First out on a very windy morning. As a result, any balls above the hole and/or downwind were nearly impossible to stop. Fairways have great coverage, nice and green and lush. Bunkers as usual were good, but a few are getting a bit compacted. Rough is still an issue. Maybe when the hot weather arrives, they will grow in and provide a more consistent surface.

(Until they dry out again) Fairways nice & green with good coverage. Bunkers excellent, but getting a bit compacted. The rough is still an issue. Maybe when the warm weather arrives it will grow in more?

Not so crowded in the early mornings now, perhaps the cold is keeping players away? Works for me !

Played on 1/12 Tuesday morning. We were originally scheduled for South course but I played the South on my last visit in December but only 9 holes on North so I asked to switch to North which we were granted. I love this course. Its definitely not somewhere I want to play everyday since their greens can get borderline ridiculous but when I think I'm the man in putting, I come here to get myself humbled. Practice area has been mat only during my last 3 years of visiting but there are decent space for about 25 to 30 players. Starter shack has ice cold bottled water available and runs efficiently. Both courses are very fun but I just love the greens on North course. Greens are pretty hilly and when they put it on top of the crown, all its missing is one of those clowns with wicked smiles. It wasn't as bad my last visit in mid December but it was still wicked. We had multiple chip shots that rolled to the hill past the hole that rolled back about 5 to 10 yards back to the hole. Above the hole, your knees rattle even on 2 to 3 foot putt because you know when it goes past the hole, it'll just keep going like an energizer bunny. But all said, I am looking forward to those so I visit here annually. Fairways are in great shape with firm feel that you can really spin your irons when struck properly. Some of the rough are little beat up but who goes there anyways. =P
Bunkers are fairly deep but definitely playable with nice compact sand that promote easy out. Looking forward to coming back and getting my putting critiqued again next time.

After weeks of the greens being so fast, almost to the point of being unfair and unplayable, they have brought the green speeds down to a manageable pace. With all the slope on the North greens, anything above 11 - 11.5 is borderline ridiculous. While you still can't stop the ball from above the hole, at least when you putt from beneath the hole, it doesn't roll back past where you started from. Fairways are lush and greens, bunkers are great, tee boxes fine, just the rough needs attention. Not good !

Looking forward to the rains predicted Monday, which re badly needed. Course looks nice right now with the bright green fairways, dormant brown rough and contrasting while sandd in the bunkers.

Finally able to get back out on the North course. First time since Halloween due to over seeding. Still carts on path, which will remain so for at least another week.

Finally able to get back out on the North course. First time since Halloween due to over seeding. Still carts on path, which will remain so for at least another week.

Greens are nice, but not as good as expected. They were fairly quick, I'd guess 11+. Fairways are growing in nicely, not much roll until they mow them. Bunkers are all excellent. Rough is fair at best. You'd think they would have addressed this when they over seeded?

Nice to have both courses open again, which should make things a bit less crowded.

Last day the North course will be open for a month or so due to over seeding/aeration. Pleased I could get out this morning and enjoy the course before the maintenance. Greens are really nice now (As is the case with most courses just prior to punching) Fairways good, rough somewhere inconsistent. A few of the tee boxes need attention, so hopefully this will be corrected. Not looking forward to how crowded it will be for the next month with only one course open and 1000+ members trying to make tee times.

Recovering from aeration performed last week, the greens are as expected - bumpy. But appears they should be decent within another 7-10 days. ( I hope because the South Course is being closed for over seeding for 3-4 weeks in October ) Otherwise the course is in nice shape. Fairways have good coverage and is nice & green despite the recent heat wave. Bunkers are some of the best around still. Tee boxes are much improved. With only one course open and over 1000 members and spouses, competition for tee times is quite fierce.

First out as usual, but as previously indicated, not early as the first tee times are now at 7am. Lots of maintenance on the course, which has become the norm, now that I can no longer tee off at sunrise. In all fairness, the course is in very nice condition, but I miss getting out "pre-dawn" and walking, enjoying the sunrise, empty course, etc.

With everything looking so good, they are scheduled to begin green aerification, and then total over seeding of both course soon, which means one course closed for at least a month, so it will be rather competitive to secure early tee times. It's always something !

It has been about one month since they reopened the North Course, and the new green surrounds have filled in beautifully. In fact the fairways are as nice as I've seen them in a very long time. Bunkers have plenty of sand, but are beginning to show some compaction? Greens roll well, but have not ever recovered their normal speed? The only issue is the areas surrounding the tee boxes, but the actual tees themselves, but the adjacent areas.

So now that the course is back open and looking good, they will be closing it down again for another week or so for more maintenance. I should be happy they are putting the time/money into improvements, but it seems that we never have access to two courses any more, and with new tee time restrictions, makes it much tougher to get a desired tee time.
