the 2nd day but my score suffered somewhat due to the heat and getting tired towards the latter holes. We ended up only playing 14 holes while taking a solid 5 hours during that time span. Take the others suggestions and make sure you tee off early in the morning if you want to play a "non" annoying round.

The course is a gem and you can't beat the layout for the price either.

I hadn't played this course in five years or so, but the high rating on greenskeeper convinced me to take a ride out there July 3rd. The course condition from tee to green(especially the greens) was really good for a county course...and it was only $28.50 to ride.

The layout has lots of character and there are often elevation changes and wind to factor into club selection.

The downside is that you have to put up with heat and smog, and if you tee off after 7 or 8 you will be looking at a 5 to 5 1/2 hour
round on weekends or holidays.

Played here 7/03/06. Booked a discounted tee time on golfnow.com for $28.50 @ 5:14 AM. It was nice that the LA County courses were not ripping people off by charging weekend/holiday rates today. As for the course, greens were in very good shape. Could have been a touch quicker but rolled very smooth and true. Tee boxes and fairways were also well taken care of. As for the traps, they were mostly puddled after heavy watering during the night due to the heat. Overall a great value for what I paid.

I hadn't played here in more than a few years. Pleasantly surprised. I found great conditons everywhere except the back tee boxes on 16 and 18.

Played the morning of 6/9/2009. Everything was wet from rain the previous night. More like a thich dew(marine layer). Beside everything being wet, which made for little roll in the fairway and slow green speeds(Although the greens are very smooth and I expect that they are really fast when they dry out).

The course it just as great as it was the first time I played it. I have played there many times now.

Maintenance seems to keep thier mower blades running, while your putting and in your backswing, but I guess it forces you to concentrate harder. I can't help but appreciate the maintainance crews there, since they do such a great job of keeping the course in good shape.

The starter let me go right away. It helps playing on a weekday and getting there at 5:30am. I got put behind a couple groups, but was let through and finished my round before 9 o'clock.

I shot 38-38-76 with one double bogey and two bogies, from the back tees, missing every birdie opportunity I had. Made 15 pars!! =)

My Dad and I are going again tommorrow 7:30 ish. We have a tee time for two. Any joiners???

Mountain Meadows is great!!

Have not played here since 2002. the course is in the best condition I've seen it!!! I have played here when it looked pretty pathetic. For whatever reason the pace of play was decent - 4hours - 7 min. Not too bad for an 11:30 tee time. It appears that someone is actually trying to improve this place - nice to see!

Management getting worse. Took over 3 hours to play 9 holes on Thursday. No Marshalls or Ambassadors, complained and quit after 10 holes. Was more or less told to play somewhere else if I wasn't happy with the course. I guess they havce more business than they can handle. ( Asst Manager J. T. Soriano?) told me to give him 3 months to get things improved. He will probably be gone by then.

Played here 5/12/06. Greens are still a few weeks away from recovering from aerating but still rolled OK. Sand traps and fairways were good. Tee boxes need some TLC (bare spots and/or uneven. Still a good value for $33 with cart on a Friday. Finished in just over 4 hours. I prefer some of the LA County (Mountain Meadows, Santa Anita, Diamond Bar) courses over some of the more pricey daily fee venues in the Inland Empire (i.e. Oak Quarry, Eagle Glen). You just get more for your money.

As always, we did enjoyed the Mt. Meadows' lay out. Always interesting course to play. Greens are healing well but still need another two to three weeks. However, greens are faster than what you expected to be. Overall fairways are in good condition. Bunkers are also in good condition. Good day overall - had a free lunch because one of our guys had an Eagle on a par 4 hole.
Well, I am waiting for my own Hole-in-one and Eagle... Coming soon... I hope

This is a risk reward course. It will kick you when your down.If you like a challenge and are tired of boring course design this course is the one. Some blind tee shots mixed with a lay up style on some holes. You won't need your driver on every hole but you must be accurate with your irons.

