Had not played here in a while and after reading chevelle's recent reviews, decided it was time to return. Always enjoy my rounds here because the staff is friendly and accommodating and it's just a fun course to play. Not too demanding, but enough of a challenge to keep your interest. Chevelle's review right on point. Greens rolled very well and had decent speed. Most of the fairways had good coverage. Rough was a bit inconsistent - some thin, some rather juicy. Both bunkers I found had well raked sand.

Nice to get back to a course I hadn't played recently. Brought back some good memories.

Played both Friday Aug 13th and Tue Aug 17th, the personal here are really nice, check in and the snack shop are great, the round Friday we tees off 1/2 hour late and it turned out to be a 4:40 round, today we teed off on time and had a 3:12 round, the course is in great shape, tee boxes and fairways are great, rough is a little long under the trees and you pay for not bringing the fairways, greens are very receptive and rolled very true, traps.... well this is a SOCAL golf course that is not a resort, LOL enough said. We will be playing here probably 3 to 4 times a month, just a real nice relaxed day.

Played Tues July 20th at 6:46. Check in fast, restaurant was open and had a one egg sandwich to go, very good. Got out 5 minutes before the men's club. Due to the heat wave they had sprinklers on at every hole and you had to avoid them, wasn't much roll in the fairways because of that. The first 2 greens were a little soggy that time of the morning but I am sure they dried out. Some of the rough was a little long under the trees, and some of the bunkers had good sand, others had water from the sprinklers. Tee boxes were good, a few hard spots but always had a level lie. Greens rolled a touch slow, they usually do here, but I know they added extra water because of the heat, rolled true thought. Always a pleasure to play this course. POP was 3:45 we were done by 10:30 but it was still hot and humid

Played Friday may 7th at 7am. Course is not busy at this time of the morning, i think you could walk on and get out. check in fast. Tee boxes were again hard, in fact 1 of my guys was complaining he broke another tee on hole 12 and I finally said to him, you are a multi millionaire, stop complaining about breaking those cheap wood tees and buy something plastic ones, Lol, the next hole he hit a terrible tee shot but didn't break his tee and one of the other guys said, at least you didn't break your tee lol, anyway, fairways were good, looks like all the over seeding is done. Some of the spot next to the greens were very wet and balls plugged, greens rolled very nice. POP was 338, but felt slow as a 3 some was pushing us. Snack bar open for breakfast and lunch, eat in or out.

Played Tues April 20th at 723, it was very busy as the men's club were going out behind us. Check in fast and it was $51 again for senior, disappointing it should be $46. Some tee boxes were a little hard, some fairways were chewed up as they were seeding, rough is getting longer, not in any traps, greens were all healed and very fast. This place usually has slower spongy greens, not soggy like Marshall Canyon, but just soft, they were hard and ran, very difficult to get used to after putting on sanded, cut greens the last 2 weeks, I had 33 putts but 3 putted 4 times. The last hole I was below the green by 15 feet and when I hit the putt the guys said that is short, it ended up 6" from the hole, the ball was really running out. POP was 342 which is good, but I felt pushed on the back 9 as a 2 some with the men's club was on our butts. Still like this place but it is 1 of the mid courses that has raised their price too much.

Played Friday April 2nd at 728. Everything open. Check in fast, was disappointed at the price of $51 for senior, not sure if that is the new price or holiday rate as it was good Friday. As stated before they are areating a few holes each week and yesterday it was 4, 8 and 14, if they did it Monday and since it was Friday, those greens were actually not in that bad of condition. Some of the other greens were really nice. POP was a little slow at 4:17,but we saw the Marshall 4 times and he appeared to be trying to get a group going faster. Fairways are in good winter conditions, tee boxes level and not bad, bunkers were not good at all. It was extremely busy when we finished. I like this course and hope to be bad soon.

Played here on Fri 3/19 with a tee time of 7:53. The twosome i was supposed to be paired with didn't show up so they moved me back one slot and off we went. First few holes were a bit slow but the marshal came around and lit fire under the group ahead and then things moved fine. Finished right 4:15. Range and practice green both open and masks required in the shop for checkin.
Tee boxes are a mixed bag with some lush and some a bit thin but acceptable overall.
The fairways are in good winter shape with only a couple a bit thin in areas. Rough is thin and not an issue to play from.
Bunkers are lacking sand but playable.
They are punching and sanding two greens per week thur April and this week it was 7 & 18. Other than those the greens are in very good shape and rolled medium quick with very few old ball marks.
When I left it was very busy around the clubhouse and a few people were eating inside the snack bar. The cart was around twice once on each nine.
I had only played here once before years ago and I enjoyed the round and plan to return more often.

My last review of Jurupa was extensive, this will be brief. Played with a buddy today and two singles getting off around 12:15, and all playing the whites. The course plays firm and fast with a lot of rollout. There are some areas in the course that are very tight, dry and even hardpan, but most of it has decent and playable coverage. No problems with the tee boxes, rough was playable with trees or dirt lies being the more punishing aspects, and chipping was tight. Missed the bunkers so no comment. The greens were mostly pretty quick and in good shape with some tricky nuances to them. The glaring exception was that about four holes were fully punched and sanded. I was remiss in checking GK before booking, but when i came home and checked, there was nothing here that would have tipped me off, so I'm off to the aeration thread to report. Pace was sluggish but steady at something around 4.75 hours. It was beautiful warm day, I like the layout and had a nice time and enjoyed the course. Essentially in the same shape as the last time I played it except for the punched greens.

Played Fri Feb 26th at 8am, check in fast, range and putting greens open, got out on time. There was a 4 some in front of the 3 some in front of us that slowed things down, i think the Marshall said something on hole 5 and it was good for about 9 holes but then slowed up again in the end. The course had severe wind damage from Thursdays winds, at least 8 to 10 trees down and the fairways had allot of debris on them, they were working hard to clear the fairways. Everything was hard, the fairways, greens and even a few tee boxes, the ball ran on the fairways and there were no ball marks to repair on the greens. The greens rolled very true though and I did have a good putting day. Course appeared to be busy at 1215 when we finished, always like this track, decent price, not stuffy and some tight holes, can't wait to come back.
