4/10 using teeoff deal time $15 after 25% discount--Fairways remain in good condition never had a bad lie--generally firm enough to give some roll while still providing good cushion. Rough can cause problems impeding shots and often being just long and wirery enough to make solid contact difficult--areas around the greens can require a well planned and well executed shot especially with the firmness of the greens and often being short sided as well.
Tees ok for the most part. Bunkers mixed generally thin with hard pan in the flat areas but better on up slopes.
Greens are really good-- fast-- firm but receptive to well struck full shots. Chips and pitches were difficult to get close. Putts rolled well but with some subtle breaks judging the exact speed was a challenge.
Comfortable friendly staff--nice POP 3 1/2 hours with minor waiting.

3/5 on short notice after finding out that the 15south toward Escondido and the Vineyard was virtually closed with a 2 hour delay--so stayed local using GSC $22 voucher with range balls. Fairways have been mowed have good cover providing good lies. There is still a marsh-like area to the right of #2 fairway between 75-30 yards in. Rough is a factor along most fairways impeding the ball and depending on the lie making for a rather difficult shot. Approaches to the greens have a nicely mowed area but they are framed by deeper rough and areas along sides of the greens have even deeper grass requiring a well planned shot and definitive execution. Tees still the same generally ok for cover but markers can be located on un-level ground. Found left greenside bunker on 13 which has the newer sand nicely compacted and quite playable. Greens in good shape smooth medium fast--the best feature of the course. There will be times during construction on 5 and 6 that staff will escort golfers from #4 out on the street to what was #7--now #5. Good customer service. This is a friendly local community/muni layout that will test your skills--not a premium high end course but provides a reasonable alternative with some good rates available.

Got a good rate on GNow, $15 w/cart. Got off a few minutes early from TTime, with another single and a 2some.

CPO only on all holes, so it hurt PoP, which ended up being 4 hrs, 30 mins. Check-in was fine, with the friendly starter, got us out maybe 10 mins early, at 12:25pm.

Never played here before, and have heard various feedback from a number of guys I've run into on other courses. Some people have praised it, others have admonished the tract.

I will say, at times it was confusing to know what club to hit. Holes 5 & 6 were closed, and a number of holes later included 'temporary' greens, added holes, and they were not in sync with what my Garmin GPS indicated on shots into the new, temporary greens. At least twice, I had hauled a club or two with me, only to learn that the 'temporary' greens were completely off from the expected yardage measurements.

Tee quality was hit/miss, some reasonable grass coverage, with the majority being tough to get a flat lie, smooth stance without the divots getting in the way on one's footing. 4/10

Fairways were not cut recently due to recent rains, I guess. Mostly needed to roll it. Some casual water on at least 1/2 the holes, and on hole #2, a 'casual' lake that consumed my 2nd shot, right, but near the green, not to be found until it dries out. 4/10

Rough was generally long and penal, 5/10.

Sand traps ranged from wet puddles, to heavy damp sand to fluffy sand. 4/10

Greens were great. As previously reported, the shining star of this course. Firm and not generally receptive, they did offer smooth and 'fast' green putting. A few 'bumps', at timesi putting, but otherwise smooth. 8/10

No cart lady. Marshal came by once. Water on 1 hole on the front, along with a johnny-loo on the 4th tee, and another water jug on the back nine, perhaps the 14th hole.

Reasonable challenge, and tight layout. Doubtful I will return anytime soon, but no doubt better if the fairways were maintained at a higher level. A nice challenge, but an unremarkable tract, imho. Clubhouse needs some investment.

If you live nearby, OK, I understand the attraction due to the price. But, otherwise, not worth the drive, imho.

2/15 using GSC $22 voucher 1st time with alternate layout due to construction on 5 and 6--course has updated score cards and rating--the 2 "new" greens have been in place for about 6 months and are of good quality and give the option of varied pin placements.
Fairways were mostly ok with some damp areas 2 17 and 18 were still CPO--rough was challenging and in some areas near the greens downright difficult. Bunkers needed a little more time and grooming. Tees have enough cover but depending on marker placement can be on a slope.
Because we started at 715 greens were a little wet and bumpy--had not yet been swept or mowed for the day--by about 8 we were met by the green's crew so the rest were in better shape. Still a little slower than usual and with more grain to contend with.
Friendly customer service.

2/10 foggy am but no rain under 4hr POP with no real waiting nor being pushed--spent a little time searching for the errant shot. CPO #2 17 and 18--fairways still damp soft and only 1/2 recently mowed--lies ok with LCP in place. Rough is abundant and especially long and wet around the greens. Traps still pretty wet with compacted sand--most look to have been groomed but are still wet below the surface--need about 2 dry weeks yet. Depending on marker placement tees can be sloped or crowned or level. Cover ok.
Greens a little more grainy adding break with loss of speed-- medium fast overall.

Apparently the major construction affecting holes 5 and 6 is planned to start 2/13. Replacement greens have been in place for a while--#9 fairway will have a short par 4 and a par 3 into the regular green and #11 a par 4 and a par 3 to the regular green--as it stands now course will play to a par 69.

1/27 2nd of our birthday rounds course is still quite wet--CPO yet today and until 2/1. Needed L/C/P due to the mud gathering on the ball--not much roll--able to find acceptable lie but often still squishy--rough is long wet not mowed. Tees ok--never was in any traps but they looked wet.
Greens were really good smooth medium fast and receptive overall. POP under 4hrs caught 3some on 16 who let us right thru.

1/6 using GSC $22 voucher with range balls hot dog and soda--playing on a soggy day after much needed rains CPO for a 4hr POP on a really nice January day. Played lift clean and place as fairways were wet with many areas of casual water--was able to find ok to good lies and didnt need to move the ball about 1/2 the time. Areas of rough were extra juicy and deeper near the greens. Bunker on 3 compacted sand over mud base. All looked to need a good grooming but were too wet for today and some with standing water like #12. Tees ok with markers mostly on fairly level areas. Greens were really good-- smooth rolling medium fast--had been brushed to take off the excess moisture. Very receptive but firm enough to not be squishy. Easy going friendly staff with good customer service. Did not do a rating today due to the rain induced conditions--but would emphasize that the greens were outstanding.

12/2 played here for the 4th time in the last 2 1/2 weeks each time with different overall conditions once after weekend rains--soggy cart path only--once the Friday before mens club weekend tourney--greens cut and rolled--a random Wednesday--greens a little slower--and today in a 3 club wind.
Fairways remain quite good overall some thin areas #9 in particular but the worst areas are marked GUR. The holes that are cart path only have more unfilled divots as the sand containers are way too heavy for the average golfer. Still had good lies in all the rounds.
Rough has been cut down along fairways but is still a distance thief. One type of grass lets the ball sink down ti the point that you see about a dime size piece of the ball--fun fun. Around the greens longer more typical type of grass about 3-4 inches at times--left of # 6 for example.
Bunkers are varied some have new sand--#5 and 6-- more compacted from the rains and recently groomed.
Tees have ok cover but often can have slope or crowns.
Greens have been consistently good and on the one Friday were exceptional
POP mostly at 4 hours. Good friendly staff.

I had some concerns as to how the course would handle the recent rains, which were desperately needed. There were some areas which were muddy, but overall, nothing too bad. Most of the fairways were fine, but the thin areas were a bit "iffy". Greens were the best part of the course.

Staff is always great here and very accommodating, using a groupon, price was right. As always, out early so no issues with pace of play. I don't play here very often, because few of the holes on this course are somewhat bizarre. However, there are enough decent holes, coupled with the cost and great customer service to justify an occasional visit.
