I played in a tournament here Sunday and I have to agree with pyro and Markio. There's just nothing special about the course at all. I mean it's in good condition, the tee boxes, fairways, and greens are lush and nice but I think my problem was with the layout of the course. It is in a word... boring. I understand the lack of trees since its a links style course but with the dry wash and native areas playing as ground under repair, with a free drop, where's the challenge? On some of the short par 4's and par 5's guys were literally aiming for the dry wash in order to get an extra 50-100 yards of roll, then pick up their ball, drop laterally and boom, short approaches left. I don't mean to rant but there's nothing to write home about. I would not recommend it to anyone with all the other courses in the desert that offer more for around the same price.

Mi first time Golfing in Palm Desert/Palm Spring. Needless to say, most of the views from the course were very impressive to me, but some areas looked a bit abandoned and kind of rough.
Some of the bunkers have small stones that can damage your wedges, be careful.
Most of the fairways were in good condition and the greens were very firm and a bit fast, ok for the most part.
Overall the course played ok, not difficult at all for mid to high handicappers.
I was not aware about the free drop if you end up in the wash, I struggled to get out of it a few times duh!.
The staff was very nice and very accommodating.
I paid $60, I though it was worth it, but There are too many other options out there to play the same course twice unless you loved it. I didn't.

My buddy liked this course way more than I did. Of course he broke 70 so his opinion doesn't really count. Everyone was really nice, but it just wasn't worth the money. We paid over $80 and there are ... Continue »

My buddy liked this course way more than I did. Of course he broke 70 so his opinion doesn't really count. Everyone was really nice, but it just wasn't worth the money. We paid over $80 and there are just so many other places to play for less than that. Also, I am not a huge fan of the dry wash that it's located in. It's not too bad from the fairway, but at times it looks horrible. If my best friend was going there, I'd let him go, but tell him to give one more look around for another option.

Just one more desert style ,regular flat (no surprise!) golf course.Played sunday morning 10/22/06 as a member of tournament.This course never gives to you any surprise,prognosticable layout with old fashioned GPS even tends to bore.Charging $100 green fee just because begun palm spring's season not really fits me.Reasonable tee boxes ,good well looking fairways but greens not yet recovered still from their aeration or overseeding whatever.Starter said all native area (all yellow grasses ,environmental hazard?)along the fairways plays like ground under repair without penalty makes us get good scores the champion played 6 under.Maybe 2-3 weeks later greens get much better conditions, then you can enjoy mostly perfect conditions of course.Cart girls very attentive & active.Gentle & active marshall too.

Fun course with great value when compared to others in the area.

Greens are like velcro-slow...not much you can do there. they start a shotgun at 7:00am and not have the clubhouse ready for the lunch rush, so there were a lot of waiting and disappointment. much better to drive down 111 or somewhere to get food and drinks then come back. Morning round took about 4:10. Afternoon took about 3:15.