Played 4/08. I made a tee time for 2 poeple thru the golf-now web site. When I checked in, the started said he didin't have my name on his sheet and that this happens all the time with the online reservations. He was able to get us out in 15 mins. As it turns out the 2 other players in our group had also made reservations thru golf-now and their names were also not on the starters list. Anyways it was VERY SLOW! It took 3 hours to play the front 9. Instead of playing the back 9, we jumped back on the front 9. We finshed the second front 9 in 1 hr. 45 mins. The course is in good shape. The greens are very fast! Warning...they are aerating the course starting 4/10/06. All in all we had a good time, but they could have had a started with a little more people skills.

Played MM on 1/21. Course was in good condition. Tee boxes were a little uneven; some fairways had some barespots; greens were great with very little divot marks. People seem to fix their marks here which is great. Good hilly course. The par 3, 13th is a gem of a hole. Overall, I enjoyed the course. Plus, the low fee makes it even more enjoyable to play. Played 12/26/05 holiday monday reserved tee time at 10;00a.m. They checked in us at 10;10 but when we get at 1st tee we surprised seeing long line of carts of 5 groups ahead of us ! And we finally teed off at almost 11;00. I know this kind of county course you can't never tee off at your reserved tee time(weekend & holiday) but 1 hour of delay I think is ridiculously irresponsable. It has been more than 1 year last time I played here & I checked up my last feed back of this course & was good condition. This time was same. Despite of big quantity of players the course conditions generally was good except some wet muddy part.

Greens were aerated 1 week ago and should be better in another week. They were very bumpy but still held approach shots exceptionally well. Round took well over 5 hours on Sat. afternoon and backed up on many holes... yawn. Otherwise, course is in same shape as last time and all tee boxes have recovered from overseeding 2 weeks ago.

Similar conditions to last time except all tee boxes are being reseeded and allow to play only from women's tees???? Course plays even shorter as a result. Marshall helped to keep things going on this Friday so we could finish in 4 hours. Aside from the tee boxes course is in superb condition --especially for the $28 (w/cart) green fees. A must play for the $$$.

For starters, we were supposed to tee off at 12:20 and we were able to tee off 45 minutes early thanks to the starter (and asking if we could tee off earlier). We teed off as a 2some and were able to finish in just over 5 hours but we skipped the group ahead of us at the turn.

For the first time playing this course, I was impressed with the conditions and the varying hole designs/layout. If I had to say what the worst part was about the course that would have to be a couple of the fairways were patchy or muddy but nothing that really inhibited play. The greens were VERY receptive and held my approach shots well. They also rolled very true. There are many hills and undulations/tight fairways but the course was designed that if you hit a decent drive you will be rewarded with a fairly flat lie. I had no problem with the condition of the sand and the tee boxes were normal for a muni type of course (at least none of them were uneven.

I will definitely play this course again due to the price and overall conditions/layout. I was able to shoot in the mid 80's for my first time out (13 handicapper).

Played Sunday morning and the course was in decent shape. Greens rolled smooth and true. Don't pull tee shot on 10 or you'll have a hell of a time finding it amongst all the stray one stripes. And once again, try as I might , I just can't seem to find the 18th fairway. The tee shot just doesn't fit my slanted eye.

3.75 hr 2some round after leaving snail paced 2some we were paired with. Course was in very good shape. Only complaint would have been overwatered bunkers if we had gotten in any.

Course has mostly recovered from winter damage. Still a few areas that haven't grown back in...new sod hasn't taken over. Like all American Golf courses, seems like white marks for GUR's is too costly to consider. So if you're playing in a real tournament, better be prepared to hit from ugly spots if you're lucky enough to be in what should be considered GUR. Meadow's greens are probably in about the best shape they've been in for years..hopefully general public will keep them that way. Problem continues to be, as it always will be, weekends are a zoo, bunkers never get raked, golfers have no one to blame but themselves here, and 5somes are the rule on weekends. Best bet, join the mens club for preferred tee times, at least you beat most of the rush.

The course has recovered from the damage the rains left. There are a few fairways that are a little less than perfect, but overall a great course to play.

COURSE IS IN HORRIBLE SHAPE. FAIRWAYS ARE DRY WITH A LOT OF DAMAGE ON THEM. EVEN THOUGH THE COURSE IS HORRIBLE SHAPE, THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE PLAYING THE COURSE. TOOK OVER 6 HOURS TO PLAY 18 HOLES. ALMOST EVERY GROUP IS A FIVESOME.

Layout: really interesting, though not long this course is challenging and the rating and slope are both below where they should be. Flying a green is often fatal. Course demands thoughtful and accurate placement to some narrow fairways, severely sloped rough and some well protected greens.

A place to go were it not for the reproachable condition of the course. Newly cut fairway drainage underseeded if seeded at all.
Bare spots 50 feet wide are split by a 14 inch wide strip of grass on some fairways. Not just rain damage, nearby San Dimas Canyon is in great shape having endured more runoff than this course did. This course is just not well maintained. A real shame as the layout is well above average.

I always loved the layout of this course. Pace of play is always slow and it's still recovering from the rain storms. I would avoid this course if we get any rain. Because the course wraps around the mountain the low laying holes suffer.

I didn't expect much but was quite surprised by the layout of the course. It made you think about your shots and approach. The greens were just being aerated when we played so that really bummed me out. Also, there were few holes that still need fixing from the rain damage but overall was a good experience. I would definitely play here again.

Played here on 4/23, the course is not too bad. It was muddy because of the rain the night before. The pace was very slow because we are following a five-some whose following a five-some too. Not bad for the price for it is quite challenging!

Ditto, HORRIBLE conditions. Winter rains did a number on many of the holes. #1 is trashed, tractor tracks in the rough. I guess their doing draining work after the fact, had gravel cutting across the fairways. Greens still need at least 2 more weeks for the punch holes to heal. Still can't believe the rating is only 70.4 from the tips. I know it's a short course, but the slopes and blind shots are brutal for me being a bogey golfer. I'm gonna stay away from the place for at least 2 or 3 months, the drainage work is gonna be there for a while.

This course is in HORRIBLE condition now. Played, SUnday, APril 11. A lot of FAirways have thick 6-7 inch grass growingn on them (under repairs i assume). You can hit a gorgous drive in the middle of the fairway and still lose your ball. I think around 6 holes had this. It was such horsecrap.

ALSO BEWARE!!!!! dont leave your personal belongings unattended. My buddy got his clubs ripped off when we went into the 19th hole to ORDER lunch. we were gone maybe 2 minutes, and his bag was gone. We complained, and the course couldnt do anything. 20 minutes later, someone else's bag got jacked as well. 2 bags in 20 minutes. Says a lot about the people that hang out at the course.

I played on 4/8, couple of the par 5's were changed to par 3 due to rain damage. Overall, the course was pleasant and enjoyable.

Played on 2/13 contending with the Winternationals next door at the Fairgrounds. The course was a mess due to the heavy rains, particularly on #1, 8, 11 and 15. Standing water in the fairways. The greens were decent, with many ball marks due to lazy patrons who REFUSE to fix their marks and be respectful to others. Some things never change!!!! Rating is skewed because of the fairways being underwater. Probably a decent track without the the rain damage.

Played last Sunday 2/27. Course was in horible condition on Hole # 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 there was significant water damage. To top it of it took us 4 1/2 hours to only complete 10 holes. We were to tee off at 1pm we did not get off till 2pm. They were letting fivesomes off that couldn't hit 100 yards even if they threw it. Complained before teeing off to starter, was told there was no marshall on duty. For weekend that's a suprise. Used to like going there I have since changed my mind because of the service.

Two days after the rain, Course was in horrible condition, wet and mudy spot everywhere. Especially, on hole 12, there is no more fairway, mud, mud and more mud. tee boxes were in the worst shape. Hole 16 was a PAR 5, now it is a PAR 3, rough is too high for most of fairways, This course needs alot of care. They need to rebuild the draining system, if there is one! The only OK spot are the greens and bunkers!!! I have played here several times, this was one of my top courses in the area, I have never seen anything like this and it's sad to see it in this condition.

Played 1/23 and the course still was wet on three of the four par fives along with hole number two. Pace of play was slow due to fivesomes and cart path only. Greens are in good shape and rough is high in spots due to the swampy conditions at certain holes. Still a good bang for the buck.

Played Sunday 11/21 at noon and it was still very cold and windy. Slow at first but marshal did good job of getting everybody moving by back 9. Greens were good but lots of leaves twigs etc made long putts difficult. It is a very interesting lay out with different looks to each hole. Conditions good for a muni exzcept tee boxes which were very uneven.

played sunday morning nobody there but it was colddddddddd. rained the night before but never saw a drop while we were playing. so course was a little wet. greens kinda of bumpy from aeration but rest of course alright. some bunkers very wet some not wet at all. overall good day considering cold weather, wet traps, uneven tee boxes, and bumpy greens thanks to fngolfer. paid for lunch.

Played here on 9/21 and course was in overall pretty good shape. The fairways were well kept (minus a few dry spots), the sand was soft and dry (except for 1 hole), and the greens were rolling nicely. My only complaint would have to be the overwhelming number of non-repaired divots on the green which is the fault of the golfers I suppose. Started a round at 3:15 and finished by appx. 6:45 with a 4-some. Hope to play here again soon.

This is one of my favorite golf courses. Its allways in great shape considering the amount of play it gets. I played here on tuesday the 24th around 4:00pm. I got seventeen in eventhough we had of the worlds slowest group in front of us. The one thing that bugs me is the tree infront of the tenth green. I dont get it it must be there to penalize a great drive. Overall a very challenging course.

Course in good shape
Played in just under 4 hours on a friday afternoon (not bad)
This is a very chalanging course with some tight fairways lined with trees or o/b. If thats not enough they have many bunkers to catch off target shots.
It has many dogleg holes and elevated tees and greens. The greens put true and are medium speed.
Over all a nice golfing experience. Will play here again.

Great course! Only paid 18.75 to ride at 3:00. They give a large discount if the weather is over 95 degrees. Pace was very good and you get some nice views on the back nine. Also you may see some rabbits and coyote. Very peaceful course to play.

Course should really encourage players to fill divot holes w/sand, and make sure sand bottles on carts are filled each round. Also, fix ball marks and RAKE TRAPS. It wouldn't hurt to run rake machine through traps on an every-other-day basis.

Course all in all is in good condition and the greens were rolling very true. They had some major tree trimming done on a friday afternoon that was kind of distracting, but not to the point where it effected play. All In all I recommend this course to all players of any level, especially if you want to be challenged.

THE COURSE IS IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION FOR A COUNTY COURSE. THE FAIRWAY AND ROUGHS ARE CUT TIGHT ENOUGH TO GET GOOD BOUNCES AND ROLLS. THE GREENS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, VERY TRUE ROLL. THE BUNKERS HAVE GOOD QUALITY SAND AND HAS SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO GET OUT EASIER. PLAYING THE COURSE IS A LITLE DECEIVING, BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO PLAY LONGER THEN THE 6440, STATED. BECAUSE, IT SLOPES EITHER RIGHT ALOT OR LEFT ALOT OR YOU HAVE TREE LINES THAT YOU HAVE TO SHOOT BETWEEN. BECAUSE OF ALL THE HILLS AND SLOPES YOU WILL SOMETIMES END UP WITH A BLIND SHOT . OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT CHALLENGING COURSE. YOU WILL HAVE TO SET YOUR SHOT UP FOR THE NEXT ONE VERY CAREFULLY- NO "GRIP-IT AND RIP-IT". THE DAY WAS ALOT OF FUN, PLAYED WITH A COUPLE OF GREEENSKEEPER.ORG MEMBERS.

If you LOVE bashing tee balls off cliffs, cutting corners on doglegs and just beating the crap out of a golf ball, then this is your place to play. What a fantastic layout, a challenge from the back tees. #13 is one of the PREMIER 3 pars in all of Southern California. 12/13/14/15 are my favorite stretch of consecutive holes anywhere in the Untied States, closely followed by 4/5/6/7/8. Highly playable and scorable if you're hitting the ball well. Expect some waits on weekends, as there are some demanding shots that you'll need to have experienced before in order to have a game plan.

wow some of you guys sure complain. well if you tee off after noon time on any weekend at any course you sure barely finish. 5 hours is the norm at any course and it does get dark at about 5pm these days. No one should apologize to you wake up early if you want to finish early. Hate to tell the other guy that you have to punch the tees and greens every so often so the course stays in great shape. This is a great course and you wont find a better value anywhere
